Thank you for your message. In my online account (IMAP), the "missing" folder is still there as usual. However, right-clicking it doesn't lead to the "Subscribe" option.
The folder is present in Outlook Web, but not in Thunderbird. Perhaps a checkbox is simply missing in Thunderbird.

I’ve been troubleshooting the compose‑window font behavior in Thunderbird and discovered something that seems inconsistent from a user‑experience standpoint. After resetting all the font mappings (Proportional, Serif, Sans‑serif, Monospace, Minimum font size, etc.), I noticed that the font used in the message body can never match the font used in the Subject line or the rest of the Thunderbird interface. The Subject line and UI elements use Segoe UI, which is the standard Windows system font. However, Segoe UI does not appear anywhere in Thunderbird’s compose‑font dropdown lists, even though it’s clearly installed and used throughout the rest of the application. This creates a confusing situation: - The interface uses one set of fonts (Windows UI fonts like Segoe UI) - The compose window uses a completely different set (web‑safe/message‑safe fonts like Times New Roman, Arial, Courier New) - The user cannot choose the same font for both areas, even if the font is installed on the system - The dropdown lists in different parts of Thunderbird do not match, even though they appear to be selecting fonts from the same computer From a user perspective, it would make much more sense if all font dropdowns in Thunderbird used the same unified list of system‑available fonts, so the user could choose consistently across the entire app. Right now, the separation between UI fonts and message‑body fonts isn’t obvious, and it leads to confusion when trying to restore defaults or match the appearance of the Subject line. I’m posting this to ask whether this limitation is intentional, a technical constraint, or something that could be improved in future versions. A unified, system‑wide font list would make the experience much clearer and more predictable for users. Thanks for any clarification Steve

Email messages which contains items other than plain text used to cause a button to be displayed that told me there were items other than plain text in the message and asked if I wanted to display them. Suddenly, that option no longer appears on individual messages. I don't know of anything I did to disable that function.

I had at least 10 message filters to sort my inbox into subfolders. Twice in the last 4 or 5 months all but 4 of those filters vanished. The subfolders were all there and contained all the messages previously sent there by the filters. New messages were still in the inbox. I neither deleted nor disabled any filters. I did notice that one of the filters which I had renamed a few weeks ago had reverted to its old name. Having to redo these filters every few months is tedious and unacceptable. Please help.
Why aren't my subfolders in alphabetical order? Is there a way to make this happen?

Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue while trying to print emails to PDF in Thunderbird. Instead of opening the print preview or print dialog, Thunderbird sends the email straight to the default printer. Because of this, I don’t get the option to choose my PDF printer or adjust print settings.
This started after updating to a newer Thunderbird version, and earlier versions did not behave this way. The menu still shows Print…, which normally indicates a preview or settings window, so this feels like unexpected behavior.
Has anyone else faced this issue, or is there a setting or workaround to restore the print preview before printing? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Team My Thunderbird account has a font corruption. Whenever I open a new message, The font appears as a weird shadowy type - See image attached. The signature is saved image. I can't set a Tahoma or Verdana or any from the overall font list as the base font. However, when I send the email, the recipient sees a normal tahoma font. Help!

'Hey Ed .. need your advice again'
Open your TB profile:
- TB menu > Help > Troubleshooting Information
- click the Application Basics > Profile Folder 'Open Folder' button
- close TB and rename the folderCache.json file to folderCache.jsox
Restart TB and the list should be gone. Note this will also remove the list from the R. click > Copy To list.
These are the 3 files in the profile folder. I'm confused ..which file do I rename? TB is closed This file folderCache.jsox .json - create date 01/13/2026 was created when I used above procedure on 1/13/2026...
I already have a folderCache.jsox file ... renaming it leads to file being unusable. '
folderCache.jsox - create date 12/21/2025
folderCache.jsox .json - create date 01/13/2026

I'm having problems getting my signature to appear in Thunderbird as it does in my soon-to-be former email client. I've attached pics of the signature as it should appear and as it appears when imported to Thunderbird. I can edit the HTML code, but I'm not sure how to correct things like the image not importing when the link is correct and how to get rid of the dotted line border that shows up in Thunderbird when it does not appear in my current email client signature. I attempted to attach my HTML file, but cannot. I can post the code, if that would be beneficial. HELP!
Please start with the desktop. Describe every click, where and why? You don't explain how to get to the Classic View Layout.

I can't seem to find the way to set or adjust (vertical) line-spacing in the body of the message. The lines "collapse" on each other. (see the attachment) I have unchecked the "Use paragraph format..." checkbox. Can't adjust it with the small / large "T" controls on the formatting bar; and I haven't found any setting (or combination of settings) to control or adjust this attribute. FWIW, it happens both when I paste-in text and when I type-in the text. Suggestions?

I am on 140.7.1esr (64-bit). My sub-folders under Inbox is not sorted alphabetically. I do not see any option to re-sort at the pop-up menu after I right-click at the account name. Does this mean the version I am on does not have this feature?
