I-Firefox ye-Android Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Hi there, Looking at pcapdroid and adguard DNS, Firefox on my android phone is constantly connecting to xxxxx.ingest.sentry.io.

Why does it do this? I get sentry is a crash reporting tool(?) however I have everything diagnostic wise turned off. I don't really mind but not having an option to disable this is a bit strange. Also why does it need to connect so often, even without a crash or error? I have over 50 attempts/connections logged in last 3 hours alone.

I'm not sure why, sometimes the status bar clock and stuff do hide, but I just can't seem to figure out how to get them to hide every time, and they usually don't. I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that isn't noticeably helping. Full screen video is supposed to hide those, right? What are the reasons it wouldn't?

I have firefox for android, and I have ublock origin, which is great.

However, firefox seems to refresh constantly- even if I minimize it than return instantly- it automatically goes into a refresh mode, it refreshes randomly while scrolling- I wish I coudl completely turn this "feature" off across all browsers.

I cannot state how many times I have lost VITAL data from this annoying random refreshing.

It should be an option to completely disable refreshing of ANY kind, rather than forcing it down our throats, and losing time, and data. If I want to see new content I will refresh it myself/ re enable the option. I was hoping this ridiculous "feature" would be phased out when humanity pulled its head out, but apparently- it's gotten even worse, now.

Using Firefox mobile for android and GBoard.

I've selected Firefox as my auto fill service.

A few official apps (at least one banking app, for example) that I've downloaded from the play store that report the following after I unlock and select the correct password:

"Firefox could not verify the authenticity of the application. Do you want to proceed with autofilling the selected credentials."

I can't seem to find any other report of this error so I'm curious what's going on.

I use corporation's websites to find its workers phone numbers. Websites for all regions around the country have the same layout but sometimes frames with names, adress and phone numbers are individualy designed.

I use mobile browser on Galaxy S series smartphones. When I mark phone number it is not recognized by any dialer. When I try the same on other browser i.ex. Brave it recognize it without any problems. No matter how web frame is designed.

I guess this is an issue for Mozilla developers to check out. Personally I dont see any custom settings to change it.

Can high resources eatin' (maybe graphics, IDK) Ads, for Me in the Webside embedded and (sometimes) with 'movie' like movement decorated, automatically get blocked?

My phone runs slow, 'even' with just 1 Tab open and only Firefox Mobile App on the phone active.

Sorry, I can't see the field I type in currently, maybe I writ a bad layout right now, but content matters XD.

For some reason, when I click email links on my new Android, they open in non-private mode, and I have to clear the history when I leave those sites.

Please provide instructions for automatically opening email links in private mode.

I'm having the same issue as previously posted below. I am on a Google pixel 7 pro.

"On youtube mobile site or a reddit video, when I click the bottom right button to fullscreen the video, a message pops up that says 'entering fullscreen mode' (with a firefox logo on the left of the message) and then firefox closes and I'm at my android home page

This seems to happen when I watch videos in a new instance. If I reopen firefox to the video and then try fullscreen again, it goes full screen no problem. So basically it's annoying and happens when I try to watch any video full screen for the first time.

Is this a known bug? Wasn't an issue on my old phone (I just got the galaxy s23). "

How to disbale most visited websites get automatically added in homepage of Firefox android browser ?

I kept shortcuts option enabled to add shortcut manually as per user choice. I don't want browser to add most recently visited websites to get add as shortcuts in tile form in homepage of firebox browser.

Is there any config to disabled for this issue ? Please help

Am I able to pin a podcast app player that is no longer available in the Google play store nor has an email or website? I would like to put it on my homepage as I use it all the time.

Firefox for Android does not follow system theme changes i.e. dark to light.

Discovered on Samsung Galaxy A22, Android 14 and Firefox 124.2.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Configure Android to automatically switch themes. For Samsung Galaxy this is Settings - Dark Mode Settings - Turn on as scheduled
2. Wait until Android toggles theme from dark to light.
3. Notice Firefox has a black border.
4. Go into Application info for Firefox and force stop, then reopen
5. Now notice it doesn't.

I just started using Firefox again this week and I'd like to know if there's any option or add-on for Firefox mobile to have better video playback control like Samsung Internet with (video assistant) or an option to open with an external player, I've looked but can't find any way to have better playback controls. I love Firefox and want to keep using, but this is a huge feature for me.

I made my account and signed in, but now Im stuck on the firefox account and help page, if I exit so I can browse, it logs me out and asks me to sign in again. why can't I browse?

I'm noticing an abnormal battery usage in my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Ive used other Chromium based browsers without issues. Sadly I'll have to stop using it.

I logged into my account on my mobile browser, and was able to see all my passwords and saved data that I had on my computer. I ended up signing by accident and when I logged back in all my passwords and bookmarks where gone. How can I restore them??

My firefox version: 124.2.0 My phone: Xiaomi redmi note 13

The problem: This problem is most prominent when I want to listen to music on youtube while having another app open. I have "video background play fix" add-on. Interestingly, just going to the home screen keeps the song playing, but once I go to any other app (tested with discord, whatsapp and veryfitpro) the song stops playing. Then I go back to the app and it reloads the entire website and the song is at the beginning waiting for me to press play. I've tried different battery optimization strategies in the app's settings and none of them worked. Tried clearing the cache.
