When I open the tab tray and realize that I don't know where the tab I'm looking for is, I would like to be able to type some search terms to find it.

This is when I am searching for a tab that I know is open, so I'm not using the new tab workflow.

I like the feature of opening links in private tabs, but I would like to make some exceptions.

Some of the news papers / magazines I subscribe to do not provide native apps, they only offer web sites. I have their web sites saved to my home screen using "Add to Home screen". Because I have "Open links in a private tab" enabled, I have to log in every time, which is getting really annoying.

Things I have tried:

• Removing the site from my home screen and making sure the shortcut was created from a standard tab and not a private tab
• Searching the settings for a way to specify a list of exempted domains

Is there a way to accomplish this that is am missing?

I click on a link in an email from srf.ch. The tab gets opened in Firefox, the redirection to the app works. However, the tab stays active, so when I open Firefox again, the redirection happens again.

Hi! Is there anyone can guide me how can i turn tabbed view display on android tablet? I mean just like edge with tabbed view on android or tabbed view on windows. I can't find that settings, please help me to figure it out. TIA

tabs list jumps to the start when intermittently switching to private mode, which is quite annoying when having lots of tabs

As shown in image, Though the current tab is highlighted, a previous tab has shadow around it.

My setting: 143.0.2 (Build #2016116031), ae41fe4e0410af90d829e92b192065938fcd51e2 GV: 143.0.2-20250922120053 AS: 143.0 OS: Android 15

How to reproduce: Press + button on tab bar, then select any opened tab or enter a new site. The tab that is focused after this will always have shadow around. Then move focus to other tab without clicking + button. The highlight moves but not the shadow. edit: the tab that is focused on firefox launch also have the lingering shadow, untill you press + and select another tab.

I love the feature of always opening tabs in a private window. One thing that was critical to my workflow was being able to convert a private tab to a regular one. In recent version I see that the button to do this is no longer where it used to be.

Does this functionality still exist and I'm just missing where it is now positioned?

How do you disable the "feature" that closes tabs when you swipe over them by accident? It's way to sensitive and ends up closing tabs that I want to be left open all of the time.

The past few months there is a major issue occurring in Firefox for Android. Whenever, I switch apps or i.e. go to the home screen, all tabs I have opened in the browser get reloaded automatically without my input. Furthermore, I searched online about this problem and one user, named Zeyu Zhong, had previously submitted a review on Google Play explaining this issue. Could you examine this based on user feedback and my own attachments in this email?

The open tab feature keeps opening at the wrong times, is unnecessary and redundant. I hate the feature. I want it removed. why this was started is beyond me, its a pain in the butt, and not helpful on any level. I want it removed ASAP.

hey, guys hope someone could understand what I'm trying to talk about.

after update to Firefox nightly 144.o1a, in the tab list, i need to slide over 70% to close one tab. feels like i have to very carefully slide it to make sure i really want to close the tab, and it kind of wasting time.

the past version like 110.a? are not, easily slide to close the tab.

so is there setting in the about: config can change it?

like the picture, it have over than it so the tan can be closed.

So i enabled the browser.tabs.groups.enabled in the about:config (chrome://geckoview/content/config.xhtml) and reset fire fox and the tabs will still not group together nothing I'm on fire fox moble and android.

On the Android Firefox app (version 141.0.3) running on my Samsung Z Flip 7 (SM-F766U1), I have set "Close tabs" to "After one day" but it doesn't seem to ever close any tabs automatically, regardless of how long they have been open. Do I need to do something else to make it work, or is this a bug? I've tried toggling the setting but it takes a full day to find out if any change has worked, so I'm hoping there's just something I've missed.

I'm quite annoyed about the new Android Firefox menu update. It takes up so much more space on the screen for not really adding any extra usability and the New Tab button is entirely gone in spite of there being plenty of space to have included it. Where did it go? I'd really prefer to have it back.
