I have a 39 gig profile folder on a win7 computer and have copied it to a hard drive Trying to import to a win11 computer by importing from profile folder. Before anything moves I get an unexpected error with no explanation Don’t know if I need to try a little at a time or if that even matters

I have a new computer that I have installed thunderbird on and have been using for a couple of weeks. I already migrated by address book over, but now need to just migrate my folders from my old computer. How do I only migrate folders and not my whole profile? I don't want to loose what I have on my new computer. I should mention I currently only have the folders in Thunderbird that are set up when you install the program. I have not made any new folders.

Thunderbird 15.4.2 was made available today. Since 15.4.1 reintroduced bugs from 15.0 (Hot Mess Edition first push) that had been fixed by 15.3, and I had bugzillad one, I wondered if 15.4.2 had fixed the bug they introduced in 15.4.1. I installed it and clicked on the usual place for release notes, and got an error message -- that page doesn't exist! They always put out release notes when a new version comes out. This time they didn't. Things really seem to be falling apart at MZLA.

And no, they haven't fixed the bug. Mailnews_scroll... in advanced settings still works backwards (set it to false if you want it to work).

Hi i'm trying to use 1 inbox for multiple emails but inside the inbox i want folders to act as different inboxes (i know it sounds complicated).

for example as i provided in the picture i want to use the inbox named Eurasia as the main inbox and create folders within which i will use them as receivers for the all the other emails (Carlos, Sophia, Sent).

Is this possible and if yes please if you could provide me with a step by step guide.

P.S the emails are POP3 as well as the second screen shot if from MS Outlook and it's the final result of what i want.

I have migrated sackvilleandlane@westnet.com.au from Westnet to The Messaging Company, they tell me it is successful, but I cannot get emails. They now tell me it is my provider. Can you please fix it for me? With thanks Heather

all of the sudden all messages are downloaded and immediately disappear. Also all folders appear empty. I cannot access anything I have saved, neither can I keep received messages in the mailbox.

Hi, I'm having a problem with my email. It comes to me through my website Bradfraser.net, and is hosted by Viux. Apparently Viux went out of business a while ago and didn't tell anyone. My email stopped arriving at bradfraser@bradfraser.net two weeks ago and all attempts to rectify this have been stymied by my not having my dashboard info for the site, and I am unable to get it from Viux. (Which seems to have a bot answering questions.) Is there any way you can help me access this email account and get it running again? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just downloaded the update (115.4.1), which has caused all kinds of problems. I can no longer automatically connect with my server, the typefaces have changed in my inbox, there are no longer 'get messages', 'reply', 'forward', 'write' buttons, etc. Can I simply remove this update? Thanks.

When I transferred my icloud email account to TB only a few of the 15 folders were transferred. Troubleshooting first with Apple, I was told to delete the account and re-create it. I did but that did not restore to lost folders. How can I get the rest of my folders to transfer?

How do I downgrade to an older version of Thunderbird on Rocky Linux (RHEL clone)?

For my last update (yum update -y) I got Thunderbird 115 which has lots of problems.

If I try “yum downgrade thunderbird”, I get the error: Last metadata expiration check: 3:43:41 ago on Tue 14 Nov 2023 04:57:52 PM EST. Package thunderbird of lowest version already installed, cannot downgrade it. Dependencies resolve

I downloaded: https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/102.9.1/linux-x86_64/en-US/thunderbird-102.9.1.tar.bz2 but when I unzip and click the thunderbird icon, Thunderbird doesn’t pick up my Thunderbird profile. I saw some windows downgrade tutorial that said to delete compatibility.ini from profile but when I deleted compatibility.ini Thunderbird still doesn’t pick my profile.

When moving email servers from Webmail to Zoho, I logged in to all the emails I wanted to backup/copy on my machine and made a copy of the IMAP folder. Fast forward, I want to restore/read from these legacy emails locally on Thunderbird on a different installation, and I'm finding it difficult.

I copied the folders back into the IMAP folder of the new machine but nothing happened.

I would appreciate help with this restoration.

I use Thunderbird for my work email. Since early October, I have had difficulty accessing the internet using Thunderbird. I can access my work email account through the web, but that is a bit clunky. I have no problem accessing the internet via Firefox, and I can access my work email via Thunderbird if I use my phone as a personal hotspot. Is there a setting on Thunderbird I need to change, or is my problem more with my internet provider (Quantum Fiber)?

Why is it that every time Thunderbird updater installs on my laptop, my taskbar link to it becomes unfindable and I have to 1 click on it so that Windows says it can't find it and would you like to remove it so I can then say yes, 2 wait until the taskbar link disappears, 3 go to my desktop icon for Thunderbird and right click to have it pin to the taskbar (AGAIN!) What does updater do to the taskbar pinned icon that it won't work until I remove, replace it, and go back to work??

Updater should NOTHING to do with any of my taskbar icons, let alone the one for Thunderbird. Tell me something I don't know.

I have tried multiple suggestions from the help site. Still cannot get Thunderbird to accept settings -

What am I doing wrong?
