I can't remember when this problem started, but the volume dips down for maybe 1-2 seconds shortly after the start of anything with sound, like YouTube videos and MP3s embedded in a website. On the same phone with Chrome, the problem does not happen.

Has anyone experienced this? I made a screen capture that demonstrates the problem, alternating first with Chrome, then with Firefox (then both again) -- https://youtu.be/GB116jauaX4

Hello,

I'm not able to upload files to certain websites using Firefox on Android.

When selecting a file for the phone's file manager, the file upload simply not starting.

However, Firefox on iOS doesn't have that issue.

Firefox version used is the latest one and it is the one from Google Play.

Tried another browser and it works great.

Hi, this issue has been present for a long time for me, and with many versions of Firefox Nightly for Android.

I'm always using the latest nightly for browsing Youtube only, with a set of specific settings and addons (since we can't use profiles on Android yet)

My problem is I've configured the Homepage to never show anything but a few URLs I chose to pin, you can see my settings and my homepage in the screenshots attached.

Despite the "Recently visited" setting being disabled, sometimes, but not everytime, the last pages I visited are added to the Homepage, after the pinned sites. I have no idea what triggers it or not, if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug.

I've just installed Firefox for Android (v.66.0.5) from Google Play Store onto my Samsung Galaxy S10e (running Android 9). Installed OK and browser works fine, but results will not scroll vertically or horizontally. No similar problem with other apps. Is there a bug or am I missing something ?

When I put a video or an image gallery to full screen, the navigation buttons, clock, and status bar don't hide.

They often appear as though they're going to hide, for a split second, but frustratingly bounce right back into view.

On rare occasions, it seems to be random chance, the status bar, clock, and navigation buttons do hide, but I don't know how to get them to hide every time.

I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that has not helped.

What are the reasons the buttons and clock would not hide in full screen? How would we go about fixing things?

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. The upload photo button does nothing... on this page, on Reddit, Facebook too. I've tried clearing cache. I'm on latest android and firefox 124.2.0. I have standard security enabled and permission is set to "Ask" for camera and storage. How do I make this work again?

A recent update has broken the ability to upload images. I am on a Pixel 7. Firefox has full rights. I tried clearing cache. It is not a particular website. This one for instance, allows the option of uploading images to attach.to my question and it doesn't work. Hoping someone has a fix so I can keep using the browser.

Firefox recently got so much slower than normal. Usually it will take 5-10sec to load a full page .Now it loads very slow that I don't know how much time it takes to fully load the page.please help me with this problem. Thankyou

The Site Notification for Firefox for Android is broken (don't know if it's just me) I have a notification for IGN website but Whenever I click on any site notification I received it always open a " about:blank " page rather than the actual website.

My phone model is ZTE Blade V50 Vita ZTE 8550 Running android 13

Formatted my phone but playing videos still lags and stutters on Firefox browser on my Samsung. Only happens on Firefox, I've tested on Qwant, Duckduckgo and Brave and this problem doesn't occur. What might be the problem and solution?

It's interesting that sometimes the video plays fine until I unmute it. Sometimes the problem goes away after I stop and play or refresh the page. I often have to play the video on a different browser.

So, videos work fine on other browsers so I discart being a phone problem. But on my other phone this problem doesn't happen with firefox.

I've been for several months looking for help/answer/fix for this issue. And I've been with firefox for ever and I don't mind minor bugs and problems but this is starting to be a bit annoying and more and more I feel like I need to move on to a new browser.

Firefox is very dear to me. I use it on my computer all the time for how much more relatively secure it is from other browsers. But Android version is a hellish nightmare. When I open the app, even with no previous tabs on, it will not be responsive for more than 30-45 seconds for seemingly no reason. Same thing when I kill the app and start it again. If it does have open tabs, it will either not be able to fetch their sum number to be displayed on the top right corner until that aforementioned timespan passes, and/or I wont be able to remove/add tabs until again that period of time passes! This is a blocking issue that's been there for well over a year and a half, if not longer!

When opening a website, the url has a padlock with a red line thru it (unsecured), the browser then waits about 5-8 seconds for the red line to disappear (secure )then begins loading the content. It behaves on win 10 and android devices. Upon refreshing Firefox on win 10, it got faster, but reverted. Unchecked wait for secure sites doesn't help.

The battery monitor reports extensive CPU consumption for minimal use, even when only a single tab is open. I uninstalled the app and re installed it after that there is no icon on the app drawer nor in the home screen. I have to open the app every time through play store. I have attempted to fix it myself by uninstalling and re installing to thinking its temporary a glitch but icon stills doesn't appear anywhere. It doesn't even get shown in app drawer search results when i search for Firefox. I have further cleared device cache using builtin cleaner app provided within the device. Also restarted my device nothing worked

1. Open the Firefox for Android application 2. Either browse around first, download something beforehand, or do it right at the start, go to the 'three dot' menu on the top right screen and select the 'Downloads' section. 3. The application will freeze without opening the section and after a while will say 'Firefox not responding' before crashing.

for a recent update or two, when I am watching videos in fullscreen, at least like me, for example, when I entered fullscreen, the video should play horizontally, but after merely half a minute, the screen orientation goes back to vertical mode automatically, which is not happening when I began to use Firefox android months ago. Watching same website on different browsers, only Firefox goes wrong, so I think this should be Firefox's bug.
