hi today thunderbird started showing yahoo popup login and after adding credentials i always get "something went wrong.We could not sign you in. Try again from a different device." Also popup once closed it opens instantly.

i can sign in normally from browser. thunderbird version is 147

is there any fix about this?

I had TB on my desktop for years and finally got it also synced to my phone. Then with a failure with Windows 11 had to wipe clean the desktop and start over. Cannot reinstall TB. I obviously have the correct e-mail and password as I was able to log into Mozilla and submit this question. I believe it is a problem with my user name and what is on my phone setup does not work with my desktop reinstallation.

Bonjour je n'arrive plus à accéder à ma boite mail à l'ouverture il m'est demandé mon mot de passe , je l'ai oublié quand je suis la procédure pour afficher mon mot de passe, il m'est demandé un code confidentiel que je ne connais pas, comment puis je faire? je n'arrive pas à trouver ou le reinitaliser. et lorsque je tente d'accéder à la messagerie j'ai un message suivant: "echec de la connexion à imap.sfr.fr avec cet utilisateur" je n'avais jamais eu de problèmes jusqu'à aujourd'hui Puis je supprimer le compte de messagerie et le recréer ensuite? mes dossiers locaux et archives seront ils conservés ou perdus? I use earthlink.net (28yrs) with Thunderbird. I set up a second account (name123@earthlink.net) which somehow became my primary account. It accesses fine, but my major account (name@earthlink.net) asks for password which I don't know and can't find using tools, account settings etc. This just started and I typically get 50 emails per day and cannot access. I can access X@earthlink.net

I dont understand this new method of sign in message you have sent, im an oldie, not an IT geek, I dont understand & very worried im going to loose access to my e-mail which has inf ormation on that i NEED

I've used Thunderbird for years & have never changed my password. All of a sudden, it will no longer recognize my password. As a consequence, I am no longer receiving email and cannot sign in, even though it just "updated" my version of thunderbird..

I am trying to set up Thunderbird on a new PC (my old PC died following a power outage). Trying to set up a New Account, I enter the email address I normally use. It asks me for a password. I have tried passwords I have just set up for Mozilla, Thunderbird, Virgin (three of them) and even Google. I am sick of seeing ‘Authentication error’ with not help offered. I never set up a password when I started using Thunderbird many years ago. I keep all my password. There is no option when a password is forgotten or for a new one to be set up. If you can’t or won’t assist, can you recommend a different email app. I have spend so long on this! Cheers, Ken Bailey

My email works at first, then after a while it says incorrect password and asks for my password. I enter the correct password (100% correct) and it says wrong password, and it won't work again until I start the computer next time and enter my password. (it works, downloads my email, then after a while it all repeats) Thunderbird. (recent download) Windows 11.

I have been logged out of my gmail account on my iPad but am still logged into my gmail account on thunderbird. I would like to access my password so I can login on iPad or at least transfer my thunderbird account to ipad.

My email mail.com stopped working and ask for a new password. Putting in a new password does not work. It may be related to a T-mobil internet problem that they emailed me that it was fixed. My other emails are working OK. I get this message "Login to server imap.mail.com with username jmaugee@mail.com failed." My email to jmaugee@mail.com does not receive emails that I send from my other email address. John Augustine

When I try retrieving my email from my AOL account (IMAP) using Thunderbird and Windows 11 I get the message "Authentication failure while connecting to server imap.aol.com." This account was working fine for months until the T-bird update. I have several other accounts on T-Bird, including Gmail and others, and they're still working just fine.

I have double-checked all the account settings and tried deleting the AOL account from T-Bird and setting it up again from scratch, but the problem persists.

Dear people at Mozilla Thunderbird Email: Please STOP sending me emails to solicit access to my Google account. I receive enough junk mail without these solicitations; be decent and erase me from your list. I will appreciate that, instead to being irritated with the continuous pop-ups you are sending me.

I receive the following message each time I open Thunderbird but I enter my iCloud Password and still it asks. I hit cancel severals times and it goes awayt and my icloud calendar works so it seems Thunderbird is connected to iCoud?
