Hello. I have been using focus for quite a long time. I am a Network engineer, I want you to know this first. I see some missing points for myself. They are as follows: 1. The application is very weak on ad blocking. Many browsers have a built-in ad blocker. But this Firefox focus does not exist. Sad. 2. I use it with a vpn. But the fingerprint (browser language ) looks the same as on many ip address sites. This definitely needs to be improved. For privacy and complete security, this problem should definitely be solved. That's all for now. Have a nice day.

To my horror I was seeing images on webpages, totally ruining my browsing experience. The main reason I use firefox on Android is because it allows me to turn off media. I don't want to see any of that, almost always entirely irrelevant, distraction. Now I'm going to have to use Samsung internet and continually click reader mode. This is NOT about ad blocking, it is not about saving data. It is about drastically improving the browsing experience. Please reinstate blocking of all images and videos.

When Adding a Shortcut to the Android Home Screen, it allows you with a pop-up option to Rename the Shortcut before placing it on your Home Screen.

However, when attempting to Install a Progressive Web App (from compatible Web App web sites), and clicking Install, it does NOT give you the opportunity to Rename the Shortcut.

In contrast, Chrome/Android allows the name change in both cases (non-Web App and Web App sites).

Is this feature in the works on FireFox Android?

Is there a work-around to Rename Shortcuts either before or after placing them on the Home Screen ?

What I want is: 1. History should either not be saved, or alternatively auto-deleted after a certain time (e.g. only keep history of the past hour), or as a last resort get deleted when closing the browser. 2. I want to keep the ability to restore recently closed tabs. I realize this is a bit in conflict to not having a history, but just remembering the last few closed tabs would be enough, or all tabs closed in the last few minutes. 3. When I restart the browser (after pressing "Quit"), I want it to restore my previously open tabs 4. When I restart the browser (after pressing "Quit"), I want to keep cookies and logins (i.e. not get logged out everywhere, and have the cookie dialogues after restarting the browser). 5. Not super important, but ideally I want to keep my saved favicons/website logos in the bookmarks and on the new tab page after a restart.

So basically I just want to way for the history to be empty or automatically pruned, without sanitizing any other data on exit or browsing in a kind of permanent private mode.

I haven't yet found the correct configuration to do this. If there is an extension or about:config option for doing this, please also let me know (I'm happy to switch to Firefox Beta or Fennec F-Droid which have full extension support and expose about:config functionality.)

Thank you in advance!

Good morning everyone. I find managing bookmarks on Firefox for Android extremely difficult. To open a bookmark I have to click on bookmarks, desktop bookmarks, bookmarks bar, favorites bar and choose the bookmark. A very long journey. Furthermore, once I have opened a bookmark and subsequently want to open another one I have to repeat the same very long procedure, Firefox does not resume from the folder where I opened the last bookmark, as happens in other browsers. I don't know if I explained myself. Can it be remedied somehow?

I have been trying to get the Add-on "sponsorblock" on Firefox for Android. However when I check the Add-on page for it, it tells me that I need a more updated version of Firefox. I have checked multiple times, and confirmed that I am already on the newest version and there are no updates for me to get. Is this add-on no longer supported on the Android version of this browser, or is there some other issue?

Can I customize which links are opened externally on FF for android?

At present, it seems that I can only choose to have all links or no links opened by an external app.

Simplest might be to enable the user to configure a list of exceptions, which of the two possibilities is chosen:

A user who chooses to have all links open in apps should be able to specify a list of links which still open in firefox; and one who chooses to have none of them open in apps should be able to specify a set of links which nonetheless open in FF.

Please note that this question/request is identical to one called "Costumize which links opened externally on FF for android?" (Obviously that user meant "customize" and not "costumize.") Unfortunately that question is archived, and I could not just click "me too").

The new on-device translation has been integrated into Firefox starting from version 118. I can't find any information about when (or if) this is coming to the Android (and, while we're at it, iOS) version?

For many in my friends and family circle, this is _the_ feature that keeps them on Chrome.

...Desktop site option setting does not stick! After switching tabs for 5 mins, it changes back to mobile site view & I HAVE TO X out of tab, reopen it, & check desktop site again! You can't just reset the desktop site option on & off either, doesn't work. You MUST X out the tab & start all over. ...It's a real pia! In older versions it always worked, always defaulted even days later! However, NOT in the last few versions, why can't it still currently work now? It should! ...And god for bid you find any real support! And probably won't get it here either. ...."IS" there ANY real, live support around here? A developer email? Anything??? I'd love this issue to be fixed one day, SOON! ...Android +12, Samsung A03 Thank You
