I had some cookies turned off, but then turned them all back on so that I could access amazon.com in my browser. However I cannot log into Amazon because it keeps telling me to enable cookies, even though I have enable all cookies in my Firefox Android browser. Ironically, I had to use Chrome to log into Mozilla support in order to post this question, because Mozilla support requires cookies which are turned on, but it does not seem to know. I have turned all the Privacy features off hoping that would work with no luck. How do I fix this?

As mentioned in [1], Firefox "Fennec" has reached "end of support" (Version 68.11.0 is the latest you can get). Its successor is Firefox Daylight (codename "Fenix"). But I can't find a place at Mozillas webservices, where I can download an APK to install Firefox Fenix on my Android mobile device.

Using Google Play is no option to me, since I want to run a privacy friendly mobile device without any Google services. Privacy is my main reason, why I would like to use Firefox on my mobile device.

@Mozilla: Please provide such an APK download location for Firefox Daylight (Fenix), as you did with Firefox Fennec!

There is already a discussion about this topic in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1293461, but this topic is about "Fennec APK download" and is marked as "solved", since a "Fennec APK downloads" had been provided. And there is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1293483, talking about "Fennec nightly APKs".

Using https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/releases to download APKs seems to be a bit unreliable, since not every build has attached APKs.

So I start this new question, in order to find a solution for Firefox Daylight (Fenix) APK downloads.

Thanks you!

I found a great use of css to create a 2001-style slitscan animation: https://codepen.io/PavelLaptev/pen/oxwXEB From my tests, it works:

  • on PC (Windows 7) in Chrome and IE11
  • on iPhones in Safari
  • on iPads in Safari, Firefox and Firefox Focus
  • on androids in Chrome and Samsung Internet.

But in Firefox 80 on PC and Firefox Focus on android, the animation does not move or, when it does, it moves unpredictably for a few seconds then stops. "Can I Use" says "@keyframes is unsupported in scoped stylesheets in Firefox" - https://caniuse.com/?search=%40keyframe -, but the codepen doesn't use a scoped stylesheet. One peculiarity on PC (Windows 7) is that the animation **does** move in Firefox 80 if I scroll the codepen HTML, CSS or JS panels above it. The other peculiarity is that on iOS, Firefox animates it correctly.

After the updating to the last version of Firefox in Android, the browser started to save the downloaded gifs and videos to some different location, so they are not displayed in the phone gallery. With previous versions this was not happening. Due to this issue, it is being harder to share these contents as you have to locate them by manually searching through the file explorer, while before you could just get them easily through the messaging apps. I couldn't find any setting to fix it.

What did you glue sniffing monkeys do to my phone? Firefox for Android automatically updated without my approval/permission and now I can't set a @#$%ing homepage. WTF? Is there any way to revert to the old version? What possible reason can you offer me for eliminating the ability to set a homepage? Also is there any way to disable updates? I used to think that you guys were the best but with this kind of authoritarian BS I envision uninstalling this crap and using another browser. Again, what possible reason can you offer me for these changes? It has to be money, right? It is disgusting

Loading bar gets to a third of the way across then stops. No addons installed.

App will work fine for a little while then grind to a halt. Restarting eventually seems to work but only briefly.

I've had to put this ticket in on chrome because the page wouldn't load.

Same behaviour when browser is embedded in other apps.

I've tried clearing cache/data and reinstalling.

I'm trying to stick with FF as I've used it for many many years and I was hoping this would be fixed in an update but this is ridiculous.

I encountered a webpage that cannot be displayed normally again, from mafengwo.cn, which is a very aggressive Chinese website and always forces users to install their App.

The original page is http://m.mafengwo.cn/...., which keeps letting me download and install their app, so I changed it manually to www.mafengwo.cn/.... and switched firefox to Desktop mode, and it displays as the screenshot below. But this page is displayed correctly in Via browser and Samsung explorer (both based on Chromium? )

I am using Firefox on an Android device with a keyboard attached. I'd like to watch videos on sites like Youtube and use the keyboard for basic controls such as pause and skip forward. This does not work when I use the mobile version of Youtube; all keyboard input is ignored when playing a video.

If I switch to the desktop version of Youtube, the keyboard controls work, but fullscreen zooming is now broken. When I tap the fullscreen icon the site zooms to larger than the phone's screen, rather than fitting in the screen. And I cannot pan or pinch zoom the image, so it is unusable in this state. Why must this be so difficult?

For reference my device has a 1440 by 2880 (18:9) aspect ratio, though I don't know if that matters.

I'm sure there's a Firefox extension somewhere that could fix this, but in your infinite wisdom only 9 handpicked extensions work on Firefox now. (If it was not apparent, your decision-making on that matter is extremely unappreciated.)

Greetings, about week or more ago whenever I would open Firefox two instances would pop up and to fully close Firefox I would have to exit out of both. While it is a rather small inconvenience having to swipe twice to fully quit the app it's slowly becoming more annoying especially when I am going through my open apps and two Firefox browsers get in the way of me finding the app I need or when I am trying to look at something from another open app quickly. Any help would be appreciated. I have a Pixel 3a running Android 11 and Firefox is updated to the most recent version. Also, I do not have any add-ons or pluggins. I have included a screen shot of what it looks like Thank you!

Is there any way to turn off the sound when an download has been completed on Firefox android? Alternatively to disable download notifications altogether. I've already disabled sound notifications in settings/site preferences, but this does not appear to help.

I've no add-ons but uBlock installed, so it's not caused by an add-on that manages downloads.

This is a very annoying bug, and should've just stuck with the previous tile Tab Pages, instead of a list with thumbnail.

How to replicate this bug on Firefox Android 80.1.3?

1. Make sure that viewing the Tab Pages, ensure that it is filled the screen, so you need to scroll up and down. 2. Just create a new tab page from a link, though, DO NOT switch to it immediately. 3. Now go to view Tab Pages.

Result:

1. The new tab page which you opened from a link, but didn't switch, is NOT recognised as the 'First' or 'Newest' tab page. 2. The current tab page you are currently viewing is recognised as the 'First' or 'Newest' tab page. 3. Scrolling Down (because the new tab page is up), IT DOESN'T SCROLL UP, instead, it recognises that I'm closing the Tab Pages.

How to view the first tab page?

1. Scroll up a little to view an older tab page 2. Scroll down.
