I checked filters deleted all of then for every account. Checked my email provider not that. I have extensive computer experience as I went to college for computer science, was a network admin and a programmer as well as a web designer/coder so it is not an issue of ignorance. It happens intermitantly. Doesn't seem to follow a pattern in respect to who the emails are from.

Thunderbird sometimes hangs when sending emails or saving draft emails. For example when I compose and send an email, the email often remains displayed and does not close. If I click the close "X" I often get a warning message that Thunderbird is still sending the email, or that Thunderbird sent the email but did not copy the email to the sent folder. This is on a PC running Windows 10.

I have been using Thunderbird for several years. It has been stable, it remembered my passwords, and the calendar synchronized with my Google calendar without issue.

I recently installed a Windows update, to Windows 10 Home, version 21H1, build 19043.1889. Since the update Thunderbird frequently crashes, typically after around 10 to 30 minutes after starting.

In the hope it might resolve the crashing, I installed Thunderbird 102.2.0. Since then Thunderbird continues to crash frequently, plus I now have had the following issues:

1) Every time I start Thunderbird, Provider for Google Calendar requires me to enter my Google password and authenticate on my phone. Previously Provider just needed the password and authentication at the time of initial set up only.

2) When I click 'Get Messages', Thunderbird asks for the password to my e-mail account. If I check the box for 'Use password manager to remember this password' then 'Get Messages' always fails. If I do not check then 'Get Messages' is successful, but I have to enter the password every time.

3) Similarly, when I send an e-mail Thunderbird asks for the password to my e-mail account. If I check the box for 'Use password manager to remember this password' then sending the message always fails. If I do not check then sending the message is successful, but I have to enter the password every time.

After updating to MacOS Ventura Thunderbird starting slow.

I get this error message:

I have only one profile installed, but when I start Thunderbird using the terminal /Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/MacOS/thunderbird-bin -P

it starts very fast but I get an error

UNSUPPORTED (log once): POSSIBLE ISSUE: unit 1 GLD_TEXTURE_INDEX_2D is unloadable and bound to sampler type (Float) - using zero texture because texture unloadable

One more thing is, that I can't see any images and there is no button any more to allow it for each email separately.

I also tried to reinstall Thunderbird, but even then it starts very slow.

What can I do? Any idea?

I have switched to gmail because Sky e-mail does not work well with Windows - even using the web page. So far, Thunderbird has worked fine with it. But I have an intermittent problem. The toolbar icon and the account tabs will show that there is a new message in the Inbox. But it is not displayed in the main window (I sort messages by date received, and I don't use threads). If I switch to the "Important" or "All Mail" windows, it can be seen there (and accessed readily). So, why doesn't it appear in the Inbox window?

When I try to enter another email I can do it - but the title remains stuck on the previous email's title - and I can't read either. gI've tried by passing the firewall using the right hand `options' and it does nothing.

MacBook Pro Thunderbird 102.5.1 I have two accounts on Thunderbird. The one I rarely use is ok. But my primary email account wont download from the server. I havent changed anything. I talked with Tech Support re: my Internet provider and all setting on their side are fine. I've tried to Force Quit Thunderbird. Shut down computer...nthing works When i try to Get Messages I get error message "The account Tima's account is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete to get messages." This goes on forever and nothing happens.

After an update yesterday, thunderbird v104.2 opens up as a blank window. The menus show up and it seems to download messages, but I'm unable to see any folders or messages. I've tried deleting the "global..." file, I've uninstalled and reinstalled an older version, and nothing is working for me. I've read other threads about this issue and tried the solutions, but have not found one that works for me. I'd appreciate any new ideas. I'm running on Windows10 thanks

moving multiple emails to a folder keeps scrolling the folder window down to the bottom

I'm currently in v108.0b2 (32-bit) but it's been hapening for a few updates now. For some reason when i select and/or move multiple emails into another folder the folder window scrolls down to the bottom every time. So srolling up to sort emails into their folders pops the view back to the bottom and i have to re-scroll back up to sort more emails. I have to make sure those emails are selected too because just selecting more than 1 causes the folder view to pop back down again. It's never happened before just since the last 2 updates.

I would like to do some alterations to my email accounts that are configured. From my searching, it is suggested that all the email account configuration is in the prefs.js file in my TB profile.

It is really as simple as saving that file in case I screw up the accounts and then simply restoring it? That's what it seems, I just don't want to find out the hard way that I assumed facts not in evidence!

Hello, Thunderbird now crashes every time it connects to check for new email. The program locks up, I get the spinning beach ball, and I have to force quit to close it. Letting it sit for an extended time has no impact.

If I start Thunderbird without an internet connection it behaves normally. Once it reconnects to the internet and attempts to download email, it locks up.

If I start in Troubleshoot Mode with add-ons and extensions disabled, it works normally. No problems at all. I don't appear to have any add-ons or extensions running, so I don't understand why this is fixing things.

I had read a previous post about disabling access to Contacts in System Preferences, I tried that, no luck.

What can I do to try to fix this>

I have 2 email addresses for my Thunderbird email client. Total Unread emails show as a number in a red circle in my taskbar. Even after I have read all new emails in each account I must click on each INBOX icon to get that "unread" number to go away. I have had this for a long time. I have seen instructions on how to fix this problem, regarding deleting global-messages-db.sqlite, panacea.dat, session.json, xulstore.json and various msf files but it has not solved the problem of emails not appearing in local folders. After going through the process, the problem at first appeared to be fixed, but the emails were in jumbled chronological order: they were correct when set to oldest first, but not when set to most recent first. I then created a new sub-folder, copied emails, one at a time, from the old folder and deleted the old folder. This suffered from the same problem and when I looked at another folder and came back to the new one, the emails moved there today has disappeared again. Do you have any other solutions?

Where is the info for deleting these files on my email server? I deleted over 5000 emails. This has been going on for several days.
