This recent update in how PDFs are handled is really poor. The responses to the effects of the update seem really arrogant.

No, your PDF viewer is not better than Adobe reader. Even if it was, I want the choice to download directly to my preferred app, even if you think it sucks. I thought Mozilla was all about choice? That's why I thought I donated monthly. I want control over the software I use. It's been a pattern with Mozilla, for example, removing about:config for people who don't want dev builds.

Just like desktop Firefox, I want to choose how to handle files and choose how my software works:

It's seems odd that I'm even explaining this. Please revert this change, it's bad for so many reasons. Please also consider why the culture at Mozilla is giving users less control, not more.

Wrong language somehow. I was checking out the language settings & accidentally checked a box next to a language that I do not know. Immediately, I tried to change it back to English (U.K. version) but was unsuccessful & now I don't know what to do. I can't even guess correctly which one of the settings is the one for languages, because of course it is in a language of which I have no knowledge. Please, if someone can help? That is my most immediate problem - once that is sorted, I will need help restoring the browser with over 250 Collections on it, that just disappeared off my phone the other while I was doing some "housecleaning". I'm using Firefox Nightly and the "suggested logins" bar at the bottom is still there, even after I have already logged in to youtube on the website. Actually, it's still on this tab as well, while I am already logged in to Mozilla.

I noticed that on Brave or any chromium based browser (Android), I would be able to just simple highlight part of an URL and then the whole url would be automatically selected. This behaviour is not possible on Firefox (Android) and I would have to manually select the whole URL myself. Please see here for a clearer picture: demonstration Is there a setting that I can possibly turn on to have the same function as in Brave or chromium browsers?

Hi. I have been having problems with Firefox. I can not open the app for a few hours and when I do I get a grey screen. I also notice that the padlock at the top of the screen has a red line through it.

I check the padlock and it shows the connection is not secure, even on google sometimes. It also takes forever for the page for reload itself and then it becomes secure and only then can I move to a different tab as I can't do that when the connection is unsecure. I also can't reload the page as it doesn't do anything.

When the page finally goes back to normal it only last so long before the page ends up unsecure when I've not visited the app for a while again. This is getting beyond annoying now.

Sometimes things go really bad when this unsecure connection occurs because the whole app will sometimes restart and I'll have lost all my open tabs, which when I check the recent closed tabs area it doesn't show them because they weren't closed manually which is also annoying.

Hope something can be done about these problems. I sometimes get the unsecure connection on the Firefox Nighty but that seems to refresh the tab within a few seconds of my opening the app.

Firefox Nightly 116.0a1 can not be opened on android (pixel 4a) at all. The window appears briefly and then crashes. I tried to uninstall and reinstall, restart the phone, nothing really helped. I can not reset the browser or do something within the app. I suspect it is a bug in the build itself. It started some when yesterday.

When I try to install it from the Mozilla add-ons site the button to "Add to Firefox" is inactive and there is a link to download the file (which Firefox cannot open). The add-on is supposed to be compatible with Firefox for Android version 48 and up. I am using version 114. Previous versions of the add-on could be installed. web-ext lint doesn't show any incompatibilities.

Inbuilt video player is too old. Because it's featureless. ~10s forward or backward on dubble tab, ~2x speed, ~Picture in pictur mode. Those need very much while playing video. Whitch is available on chrome. You should add. I can't type bangla on facebook messenger. You should fix it

How can I do a search for products, or search for anything that includes more than Amazon crap. I'm looking for products to buy that I don't have to buy from amazon. Amazon has their own set of products and they are not trustworthy and I want to buy products that are more trustworthy and do searches far beyond Amazon l or Google propaganda. I want a much larger and vast range of products to pick from. I've used Google, Firefox, Duck Duck Go, start, almost every search engine, all I get is Google repeat crap and Amazon repeat crap, how can I avoid this? It's all I've been getting for the last 3 years and I just have had it. So do I switch from Mozilla Firefox, or do I switch search engines, do I switch browser, what do I do?

Firefox for Android has a bug-like phenomenon that you can't see in other web browsers, Edge, Chrome, Opera, or Firefox for Win and Linux. This phenomenon occurs in Firefox for Android regardless of whether "desktop site" is "on" or "off" (*1).

• 1: Not tested with browsers other than the above. I haven't tried Firefox for iOS either.

The phenomenon is a bug that if you reload in the resize event processing of the window, it will be reloaded permanently until you stop processing or close the browser. A simple code like the one below does this:
