Inbuilt video player is too old. Because it's featureless. -10s forward or backward on dubble tab, -2x speed, -Picture in pictur mode. Those need very much while playing video: Whitch is available on chrome. You should add. I can't type bangla on facebook messenger. You should fix it

Hi. Around the last few days of July the videos on Youtube started freezing like when they stop playing to load, except it never stops loading and continue the video. When I skip ahead it plays for a few seconds and then stops again. I tried playing videos on other sites, and the same thing happens. The Youtube app works perfectly, and so does the Netflix app and the Chrome app - so I know it's a problem particular to the Firefox app. I removed most of my add-ons to test and it didn't help (the only ones I didn't remove are the uBlock Origin and the Search by Image ones). Also tried uninstalling and installing the app again, but no dice. Any idea how I can fix that?

Trying to upload an "image" to Facebook (I'm fairly sure it doesn't actually matter that it's Facebook) using the latest Firefox nightly build on Android.

When attempting to do so, .jpeg images are allowed - but .png files are greyed out.

Searching online, there's no mention about greyed out images for uploading. Since Facebook does support png images - what is Firefox doing to prevent me from uploading png files, and why?

Not sure what has happened but in the last 2-3 days I am no longer able to long press on an image or video in Firefox mobile browser to bring up options to save, share etc.

Happens on multiple websites including ones that worked previously, can't remember if Firefox updated in the last few days but the issue has only just started.

Have cleared cache, reinstalled, all permissions needed to save images/videos are allowed, but had no effect on this issue.

I'm having a problem with playing videos on websites. When I click the expand to full screen button about half the time the full screen video comes up for half a second and then the window shrinks down to a small square on the bottom right-hand corner of my screen. Sort of like when the youtube app minimizes a video. This window is unclickable and also everything at or below it in android is unclickable while it's there. If I click the window button on android and swipe the firefox app up to close it and restart it, Firefox doesn't even close and I can still hear sound from the video. I have to select on the Firefox app again which will restore the full window and then click the full screen button one more time and it will work. This issue is happening on every website I play video on on the Firefox app and it is extremely irritating. I'm about ready to switch to another app if this can't be solved, but Firefox is the only browser that allows ublock origin so I don't want to do that. Can anyone help?

Hello, I'm a Xiaomi Mi 10 lite and Bose quitecomfort user. When I fast forward the YouTube videos I watch on Firefox, there are annoying crackles coming from the headphones. This does not happen when I watch on Google Chrome. Please advise.

Last week I could light press on the screen and saved pics and vids from Onlyfans. This week I cannot. Did something change with the new version of Firefox that caused this ?

There is a bar now on the side of my phone in landscape mode, it wouldn't be a problem except it is even present during full screen mode for videos. I have tried deleting it and reinstalling it and it still comes up. It's not my phone because this only started happening on here and just started two days ago, before that this was the only browser I used now I have been using other ones to watch videos.

Whenever I enter fullscreen mode, the entire app minimizes itself and starts playing audio in the background. I have to reopen the app and reenter fullscreen in order to actually use fullscreen and it is extremely frustrating. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Just downloaded firefox nightly, tried watching some video but i'm not getting any audio, also tried running some web audio test, no audio either.

I have no audio issues whatsoever in the stable version or in any other apps, only nightly.

I used to be able to long press on a video and then get a pop-up menu with the option to save the video. With the most recent versions that doesn't work anymore. It worked fine inversion 115. Please bring that back!

After connecting a bluetooth headset and using Firefox (115.0a1 (Build #2015950435), 1d9511bcc3 + this version so far) to play online video is obviously lagging, not audio and video is not synchronized, is to play a moment to get stuck in a frame like this. My own troubleshooting revealed a problem with Firefox and the encoding format selected for the headset. Currently 1 the problem is only in bluetooth audio encoder selection acc (lhdc also have the problem but the symptoms are not as serious as aac) and triggered in firefox, other browsers can not be reproduced, test redmi k40 and xiaomi 13p also can not be reproduced. 2 after the screen recording is turned on, the problem is obviously lagging. 2 The problem disappeared after turning on screen recording, the screen recording parameter is 1280x720@60 at 32mbps, and the audio source is recorded in the system. Play the video first and then open the screen recording lag disappeared, first start screen recording after playing the video lag does not appear. And no matter what kind of situation screen recording stops lag recovery.

Hello, since the 2 last updates, i lost the ability to see the menu on side of video playing window. Usually it's the list of episodes i'm watching next to the player. It changed since prior last update i've done. Do you know how to change to previous settings please? It render small screen, full screen exactly the same size more or less. It happens on all sites i'm use to visit. I appreciate your time. Thanks a lot C.F

As per title, if I perform a Google search, and leave the results set to "all", the first results shown are images. If I tap on any of those images, Firefox freezes completely. Sometimes it recovers after about a minute but often it requires a restart.

Firefox doesn't play Youtube videos. When opening Youtube website, the loading progress bar stops at around 80% and the video keeps showing the loading circle when pressing 'play' button.

Seems like only the tabs that have been opened for a while are affected. When opening the same video in the new tab, the issue is gone.

When the app is force stopped and started again, the issue disappears and then appears again after some time.

Installed add-ons: uBlock Origin Privacy Badger Video Background Play Fix

The issue persists when all add-ons are disabled. Can be reproduced when using a mobile network without a VPN connection.

I haven't tried to reproduce the issue with all the add-ons initially disabled.

Specs: Android 13 Pixel 5 with latest version of Firefox installed.

Issue: This problem has existed for months for me.

audio stutters or more so swiftly cuts in and out.

Sometimes the video itself stutters/lags.

Taping the full screen icon puts the app in the background. Upon reopening it, the entire app looks like it's hanging off the side of the screen.

I ve two problems

1) recently i can't play videos on websites, checked i ve most updated app & no adds on & cleared my cache but the problem standstill

2) logging in some applications may require redirection to their site , despite i ve Firefox as my default browser those apps are using chrome instead of Firefox recently

As it says. Maybe a month ago or so the audio stopped working. I know for a fact it used to work because I specifically used ff nightly because it allowed me to play audio in the background.

I changed no settings. Tested on both some video sites I often used to use and also bandcamp. Absolutely no audio. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or need more information.
