Have used a Onetel e-mail account for a number of years.

Occasionally, the outgoing server drops out so messages can't be sent only received.

When trying to reconfigure with correct port numbers etc it will never reconnect straight away and there is always a long process to get it up and running again which always seems different every time.

I can never manage this by myself and always have to get help in. This has baffled the best brains in the business so any help or advice gratefully received.

I use Thunderbird to get my COX and Gmail emails. When Cox moves to Yahoo what needs to be changed in Thunderbird to get my emails? I cannot receive certain emails sent by interactive brokers which is trying to verify my profile and information on file. They told me to contact my email provider.

A: All these problems started after the new email version was installed, in-other-words, when the old version was updated! B: All of my email that was in my account / on my computer seem to be be there as far as I can tell. I can get to them, I can open them and see their contents. C: All is ok up til this point...as mentioned above and no new email has arrived. D: Now, as soon as I click on the "Get Messages" (Icon, looks like a cloud) in the upper left corner, is when I the Yahoo page of some sort pops on the screen, that's it. No mail arrives and I'm stuck with the Yahoo page covering most of the screen. E: I can click click around and try entering my email address but when I click on F: I see that images can be attached, and hope it works. My screen are,1920 x 1080, so I'll try and reduce the size of the images when I attach them. G: (Image A) After I inter my email address the red wording pops up.

    (Image B)   My email address pops up. That's it. Sometimes, If I click around a second page will pop up and

it becomes vicious circle and normally going back to the first page. (Note: A image) [about:blank] ??? Other pages have an address??? H. In these 4 days I have changed, added, deleted, used my Mozilla Reset Key, and this morning, per Mozilla's - Thunderbird's request, created another Reset key. Still no email. I do believe If this Yahoo thing was gone my email might start, just a guess now. H. Will all of the email that has not arrive still be available?? I. Almost forgot to mention. It seems a while back I saw instructions describing how to change the location of folders in the left column of Thunderbird. Specifically how to move the news feed folders above the inbox folder. How do I do that?

Happy to provide any more needed info.

I am going crazy. This message keeps popping up every time I turn on my Thunderbird email program on my Windows 10 laptop! Please see the attached file. I shows you the popup and what happens when I click on 'Next'. I 'x' it off, and a few seconds later it pops up again. The only way to stop it from doing so is to turn off my Thunerbird program. I like to keep it on so I know when I get emails. PLEASE help me get rid of this. Thanks so much.

I've got a Fastmail account, and have set up CardDav according to Fastmail's guide to get set up with Thunderbird.

Once my contacts synced, I was unable to see my contact lists in the Thunderbird contacts sidebar, nor can I add a list (the button is greyed out). Is this a known issue? Is it Fastmail specific, or a CardDav thing?

We've enjoyed T'bird on this PC for several years. About a year ago my wife got a new laptop; it came with Outlook as the default email program. It worked only fairly well, but now it has pretty much bitten the dust. I installed T'bird for her and it's working fairly well, but with a couple minor bugs. First, there is no address book in it and also the menu bar across the top is missing. HELP!!!!!

Find our why Google chrome and thunderbird will not respond. This had never happened before. Don't bother emailing me, EMAIL DOES NOT WORK. (Thunderbird and Chrome will not respond. All I get is error message when I enter my password for Chrome.)

With a simple mis-keystroke I deleted ALL but 1 email in my inbox... Oddly though this contained years on emails it only took a few seconds?!

So I immediately went into the profile in the roaming folder for windows 10 and searched for a backed up copy of the inbox... assuming that Thunderbird would do such a thing as I have seen in other email clients.

I found nothing like that. I searched everywhere I could think of for some old inbox file that would contain the emails or at least most of them... NOTHING. I just have never seen a client that didn't make routine backups of the data files.

Am I missing something? Is there a file somewhere?

I applied a now-archived solution previously submitted. It made the folder label disappear from the list. I went into subscribe again and the now missing folder label is there. I had checked subscribe, but it still is not visible when I open TB again.

What is happening to have this assortment of my extensive sub-folder list of messages to become unavailable to me? Can I access what I have pout into these folders through web-mail? I have not seen how to do that.

As you can see in the attached files, the "Daytimer' sub-folder is visible and checked in the Subscribe list, but it is gone in the Folders list. It was in the Folders list before I tries to fix it!

I use TB 115.9.0 (64-bit) on a Windows 10 machine.

Sadly, my old Windows 10 PC crashed, and I'm migrating to a new computer. I have a backup of the old default profile folder (9k7faw1z.default), but not of the entire Profiles folder. I have tried to import this old default profile using the import function in my new Thunderbird install on my new Windows 11 computer.

Alas, I get the error message "Import failed unexpectedly; more information may be available in the Error Console." I looked in the error console, and it's empty.

Is there a better way to import my old data from my old default profile folder? It's 3GB of valuable data and I'll be in a pickle if I can't access it.

Hello, I have two email addresses, one personnel, one business. The other night, Thunderbird asked me to download an update. Since downloading the update, all my business emails and subfolders are gone and have been replaced by my personnel email address and subfolders. (in the left hand pane - pic attached) The business emails and subfolders are on my main server yahoo, but are not on my Thunderbird program. Can someone help me to recover the business email address emails and subfolders? Thank you.

I have a thunderbird account but switched to gmail and now wish to return to thunderbird but error message 400 from Google appears each time.What do I need to do - in simple terms pls

Previously, for years, selecting and deleting groups of emails took only seconds. For sometime now, the more emails selected to delete as a group causes the amount of time to do so to become longer and longer. Minutes go by. It feels like instead of dealing with all of them at once, it's deleting one at a time, but that's just a guess. What can I do to get back to where it used to be? Thank you.
