Some time in the last couple days, one of my 5 folders has marked every inbox message as a "draft message," even messages that have been in there for long awhile. I have checked all help articles relating to this and checked all my settings and prefferences and everything is set as it should be. The screenshot attached shows a message from several months ago that never had this before. Please advise.

Before upgrade to version 91 [using version 91.3.2 (64-bit) on Macbook] I could select several emails and then print out the individual emails for the whole of the selected list. Is it possible to do this in the current version? As soon as I select 2 or more emails, the print command ceases to activate.

My email is a tds account. I am able to send emails through Thunderbird, but I cannot receive emails from tds.net. I have checked/updated my server settings, which read mail.tds.net, port 993, STARTTLS, normal password. (per tds instructions) I have restarted Thunderbird and my computer. I can logon to tds.net (via Firefox) to see my emails; and I can use my iPad to see my tds emails. Thunderbird is not working correctly. This is a recent problem - starting in the last week or so.

Do I need/how do I set a password for outgoing server?

I have several email-accounts that I read via Thunderbird (let's call them a@myweb.se, b@myweb.se and so on). When I last set up a new account (c@myweb.se) and sent the first test message from it, as usual, the following matter came up: TB used my standard outgoing server, and that had the wrong username (a@myweb.se), as usual when I set up a new account.

This time, be it by clumsiness or due to changes in the GUI in the last update, I happened to change the username in my standard outgoing server (to c@myweb.se) and saved. I could then send emails from the new account, but not from my old account that uses the standard outgoing server.

I then added a new outgoing server with username a@myweb.se. Now when I try to send email from a@myweb.se I get the errormessage that the outgoing server denied access and that I should check my username.

I have a funny feeling that it wants my password actually. But I can't for the life of me find anywhere to type it in. I can see that my other three outgoing servers (amongst them the former standard with the changed username) have entries in saved passwords. The newly created outgoing server doesn't. I can't find a way to add an entry manually.

Is it really a passwordmatter, and how do I solve it?

System: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Thunderbird: 78.1.0 64bit version

Description: I used Thunderbird to log in to Google Mail without any problems. But after I changed my Google mailbox password once, I want to use Thunderbird to log in to Google mailbox again. It keeps asking me to enter my Google email address. Every time I clicked on the next step, the email address input field seemed to be emptied. I was still asked to continue to enter the email address without entering the password input or other interface.

First image is before I click the next button, the second image is after i clicked the next button

Got my first smartphone (Android) and now check Gmail with the smartphone AS WELL AS with Thunderbird on my PC. I understand that POP is only suitable for accessing Gmail with one device. So, I understand that I should switch to IMAP for incoming messages. I made the instructed changes to my Gmail settings, but when I go to the Thunderbird settings, there seems to be no way to change the POP3 label in that section of the settings, and I am getting an error message when I try to use Thunderbird (on my PC) to download my messages from Gmail:

An error occurred with the POP3 mail server. Mail server imap.gmail.com responded:

(That is the whole error message -- there is nothing after the colon.)

Thanks for reading and for any suggestions. I like Thunderbird and would like to continue using it.

Before the latest update to Thunderbird, opening PDF attachments would bring them up separately in Adobe Reader, which was no problem at all. I'm not sure why a change was instituted to cause them to open in Thunderbird tabs, but this is seriously inconvenient for me.

When a PDF file opened directly in Adobe Reader, the text can be highlighted and copied. This does not work now when it shows up supposedly as PDF in a Thunderbird tab. I don't know about JPG or other file types--I've yet to have one of those where I can see it they cause trouble as well--but is there some way to turn off having email attachments open in Thunderbird tabs rather than directly in the operative software--PDF by Adobe Reader, for example? I can't figure out how to get such an attachment to open directly in Adobe Reader, but that's where I want it, not as a tab in Thunderbird.

Probably this is easy, but I can't figure out how to do it.

windows 10 had to be reinstalled .. so thunderbird had to be reinstalled too. I retrieved mails from the mail server (only starting from 16 november 08:24 till today). Seen I had taken backup (of profiles located under appdata (both local and roaming maps), I restored them over the newly created thunderbird profiles (to get back all the maps that was created before). But of course it only restores back till, in my case 28 june 2021. So my question how can I get mail from the mail server between 28 june and 16 november (requesting to send mails not deleted on the mail server between those 2 dates). Recent mails between 16 november and today are retrieved from (private) mail server Thanks

In Thunderbird's account settings, I select account actions, then "Add mail account". After entering the requested info for my Gmail account and select "Done", a large Google window pops up saying "One Account - All of Google". At this point, I seem to get stuck in a loop that repeatably asks for my email address or phone number. Apparently it's a verification of my login on Gmail. I cannot get beyond this and when i cancel, I get a yellow message bar in Thunderbird stating I have an incorrect user name and/or password. How can I get this resolved? Thanks for any help you can provide. - D. Puls

Popstate files (popstate-xx.dat) are piling up in my POP account. Each time the "xx" is a different number, i.e 13, 14, 15, etc. I read the suggestion fix to go to Help, Troubleshoot Information, click Open Folder button. I did so. There are two Open Folder buttons (Update Folder & Profile Folder). I picked Profile Folder. Then I closed TB as instructed. Then I clicked Mail folder, and it says to click the Pop mail account which is displaying those popstate folders. At this point I see two : one says "inbound.att.net" and one says :inbound.att-1.net". If I click the "inbound.att.net" there is only one popstate folder. If I click the "inbound.att-1.net" account there are many popstate folders. I think this may be the cause of the multiple popstate folders showing up in TB. I am thinking I could possibly delete the account with the "-1" and keep the account with the single popstate folder. BUT, will this somehow mess up my incoming and outgoing mail? I don't want to mess up. Can someone help me?

For some reason my gmail account password will not work. It has been working but all mail from rickranum@gmail.com stopped getting into Thunderbird on the 28th I thought I might change it but in my tools there is no option button. All the help I have researched leads through the options option. My password is correct as I can log in to my gmail account in a browser. I restarted the computer. I closed and restarted Thunderbird. I also get this error (see images below).
