I use Thunderbird as a central repository for 5 different email addresses. Recently 1 of them stopped getting Sent messages that were created on Webmail or my Phone. I used to work fine, now it doesn't. This account is the only one I have that is set to POP3; the others are IMAP.

I'd change the settings to be IMAP but don'e see how to do that. And, I don't want to lose any messages and would like to capture the ones that have not been captured.

Any thoughts?

Hello, For some reason, over the past couple of months I have been searching for varied emails and they are missing! At one point, I found that some had been put in an archive folder (that I did NOT set up) and they were recent emails. I removed them from the folder, placed them back in the regular inbox and deleted that folder. When I could not find another very important series of emails today, after searching numerous ways, I looked in the server and missing emails are there. I did look at a number of email threads where other people reported similar problems... but couldn't figure out what applied to my situation and how to fix this. To show a specific example, I attached two images ... the first is my Thunderbird email account that shows one Email only on Feb 18, 2024. The Juno server image shows 7 emails on that same date, four which were important contracts that were sent to me. Can you please help me locate and retrieve these and other missing emails? I've got a Fastmail account, and have set up CardDav according to Fastmail's guide to get set up with Thunderbird.

Once my contacts synced, I was unable to see my contact lists in the Thunderbird contacts sidebar, nor can I add a list (the button is greyed out). Is this a known issue? Is it Fastmail specific, or a CardDav thing?

Hello! I am facing the issue with time zone translations. Here is what I do. First, I create event on web-interface of the google calendar. That account is linked to TB's calendar. This calendar has settings for my timezone as in the first screenshot, that is GMT+3 for Kyiv, Ukraine. It is actually GMT+2 + daylight saving hour in effect. Country is also set to Ukraine. Next, my Windows 11 system is set to set time and timezone automatically, region - Ukraine. It displays UTC+2 Helsinki, Kyiv,... I guess it's Windows settings display quirk, because time is correct and WSL console shows

My TB's calendar is set to have system's timezone as in 3rd screenshot.

Now if I see my event in TB calendar, it is placed one hour later, say 9 am event starts at 10. So reminders also come hour later. Also strange thing is that event properties in TB show correct time like 9:00 till 10:40, but for some strange timezone Europe/Zaporozhye, as in 4th picture.

However, if I set TB's calendar manually to Europe/Kiev (which should be Kyiv, but that's another story), then events are shifted hour up to their right place, 9 am. So this is my issue: when I set calendar forcibly to Kyiv timezone, it does translate it right. When I ask calendar to rely on system's timezone, which indeed is also Kyiv, then I get one hour behind.

When I answer an email TB adds Re: (or Fwd: ) in the subject line which I have laways found annoying. My previous email client allwed me not to have this happen. Is it possible to stop this?

It is possible I have asked this previously, but if so, I cannot find this and have received no replies. My apologies if I have!

I am an e-mail packrat.... I have a pop e-mail but keep years and years worth of old e-mails (inbound and outbound) some with big attachments. My backup for the few e-mail accounts I have within my profile is approx 13 gigs. I've moved machines... and currently running Ventura on my imac.

I have to force-quit all the time to get my e-mail working again. It hangs-up.... sometimes will recover... but then... I type a few words or maybe sentences... and back to HANGING-UP again. Sometimes after a Force-Quit... it will behave for awhile. Other times... it takes 4-5-6 force quits in a row to get the program working again. Been having these issues for months... and have taken out all the add-ons etc.... HELP... pulling my hair out! Thanks

Last week, sometime, I received ALL the emails, that have come into my "mailbox", from about the time I purchased my latest computer, several years ago. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of the little critters. All arranged alphabetically, starting with the letter "a". So far, the ONLY solution I've found from "Thunderbird Help", is to 1. Open inbox 2. Select [left click] one of the repeated emails. 3. This high lights the email in BLUE. 4. Select BOTH "CONTROL & A" KEYS at the same time. 5. This highlights the WHOLE PRESENT page of emails in BLUE. 6. The instructions then say to press the "DELETE" key. 7. Question is- IF I PRESS THE "DELETE" key, will that just delete the emails on this page, OR delete EVERY email in my entire "inbox"? The only OTHER remedy I've tried, is to send the unwanted emails, ONE at a time, to the "TRASH" folder, then empty the "TRASH" folder, when I get 10-15 emails in it. That could take a VERY long time. Thunderbird auto updated to 115.10.1 and now it is behaving strangely.

1. The Message Filter has "Junk" at the bottom of the list of filters and anything that is not sent to a folder gets sent to the Junk folder. Instead all the junk is going to the Inbox.

2. Folders that have new email show up in blue highlighted folder as they should. But if I select those emails and read them, they remain highlighted but without the blue color.

3. Sometimes when I delete an email after reading, it deletes for a moment and then returns to the folder as unread. Multiple attempts to delete fail.

I'm looking to migrate from IMAP Rackspace to Microsoft 365. At the moment, we are setup in Thunderbird but since Rackspace can only handle 25GB of emails and most of my users had to archive their emails locally through Thunderbird. Just checking tool that we can use to migrate the exported archive emails from MSF to PST file so it will be compatible with outlook once the migration is complete, or is there a better option rather than converting them.

Hi folks, I am wondering if there is a way to change the behavior of the pop-up reminder window in Calendar. When I have missed reminders (e.g. a task set for today at 8am and it is now 9am), the task is visible in the reminder window that pops up every time a reminder is active. This is fine. But if there is a past reminder (not resolved), every time I add a new task (or edit a past task) to the calendar, the pop-up reminder window opens and comes to the front. Let me describe the example: I missed (knowingly) a reminder at 8AM. Now, at 9 AM I need to add 3 new tasks to the Calendar. After setting (or copying, editing) each new task, the pop-up reminder window is focused on the front. Can I change this behavior so that the reminder window only pop up when the reminder is due and not in the case a new task is set up or old one edited?

Already invested time creating some html code for email signature on thunderbird. Wanted to create something prepared for dark modes on IOS. Everything was fine until I detected on IOS (dark mode)some white rectangles outside my email signature code. It´s a problem that I cannot solve because it´s outside my code, and I´m wondering if you are already aware of this issue.

'just added 2nd gmail address to Thunderbird. Suddenly getting verification requests. I go through that process then asked for phone # for verification code only to be told the number already used too many times . Now what?

MacOS Sonoma 14.4 seems to have broken a number of apps. AFter updating to Sonoma 14.4 I experienced a great number of crashes with Thunderbird, so I completely uninstalled Thunderbird and removed all traces of plists, Application preferences, everything, reinstalled Thunderbird, and added back the two email accounts I use with it. It now takes up to 30 seconds to start up Thunderbird, after which it happily no longer crashes, but obviously the startup time is unacceptable. I experience the same problem with Typora, and the developers there informed me that they believe the problem is with a Sonoma change that broke WebKit. I don't know if Thunderbird still uses Gecko or if the new version is WebKit. Please let me know if other Sonoma users have reported this problem or if it's just my system.

Junk, Bin, Deleted confusion in email account There is confusion in Settings regarding Junk,Spam, Bin,or Deleted. When setting up Spam checks it refers to Junk folder where I have customarily used Spam folder and or Deleted/ Bin folder options which am now not able to set in the options available. An IMAP mail system is configured on a server running Debian 12. While there are never any problems via webmail, reception and sending work occasionally via Thunderbird 115.9. Even in "Troubleshooting Mode" it doesn't work. The server has good hardware characteristics and there are no applications that can slow it down, nor do I think it is a firewall problem or incorrect parameters otherwise it would never work. The error is related to timeout reaching the server. What can I check to find out where the problem is?

Hello My Thunderbird failed pop access to my Gmail account, at beginning of month. Any try to fix, and even change from pop to imap don't work. I get the windows as shown i images as result. I don't like see oauth/legacy/consent in the URL. - Change setting in Google from pop to imap - Cookie setting updated as forum suggest - JavaScript true as forum suggest

Hello from one of my mails I can`t see the external issues. I gave permission to show all content in the mail, and that was stored in the list permission to show all external content, but still the content is not shown. Can you please help me, and tell me what I can do so I can see all the external issues in the mail.
