I updated and now "Settings" & "Quit" aren't in the ︙menu. They're hidden and I have to swipe up a second time to see them. This interferes with my workflow, as I use "Quit" dozens of times a day and it used to be effortlessly accessible via a single finger flick.

How do disable this hiding of "Setting" and "Quit"? Is there an about:config option I can toggle?

I am using Iceraven-2.23.1 (Build #2016045162), which is based on Firefox for Android and allows all users to use about:config

(If there is no about:config to disable it, let me know the last version before this was changed, and I'll use that instead.)

Since I have been using Firefox Android from S7 Edge to this S23+ it will not follow system settings for dark mode. If I set it to light mode it's always in light mode. if I set it to dark mode it stays in dark mode, no matter what the system setting.

I'm trying to enable javascript on my firefox android mobile device. But when I type the about:config instruction in the address bar, the response firefox gives me is that it can't find that page. Why can't firefox find this page? I need to enable javascript in order to use my trusted Speechify text-to-speech app.

Where did this strange language come from? I synced my laptop to my Android phone and somehow this language started appearing English and another language I can't identify.

I'm trying to set my DNS settings in Firefox Nightly to a custom service. But i am having nothing but problems.

I want to use one of these settings for the secured w/ECS:Malware blocking, DNSSEC Validation, ECS enabled.

My only problem is I'm not sure which format of the address options I should be inputting in the DNS settings in the about:config

P S. Yes I know I can set a custom DNS address in the connections settings of my android device. And it works most of the time. I however want my own settings in the browser itself.

I am using Samsung S23 with the latest One UI and Android 14. Samsung's built-in browser has a neat feature where you can open YouTube or Reddit links in the apps installed on the device instead of viewing them in the mobile version of the website in the browser. I assume that Firefox has the same functionality called "Open links in apps" in the settings, but I tried all the available options and neither YouTube or Reddit links are automatically opened in their respective apps, nor is there a button anywhere to force them to open in the apps. Am I doing or assuming something wrong, or is this a bug?

Hi, my firefox appears to be missing its navigation/toolbar. I only have a single bottom bar for the address bar, home, tab and the three dots. I would like to have the back, forward button, bookmarks to be pinned on the toolbar area. I try to use the Secret Setting but it does not have the option to enable toolbar. I have included two screenshots, the orange circle depicting my current situation. I would like to have something similar to the toolbar (Samsung Internet Browser) in the other screenshot with teal circle.

In about.config i set javascript.enabled false for most browsing, unless i really need to do otherwise (e.g. ecommerce). If i close the app (menu quit), and restart it, javacript.enabled is reset true. This behaviour is not replicated for other settings i may make, e.g. dom.storage.enabled, or permissions.default.image. Being Android i have no root so no possibility of creating a user.js to override Firefox ignoring my settings. This seems to be a bug. Version is Android Nightly version 121.0a1, 2023-11-05.

I have an android phone. A website required me to update Firefox to use the website. I hate updating Firefox. This time I lost the mic on my search bar in Firefox and in any of the browsers I select.

There are three problems, all related, that are frustrating me with Firefox on Android. I have a Samsung Galaxy 24+. I am trying to get Firefox to use a local HTML file that are my bookmarks, but I am stymied at every turn:

1) when I click on the local, Galaxy, HTML file, I get the standard "Open with" pop up, but they only list: Chrome, HTML View, Android's Internet browser, and Samsung Print Services. Why doesn't Firefox show up there? This is important to me. Is Firefox failing to register its browser properly in Galaxy products?

2) The next thing I try to do is to sync bookmarks so that I can use my hundreds of bookmarks (rather than adding them into Firefox one at a time). So, I click on the famous three vertical dots and there is no "Sync" function in that menu, see attached. So I cannot import my bookmarks from my PC's bookmarks.

3) Thirdly, I try to type into the URL field what Chrome uses to access local files, which is for example: "content://media/external/file/1000005061" but Firefox android does not recognize that. When I change it to "file://media/external/file/1000005061" that does not work either.

Can you fix the three issues above? Thanks. Rick. see attached.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. The Chromebook is slow anyway. I have searched the web and settings on the Chromebook and in apps. I cannot find any Startup controls or way of stopping several apps from loading. I use Linux elsewhere and am at least half savvy. it's hair pulling time...

I'm running the latest version of firefox on my redmi note 12 with android 14. When I try to add a website to homepage, I get a pop up to name the shortcut, but when I click add, nothing happens, it just closes the menu, and no shortcut is added to my homepage. It used to work perfectly on my Mi A1 with android 9.

Hi really sorry about this I'm new to Firefox & I don't know how to report a possible bug or if this is even a bug but I opened Firefox this morning & my search bar is now at the bottom of my screen even after closing & reopening it

I had been using firefox as the standard browser for years, but since the DNS-over-HTTPS feature I have had trouble with protecting my family on the web via DNS filtering. Currently the only solution that has worked is to use a different browser (the Spin browser, for whoever is interested). I have Firefox blocked using the Android family link feature (and they can't install new apps without permission). Personally, I would love to move everyone back to Firefox, but I can't find a way to do it safely. Is there a way to effectively disable DNS-over-HTTPS such that it can't be changed (kids are pretty quick at figuring out that they can just go to the settings and figuring out that they can turn the feautre back on). A parental control feature would be ideal, so I can just set the DNS-over-HTTPS to use the family DNS filter in a way they can't turn it off. Does anyone have an helpful solution, or is Firefox dead for family protection?
