I recently migrated from Brave to Firefox and noticed that whenever I try to use the android back button it brings me back to the home screen instead of to the last page I was at. Is there any way to make it just go back a page instead of to the home screen?

We need support added into the firefox mobile addon ecosystem for adding new permissions from and for our addons. Currently my issue is that MAL-Sync cannot add new permissions for the new websites and ones with changed domains which in my case happens to be the latter. I already tried uninstalling the addon and reinstalling it but to no avail. The add permissions button in the addon also does not work because the support for it in Firefox mobile does not exist like it does on the desktop counterpart. I am on Firefox beta currently. On the desktop when clicking the add button a little bubble would pop up asking to add permissions for mal-sync for whatever sites had support added. Please add in this functionality.

Hi, This is more of a feature request than a question. I know, that the nav bar of Android Firefox auto-hides, as soon I scroll on a website. But what about non-scroll sites or fullscreen sites? On those I have a perma-nav-bar, impossible to hide and impossible to use the full screen. I always need to use a different browser specially just for that. Thats super annoiyng.

Is there any chance, to get a solution for that?

Inbuilt video player is too old. Because it's featureless. -10s forward or backward on dubble tab, -2x speed, -Picture in pictur mode. Those need very much while playing video: Whitch is available on chrome. You should add. I can't type bangla on facebook messenger. You should fix it

Hey, I'm just wondering, if the team over at Firefox will be working on rolling out support for the advanced colour picker for Firefox Android. I'm a Nightly user, so I'll be able to beta test it. Usefulness us severely limited with this colour picker.

When the "Google Search Fixer" addon is installed and the "Pull to refresh" gesture is enabled, I am not able to freely scroll up on the search results page. After scrolling animation finishes, if I try to scroll up, the browser thinks that I want to refresh the page, therefore the input is sank.

am using a Chromebook with FireFox. It is a large screen. By default FireFox open site in Mobile display. Is there a FireFox setting to open all sites in Desktop display? Could it be possible to add a setting in FireFox to open all site in Desktop format by default?

Hello, The stable release of Firefox for Android will show a Site Notifications option (I have also seen this described as a "channel") if Show Notifications is turned on in its app settings. Under Site Notifications, the notification from a permitted site can be made silent, sound an alert, and a custom ringtone for it can be selected. This Site Notifications option is NOT showing up in the Firefox Beta for Android version. I have sites listed under Exceptions in the Site Permissions section of the Firefox Beta version browser settings and their notifications are allowed. At this time, no site notifications are being pushed to my Android smartphone in the Firefox Beta version. Please see the attached images for visuals of the app settings for the stable release and beta versions of Firefox for Android. Any suggestions or advice to get this working would be vey much appreciated. Thank you.

If I visit a website that supports OpenSearch, how do I add it as a search engine?

The article Use gestures in Firefox for Android says I can long tap on a Web Address to add a site as a search engine: however on Android 10 this only gives me the standard "Open", "Cut", "Copy", "Paste", "Share", and "Read aloud".

Manage my default search engines in Firefox for Android has a section on adding a search engine, but it is cumbersome (manually adding the URL and "%s" for the query string). Plus it then lacks useful features of the OpenSearch standard, e.g. displaying an icon.

Current version of Firefox is 115.2.0 on Android 8.

Previously, it was possible to configure Firefox to stay in the background while opening tabs from links activated in other apps. Thus, said apps would stay in the foreground until Firefox is called to the front.

If such a configuration is yet possible, how is it achieved?

Hello, chromebook user here. I dont know if i count as android or not but still i have a problem. Just today i switched from chrome to firefox, and i realized i cant customize wallpapers! I have searched up every possible tutorial on here and youtube and on firefox itself. Hopings devs can solve this

i have pinned shortcuts on mac. they do not sync with with my android. i cannot change any shortcuts on mobile. when removing them other ones pop up. is there any way so both of the devices have the same shortcuts

The way Firefox for Android automatically zooms in when the cursor is active in the fields of a draft email in Outlook web - really annoying. In particular I have to close the keyboard and pinch back to 100% before I can delete a draft, because the "delete" option appears (or rather does not appear) below the screen. Not being able to see the beginning and end of the lines I am typing is not helpful either. After looking around, it seems like I should be able to turn off the form helper via about:config, but that is apparently no longer available. Any advice welcome! PS Chrome handles Outlook web without this unhelpful zooming. And Firefox for Android handles Gmail web without such zooming. So it's definitely possible :)
