Firefox is still regularly losing my scroll position in various tabs. I haven't killed the app, I've got less than ten tabs open, but still I come back to a long chapter to find I'm in the middle of a part I already read, or all the way at the top of the page. :(

I thought it was broken in all of android-chromebook, but then I noticed I can long-press to collapse groups in Aggregator. but both in firefox itself and the embedded firefox viewer Aggregator uses, long-press and right-click do nooothing... except on the url bar. :/ this means I can't get contextmenus on links or images. sometimes the punchline to a comic is in that contextmenu.

also I can't install the linux version of firefox on this chromebook, because it's cheap junk with a ridiculously small hard drive, so I'm stuck with just android apps (and only a few of them) until I can get a new one.

I also have the touchpad-scroll-selects-text-instead bug, but I got around that by buying a mouse; the scroll *wheel* works.

Firefox Daylight 88.1.2 (Build #2015806939)

After installing Firefox for Android on my OnePlus 6T and configuring FF would be closed in this manner. 1 More > Quit (which doesn't quit but does close all tabs) 2. Click the Android "Menu" icon (square) and then either

   a. Swipe the Firefox app up to close only Firefox
   b. Click Clear All to close all apps.

This worked fine until last week. Now, it doesn't close. (Note: Apparently FF was updated last week on 4/26/2021 so it may be an issue with the current build. Perhaps only effecting the OnePlus 6T.

Eventually FF will close but, the next time it is opened, it starts over.

What has been tried: Powering off and restarting the phone Restarting the phone Force Stopping Firefox Clearing the Firefox cache Delete Browsing Data (currently set to be deleted on quit but that does not work) A MalwareBytes scan found nothing. Nor has any malware ever been detected on any phone of mine. Searched release notes for known bugs (found zero entries) No option for FF Android on Bugzilla (FF iOS was checked but last entry was over three months ago)

Thanks in advance

Firefox Android - Custom Share Intents

I'm sure there's a good reason for Firefox (presumably to do with send to device) on android having its own share approach instead of using the system wide share intents, but I do find it lacking.

A major oversight is a simple "copy link". The only way to copy the link directly without the website title is to activate the URL input and select all, long press, copy. But I often find this awkward.

Any chance "copy link" could be added to the custom share intents?

The other thing I really miss is the old share intent "add to Firefox" that used to be available in the system share intents. If I remember right, this used to allow me to share a link to Firefox which then immediately gave me the option to send to another device, instead of loading the site in Firefox on android and then sending from there

This is a web developer question so sorry if it doesn't belong here but I've tried search everywhere else.

Is it possible to get a devices orientation from magnetic north of firefox mobile? I can get this value for every other major browser, but not FireFox Mobile. - DeviceOrientationEvent.webkitCompassHeading is not supported. - DeviceOrientationEvent.absolute is false so the alpha is not set to north. - GeolocationCoordinates.heading is not useful. - Magnetometer is not supported.

This is for a web based 3D wayfinding mobile page I'm developing for a university to help staff and students navigate campuses, and having the 3D map on the page orientate with the device really helps.
