Hi, Win 10 Pro new installation. Dell Optiplex MBR type Bios.

I had saved a recent profile to an external drive in its own name (i.e. not the profiles folder)

After the new Win 10 installation, I downloaded a new copy of Thunderbird.

I then copied the saved profile into the new Profiles folder, selected it in Choose user profile and started Thunderbird.

Thunderbird opened but not with the saved (8+ Gb) profile, just one new email account and asking for passwords to other email accounts I used before, and no folders.

I went back into the profiles folder and renamed all other profiles "OLDxxx999, but still the same one new email account when I opened Thunderbird.

I desperately need the saved email folders - I don't mind loading all the email accounts again, just need my court case history folders.

How can I force Thunderbird to use the saved profile, or can I identify and individually load in the saved local folders?

Thank you for any guidance towards a solution.

Hi. My new Gmail account cannot be added to Thunderbird.

It is working on the WEB, but I cannot find the area to manually configue the email settings.

Is there anyway I can have someone log onto my computer to set it up.

I am willing to pay for this service.

Two days ago I paid to renew my Thunderbird license, but I still am getting a message that I need to renew my license. Also, when I try to write an outgoing email, Thunderbird freezes up, and I have to shut it down before I can use it again. I also lose whatever message I was writing.

Hi there......I have been attempting to get my TB to work on my thru my hosting web provider but have not been successful. I have used all of the incoming server and outgoing server suggestions and have not been able to receive emails with TB on my desktop. I can send and receive on my iphone but not thru TB. I have also tried manual config but no cigar. I was hoping to call TB support but I see that is not possible, only thru community support. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I guess I will look to see if I get any responses thru my gmail acct which is pfbobbo.

I have both paid and free Protonmail accounts. Can I import all into TBird? Three devices, Win 10 on laptop, Arch Linux on another laptop and Android 16 running GrapheneOS. Thanks

years ago my Verizon.net email account was taken over by AOL. I can access that acct from the AOL web site. I would prefer adding it to my current Thunderbird account. I have tried various configurations, but none succeed. Suggestions appreciated.

TB New V140 has an issue: when adding a new email account the wizard stays in a loop, no information why and no option any more to add the account data manually. No idea why it's necessary to keep users out from a manual setup and let them use a not working apple style wizard....

I copied my profile from old computer, put TB on new computer, copied the profile to overwrite the profile on new computer- all seemed fine but no names, no email copies, no data. I followed the instructions, no what?

10-24-25 In my setup for 'BDR Office' Thunderbird has stopped displaying all my folders. How do I restore proper display. Noted fact, I have named three of my folders with preceding characters '0 -' on the given file name' so to display together in my list. Odd - these three folders are the only ones that display. See Attached. In my TB setup I have 3 emails set up and it is only the 'BDR Office' (for my email [edited from public] @reagancpa.com) that has ceased to display all my folders. Normally it appears similar to the [edited from public] @gmail.com as seen in the attached. On 10-13-25 I followed several Methods provided by Support.mozilla.org with no success. I could really use some help with Mozilla Thunderbird.

I had my official email set up in Thunderbird using a POP3 connection. Before I updated Windows and reinstalled Thunderbird, I backed everything up — all the emails and settings.

Now, after reinstalling Thunderbird, I’m trying to get my old emails and account settings back, but I just can’t seem to make it work. I tried copying my old profile folder over the new one, but nothing shows up properly.

I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or missing a step. Can someone please walk me through how to properly restore a POP3 email backup in Thunderbird? I really need to get my old emails back.

I want to use Thunderbird as my email client on a new laptop. I only want to include my outlook.com account. The automatic setup procedure fails and I don't have a clue how to set up the account manually. The failure message doesn't specify what parameter is causing the failure. Since I can't use my outlook.com account yet, I can be reached on my desktop system at [edited] @cox.net . I hope you can correct this issue for me.

tried to install a second Mailadress. Program did not find the settings at the provider. System is Win11. With Win10 its not a problem. Second Mailadress is stored at provider. Password to the provider is correct. greetings from Germany yours Christian Nellshen

On Windows 11 when I try to set up two accounts for two separate users on the same email server I get an error. When I do the same on Windows 10, it works as expected. Both Windows have the exact same versions of Thunderbird. Why should this be? Can I do something to get it to work? I will provide any additional information requested to get at this.

I didn't know which topic to pick. But recently, my Thunderbird email stopped loading. I worked with my internet provider to help figure this out, but they could not. I don't know what to do. Also, I don't know my PIN.
