I like the feature of opening links in private tabs, but I would like to make some exceptions.

Some of the news papers / magazines I subscribe to do not provide native apps, they only offer web sites. I have their web sites saved to my home screen using "Add to Home screen". Because I have "Open links in a private tab" enabled, I have to log in every time, which is getting really annoying.

Things I have tried:

• Removing the site from my home screen and making sure the shortcut was created from a standard tab and not a private tab
• Searching the settings for a way to specify a list of exempted domains

Is there a way to accomplish this that is am missing?

I click on a link in an email from srf.ch. The tab gets opened in Firefox, the redirection to the app works. However, the tab stays active, so when I open Firefox again, the redirection happens again.

On the Android Firefox app (version 141.0.3) running on my Samsung Z Flip 7 (SM-F766U1), I have set "Close tabs" to "After one day" but it doesn't seem to ever close any tabs automatically, regardless of how long they have been open. Do I need to do something else to make it work, or is this a bug? I've tried toggling the setting but it takes a full day to find out if any change has worked, so I'm hoping there's just something I've missed.

The open tab feature keeps opening at the wrong times, is unnecessary and redundant. I hate the feature. I want it removed. why this was started is beyond me, its a pain in the butt, and not helpful on any level. I want it removed ASAP.

tabs list jumps to the start when intermittently switching to private mode, which is quite annoying when having lots of tabs

The browser always refreshes the website page by itself, opening the page and switching the browser to the backend or foreground but resting the screen for a while will force the page to refresh, and data that has been entered but not submitted is lost.

At first I thought it was a wrong setting or a problem with the extension. After I reinstalled it, it still occurs, and it happens with all versions (nightly version, iceraven and waterfox as well).

Looking into the information I thought it was the WebSocket live link that would automatically disconnect to save power, and network fluctuations as well. Disconnecting switches to the connection prompt screen, which looks like a refresh. Maybe my guess is wrong.

I currently mitigated this by modifying the "media.aboutwebrtc.auto_refresh.peerconnection_section" function to false to alleviate this, but it still forces the page to refresh.

My device is:Xiaomi 13U, hyperOS2 by android 15

OVER THREE YEARS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DEMANDING THIS. When I tap a link in an app, I want it to open IN FIREFOX. Not some custom tab. Not some special pseudo in-app environment. IN. FIREFOX. EVERY OTHER browser on Android can do this. Don't give me some BS answer about removing Firefox as my default browser, either. That causes it to either open in the app I'm using, or the phone's built-in browser, NEITHER OF WHICH ARE SECURE. If you really care about security, like you're trying to sell us you are, you will fix this yesterday.

How do i stop firefox from opening a new tab everytime i open Firefox? I just want one tab unless i choose to open something in a new tab. Everyday i end up with like 30 tabs and it's slowing my phone down.

Unlike Brave, Vivaldi or Chrome, Firefox will consistently reload pages when switching between apps. Filling up forms is a nightmare! This issue exists at least for the last 9 years and hasn't been solved. I have plenty RAM and Cache can be increased 10 fold, I don't care. Use what is available, just stop reloading my forms!

Even in Beta, Unload.on.low.memory and browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand I had to add manually (they probably do nothing anyway)

Best way I found is to use Firefox in a floating window (apparently there are plenty resources for that) while copy-pasting what I need.

I honestly don't have any other complain about this work of art, but recently I installed Brave and Vivaldi and after some testing I will switch to one of them, I can't take it anymore.

Whenever the app leaves the foreground, even for half a second, or if I switch tabs and then return to the original tab, it refreshes and I lose all the data on it. When I need to copy information to fill out a form, or get a code from a 2fa app, I lose all the the progress. This is driving me crazy and making it almost impossible for me to use Firefox as my main browser. I shouldn't have to restart a whole form because I got a phone call and went to the call screen for a second. Battery optimizations are all disabled.

Looking for support on searching for tabs on Firefox for Android which is similar to the [version] .

I'm having a problem often, after a search, when I navigate to a result. Within a few seconds, there's a slight delay for processing and I will be back on my page of search results. It just seems like this is happening pretty often all of a sudden.

It seems like there's some reason it wasn't done with the previous page, and it's reloading? It could be a Google script gone awry, for all I know.

Maybe this would be a bug report, but I can't rule out a settings change or accidental touch inputs that cause my browsing problems. This aging phone's speed may be giving it difficulty processing touch input. Maybe the digitizer is being weird and interpreting a touch on the back button. Let me know what you think.

just lost several hundred tabs on Firefox mobile right after it updated itself. The most recent tabs show only ten of those tabs, which were all opened and closed today and aren't part of what I need to restore.

How do I get my tabs back? I've seen no 'restore previous session' option. My laptop only shows the few I have open now. What do I do to restore them?
