Where did the IMAP folder subscription settings go? I am not seeing all of the folders on my server by default. Historically I could go scan for those and choose whether they appeared or not. That option has disappeared. Are they now supposed to all show up at all times? I find specifically that the special folders on Exchange servers can't be selected in Thunderbird. It insists on 'Sent' and 'Trash' which don't exist in Exchange. Unfortunately I can't really determine whether that is because Exchange is not offering those folders or they are just not subscribed.

I know that Thunderbird supports importing of file based signatures, indeed I assume that signatures are stored locally in the profile folder as a file.

I was wondering has anybody found a tool that can automatically poll a share on a network (or a html page for that matter) for a new version of a signature that can be copied to the users Thunderbird profile so that user automatically gets a new signature from time to time?

I think this is very do-able and for us is an important component of switching business customers from a desktop version of Outlook on Windows to Thunderbird on Linux. If there is no such tool we might spend some time looking at it ourselves (or paying someone to do it) but I was hoping someone else has done this...?

After 30 or so emails downloaded this morning from Comcast, the following error appeared:

The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server mail.comcast.net responded: Message 109 expunged.

It started with message 111 but has dropped by 1 each time the attempt was made. When I login directly to my comcast account, there are no error messages seen except that for a while, the email symbol had a red dot at the bottom which has now gone away. Cannot get tech support at Comcast and the local office has no technical support capability.

Good morning, I would like to ask you advice with view of original message. I obtained message from sender Allianz company and when I click on this message display me message from other sender <napistenam@mailing.b2bpartner.sk> and Im not able display original message from Allianz with attchment. I've added a new account to TB but it is showing up as it's own folder. I want it included in the Local Folders like all my other accounts. I've spent ages checking settings but have been unable to find why this one has vreated it's own folders. I thought the "Copies and Folders" settings would be the place to sort this, but there is nothng here for incoming mail. TIA, ZTB

(Using T'bird version 108.0.1) When addressing an email to a recipient, an incorrect email pops up in the "To" area. I've tried editing the address, but the next time I try to email him, the incorrect address shows up again. How do I permanently delete this address? (His email address is correct in my address book.)

When I write a message in Thunderbird email, and I use the 'enter' button, it automatically double-spaces between each line instead of just one space between lines. I can't find anything to fix this. I want single spacing in my emails and I will provide the double spacing by entering it twice.

I've just switched from Windows 8.1 to Windows 11. I changed the registry keys that control the width and height of the scrollbars, but they're still as thin as before in both Firefox and Thunderbird. I found a solution for FF in the forums, but nothing for TB.

I added a profile to Thunderbird by starting Thunderbird with the -P option.

When I start TB now, I always get a 'Welcome to TB' message asking me to configure e-mail, agenda, addressbook, ... I believe this happens because TB does know with which profile to start. Here is the ini.file:

Hello all

Been using Gmail with POP3 settings for several years. About 2 weeks ago it stopped working. I have 2 step authentication enabled. Just stopped and cant recognize username and password. I am using Windows 11 Peo and latest version of Thunderbird. Any suggestions? Or should I remove it and use Outlook?

When I have Firefox or Thunderbird running for awhile, I notice the background all of a sudden switches to black and the type turns to white. Why does it do that? Is there a control that I can stop that from happening? It's hard to work with those colors. I am working on a 2017 iMac computer.

I am using the latest version of Thunderbird and have always wanted to remove the search bar. I tried draging and dropping it in to customize tool bar but did not go. I do not use it and feel it takes up un necessary space

I have used Preclick Gold photo organizer for years to send photos via Thunderbird email. After updating Thunderbird today (12/22/22) I can no longer send photos. A message appears MAPI Error-2147467259. What can I do to fix this?

The latest version of Thunderbird (102.6.1) has made new designed messages presentation in sent items, where it seems are ordered by subject and not as old versions by dates and copies of each email sent. Although may be due to spaces and emails duplication, the new design is not friendly and practically, requiring time for searching and track emails.

It generates more confusion and doubts as; if has sent or has lost.

Thunderbird displays a very nice listing of emails showing From:, Subject:, Date:, and Size:

Very often, I want to copy and paste that display, or download it into a file. Any editable format! .txt! .csv! .doc!

This should be nearly trivial since you already have to display the information. Even easier, since there are no worries about line width, etc.

Alternatively, do you document the organization of the database you use for searching messages? Does it fit with mysql or any common database manager?

I have "keep messages for this account on this computer" checked for my IMAP account and folders checked for Download in "Items for Offline Use" window - but I can not see relevant mbox files (no extension) in my file structure. I can only see "message summary files (.msf), which is not helpful for offline work.

How do I get a full copy of my IMAP folders onto my computer so I can access it/back it up locally when offline?

I have one computer with error "user authenticated but not connected". I have already reinstalled software, re-created user account. Changed password.

On account recreation OAuth2 do not display regular app rights display at end of Oauth2 login cycle. Microsoft Mail works on same computer and same account works on other machine.

How to completely reset Thunderbird settings?

Hi Currently can't receive emails on my Outlook-based accounts (sending still works). No error message, just "sending login information" at the bottom continues with no result. This happened a while ago too and I discovered the fix was to use the OAuth2 authentication method. All was good until 2 days ago when same problem occurred. Tried removing the OAuth PW, restarted TB, was asked for PW, then still the same issue.

Using following POP settings: server: outlook.office365.com port: 995 security: SSL/TLS authentication: OAuth2 TB version: 102.6.1 (32-bit)

Any advice much appreciated.

When importing WLM contacts.csv file to TB, the fields available do not match the source fields. For example, for the source email file there is no corresponding selection available in the destination selection. How can I select the appropriate destination field? (I copied a screen shot to Word, but since I upgraded to Windows 10 I can't find files.)
