Does anyone know how set the first day of the week for Monday, like everyone does?

This is ridiculous not finding it in the settings tab. Many people ask the same question here and the feature gets buried in every new iterations. I don't know anyone who starts the day on Sunday.

Mozilla, we love you. I've been using you since the mid-90s but these idiosyncrasies are a good reason to switch to Evolution. Can we do away with this none sense?

I'm seeing this on only one of two TBird 115 PCs: on the first, in the message list, when I double-click to read the message, there's a delay of about three seconds before the message header appears, and above the subject, there's an icon and the sender's display name, and also, on a second line, the sender's address.

On the other installation, there's no icon, and the display name and the sender's address are on one line above the subject. I have no idea why the first PC has this two-line-plus-icon layout for the senders of messages. I can't find any settings that will get rid of the icon and the two-line display.

on my windows 11 book3 samsung laptop, I configured Thunderbird and in setting i enabled spell check. But is there any settings avl like "ignore caps word" kind, It is quite annoying that many caps word keep repeating for spell check and taking a lot of time to complete spell check

How can I import the configuration of the Thunderbird app? e.g. customized top panel, inbox sorting and view, reading pane customized toolbar, etc.

I've: 1. uninstalled beta 116 2. installed release 115 3. imported profile from beta to release => customization wasn't imported

Maybe I just need reassurance on this one. I have been forced to open 2 new email accounts - @outlook.com and @gmail.com - because my @waitrose.com has been terminated by @plus.net (my ISP).

I originally - clearly successfully - prefixed the original addresses with 'A and B' (to beat automatic alpha-sorting) and put the one I used at the top for various reasons.

I would like to do the same for the 2 new accounts which may be different in some way, being out-sourced products. Is there any reason why not? Thanks.

Hello, I accidentally checked the box "don't ask me again" when emptying a folder, in this case spam folder. How do I change it back? I have multi email accounts and they all don't ask me anymore. I have the latest version 102.11.1 (64-bit). Just have Thunderbird installed, don't have any add-ons or anything. Not sure what other details are necessary.

This solution doesn't work for Thunderbird 102.11.0 because there is no OTHER WRITING SYSTEMS. I have set LATIN on font and size, composition is set to HTML. Variable width is set, but if I change this to a specific font, it still shows something different than the font I've used to compose, so it doesn't seem to help.

Sent files show Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

Why is it so hard? I want my sent files to look like my composed files as much as possible. For example, if I use a serif font to compose, I want a similar or, if available, identical serif font, for readers if they use HTML as well. Thx in advance.

I have installed Thunderbird in a new computer. Default is Inbox list in the upper half of the screen and the marked email displays in the lower part of the screen. But as I now have a wide screen, I would like to have the list to the left and the displayed email to the right. How do I manage that?

Please suggest how to remove the empty spaces that I marked in the screenshot. Especially confusing is the large wasteland in the left column (Subject). There should be a replied/forwarded arrow, but I know for sure that it takes up 2 times less space than this empty space in the screenshot.

I also see a strange arrow in the column to the left (I think it's Senders).

I have used Thunderbird for many years.

Currently, I am using version 102.12.0 (64 bit) and my OS is KDEneon 5.27

I have multiple email addresses (using IMAP or POP) which are filed under "Local Folders" ("Dossiers locaux" in french)

A) In the "Folders" view, I would like to be able to have one folder per email address.

B) And, similarly, I would like that for:

"Account Settings" -> [e-mail] -> "Copies & Folders" :

1)  "When sending messages, automatically:" -> "Place a copy in:" -> " "Sent" Folder on:"

2) -> "Message Archives" -> "Keep message archives in:" -> " "Archives" Folder on:"

3) -> "Drafts and Templates" -> "Keep draft message archives in:" -> " "Drafts" Folder on:"

4) -> "Drafts and Templates" -> "Keep message templates archives in:" -> " "Templates" Folder on:"

get a folder named after the email address, not in "Local Folders" as is currently the case.

But that's not what I want.

If I have an email address using the POP protocol, I want to keep it in POP, but having its own folder in the "Folders" view

In the same vein, if I have an email address using the IMAP protocol, I want to keep it in IMAP, but having its own folder in the "Folders" view.

Anyway, for my addresses using the POP protocol, I often have many more emails than my supplier agrees to store on his server.

In short, if you have a solution, it will be great.

For the release version of TB 115.0

The quickfilter is broken is a particular manner:

   some characters can be entered in the quickfilter-box.
   other characters (i.e. 'r', 'o'  the reply-shortcut key?) fail to be inserted/loses focus, and instead the reply- or open-message-action is initiated for the selected message.

I have not tested this extensively, but the issue shows up on my Win10 32-bit system

Some of the email I get in Thunderbird are twice the width of the window. If I try to look at or print the email as is it becomes micro-print. Is there an add-on or setting that will put a soft automatic carriage returns in the mail to reduce the width to something that fits the screen and paper.

The image is an almost full screen view of the email and the lowest gray bar shows the percentage of the mail being viewed and the bar is less than 1/2 the width of the window.

Within AWS WorkMail, I've created an email alias that I can use using their web based email client. I can't seem to get this to work on Thunderbird. In Thunderbird, upon sending an email, having the From field set to the email alias, Thunderbird does send the email. But the received email's From field doesn't show the email alias, but the original account email address.

I followed instructions online on using the Account Settings -> Manage identities and setting the alias email address

When writing emails offline, I continually (maybe every minute or two) get the popup "Your draft message was not copied to your drafts folder" and must stop writing to dismiss it. How can I turn this off? Thanks!

How can I show the CC and BCC separate in the message list? I am using the "Recipient" currently which adds up all the To, CC & BCC.

Side question, "Correspondents" column shows exactly same people as the "From" column, so why bother have this column?

I have read everything and tried everything but I am not able to change the font color of the folder pane and thread pane in TB 102.10.1.

I put in the userChome.css for example the following (and tried many more) . The font and everything else changes. But not the font color.
