I-Thunderbird Isithangami Sokwesekwa

As a longtime user and a regular subscriber to Mozilla, I can’t get access to Thunderbird. Reason is that I had to repair the hard drive and now I am locked out. I am unable to insert a master password because I never had one. Reason being that I have used Thunderbird for years and years before that was required. To say I am frustrated is an understatement. None of your automated advice has a remedy. Should I install a new version of Thunderbird and begin afresh? John Cotterell ( an Australian supporter of your project)

TB no longer will start. It just hangs and when I go to it on my Mac I see a spinning disk. That never changes and eventually, after hours, I must force quit and report it to Apple. I receive no messages or error codes.

I created my email signature and saved it as an HTML file. When I add it in my account settings, it displays the logo I have as a blank box. It also adds extra spacing in between each line. How do I get it to display the way I saved it?

About 2 weeks ago, Thunderbird stopped sending emails. I spent a couple of hours on the phone with tech support but was unable to correct the issue. Changed all of the settings several times, SMTP server, port, security and authentication without success. Tech support suggested using their server but that's a pain. I have an email account with IONOS and my wife has an account. We have had these accounts for several years. Recently my wife can not send email. We are configured the same and I do not have a problem. Server: smtp.ionos.com Port: 587 (tried others at IONOS support request) Security STARTTLS Authentication: Normal password. When she tries to send or forward with a simple text (one letter or larger, it does not seem to matter). She gets the following reply: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Transaction failed Reject due to policy restrictions. For explanation visit https://www.ionos.com/help/index.php?id=2425&ip=198.177.53.191&c=hd&r=0MQ4Bx-1rqmFh0x4l-00ErW3. Please check the message and try again." When trying to go to that web page, it does not exist. I have gone to IONOS support and we have both looked at the configuration and can see no differences between my set-up and hers. I have deleted all email address from her machine and reloaded Thunderbird (115.9.0), restarted her machine and added back her email. Same results, she can receive but not send. If she uses her phone, it works, and if you go to the IONOS web site and use there service it works. I'm at my wits end and can not figure it out. I have also opened an incident with the IONOS Postmaster, which I think is their second level support. Please help.

I am still receiving regular emails from other sources. But for some reason with this particular email or group of emails, they are unable to send to me anymore. I have no idea why. I have attached the message that my client received when they attempted to send.

I need help with an abusive administer he only an administer because he stole my e-commerce operating system in 2017 by putting malware on to my keyboard port so no key board would type I could not stop him I was originally hacked in 2014 I shut down my system that was unopened at the time for two years until I had gone through 25 devices because the abusive administer put malware onto all my devices and ruined them this has got to stop u just won money I can’t get into my google account because he changed my password and took my phone numbers because of so I can change the password to get into it I have about 25 google accounts for this reason every time something good happens and money is involved he takes my accounts so it don’t happen this isn’t the firsts time he has done this very same thing some one has to stop this criminal He takes Money off my cards and spends my money how much more of this do I have to put up with he is not an administer he is a hacking thief and I demand help

I can receive emails to my (protonmail.com server) email account on Thunderbird. But I cannot send emails. This is the error message. "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Error: no such user. Please check the message and try again."

Already invested time creating some html code for email signature on thunderbird. Wanted to create something prepared for dark modes on IOS. Everything was fine until I detected on IOS (dark mode)some white rectangles outside my email signature code. It´s a problem that I cannot solve because it´s outside my code, and I´m wondering if you are already aware of this issue.

'just added 2nd gmail address to Thunderbird. Suddenly getting verification requests. I go through that process then asked for phone # for verification code only to be told the number already used too many times . Now what?

I changed back to Thunderbird from Windows Mail. When I did Thunderbird picked up my old emails from 2018 and before. How can I get them out of Inbox and Sent Box ? TU.

Last week, sometime, I received ALL the emails, that have come into my "mailbox", from about the time I purchased my latest computer, several years ago. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of the little critters. All arranged alphabetically, starting with the letter "a". So far, the ONLY solution I've found from "Thunderbird Help", is to 1. Open inbox 2. Select [left click] one of the repeated emails. 3. This high lights the email in BLUE. 4. Select BOTH "CONTROL & A" KEYS at the same time. 5. This highlights the WHOLE PRESENT page of emails in BLUE. 6. The instructions then say to press the "DELETE" key. 7. Question is- IF I PRESS THE "DELETE" key, will that just delete the emails on this page, OR delete EVERY email in my entire "inbox"? The only OTHER remedy I've tried, is to send the unwanted emails, ONE at a time, to the "TRASH" folder, then empty the "TRASH" folder, when I get 10-15 emails in it. That could take a VERY long time. i have been away from my pc for 6 weeks and cannot access thunderbird. it repeated states that the login server IMAP.telstra.com failed my email hillsec@bigpond.net.au i have tried changing the in server and outgoing server to match my ipad and iphone which can receive emails. please help me to restore everything in thunderbird.

After installing Thunderbird 115.10.0 (64bit) on a WIN 11 system yesterday program does not close fully. It will not restart unless I use Task Manager to delete what is running or else reboot system.

I have latest Thunderbird version (115.9.0 64bit) on fully patched Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS.

I'm trying to get it to display Day-of-Week for old messages - is this possible? I have tried all sorts of combination as detailed HERE to no avail.

I'd like concise instructions on how to do this (if it can be done). I do not believe trying a new profile will work as I need to test this for old messages - at least for messages older than a week.

From the link above, I can the Day-of-Week to work for the current week - but that only displays the day and time. What I'm after is as shown in the attached Outlook screenshot. Also see the closest I can get that to match in the Thunderbird screenshot.

i just reinstalled my whole pc, win10 64. I exported my profile including all possible data, the .zip was too big to import so i copied it into the profile folder, on my desktop, in another foldet etc. But i always get the error message shown in the picture. This is my only chance to have access to my (partly) old email accounts... that's why i followed all steps, but i cannot import everything. I REALLY need your help and would appreciate it A LOT.

hi all guys ... I'm experiencing several issues with oauth2 authentication, and I never had any issue before February the 2024 ... at the beginning the only account I have was not working was a microsoft account, so I thought it was "because of microsoft restriction"

but now, little by little, all my accounts requiring oauth2 authentication are failing, and I don't know were to check ...

I do NOT have any httpd/apache server running on localhost

I already tried changing things like general.useragent.compatMode.firefox or network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https

I also created another blank profile ... but again ... not way to make it works ...

cookies are permitted ... javascript is enabled ...

the result is always the same ... a blank page when I try to do any oauth2 authentication ...

if I manually copy/paste that link in Firefox/Chrome it perfectly works, so it's not a network connection issue ...

from what I can understand, it seems to be related to the "built-in browser" in thunderbird, that for some reason does not work "as expected" ... If I try to click on any link for example in the settings page

like the "learn more" link of this option Send web sites a “Do Not Track” signal that you don’t want to be tracked "learn more" thunderbird does NOT show anything ...

something is broken, and I can NOT understand what it is ...

is there anyone with some good advices?
