I-Firefox ye-Android Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Every time a youtube video is placed on landscape mode on the firefox app of my android phone it becomes a single blurred image with the audio playing as normal.

Youtube seems to work fine on other browsers and I have tried all basic fixes, like deleting cache/data/reinstalling app etc. Appreciate any help.

Edit. Okay I managed to fix the issue so I'm adding the solution here in case anyone runs into this problem. Apparantly youtube playback decided to enable "ambient mode", a feature I didn't even know existed and seems to not play well with a phones resolution.

Just click the settings gear while the video is playing in landscape (mine is on the top right) and disable the "Ambient mode" feature.

I have been watching YouTube videos on firefox android and have been clicking ful screen and landscape has been fine. Then over night a few days ago, it stopped. When I turn the phone to landscape, the video sound is playing but the video is blank, with no picture. It is fine in normal portrait just not when I click full screen when it was working.

I've cleared the cache and history, I've even unistalled Firefox and reinstalled it twice, once from the play store and once as the apk but to no avail. I have also disabled adons, tried the picture to picture, and autoplay but nothing works.

Any help to rectify and return my viewing would be appreciated.

I ran into an issue with logging into the gamepass app when I had Firefox as my default. The app pulls up a Microsoft login page in a powered by Firefox window. I can get most of the way through but then it endlessly loads and eventually fails. I have this issue with other apps where I have to login with the popup browser window. Using other browsers like chrome have no problem. This is on my Samsung zflip 5. Is this normal for Samsung? I only just switched from a Pixel.

Our team is considering a product for Android GO devices. So we're trying to mount the Firefox app here.

Because Android GO devices are low-end products (= RAM size : 2GB) An app such as Firefox Lite is more suitable than Firefox.

However, I found out that Firefox Lite support has ended. I also found articles mentioning Firefox Focus as a replacement.
