I used to like Firefox, but the recent change to how tabs work have rendered it all but unusable on IOS for me.
I have lots of tabs open, for lots of reasons. But unlike before, when I open the tab view, I always get transported up to the top, regardless of where I was. This significantly degrades the tabs experience, to the point where I find myself switching to a different browser more and more. But this too is untenable; I find that more and more sites don't work at all in Safari, and I am uncomfortable with sharing more of my online experience with Google. Of course, there are more browsers still, but splitting my browsing across more browsers is distracting and introduces new logistical problems.
Also, used to be I could open a tab and it would pop up next to the current tab, or at least vaguely nearby. Now, since a few weeks back, instead I find that new tabs appear somewhere 2/3 down the list of tabs; I could live with this if it was an occasional annoyance, like it used to be, but now, I am basically always in the wrong place.
Googling for a bit, I understand that tabs on mobile were overhauled a few weeks ago. But unfortunately, this basically wrecked Firefox for me. Can we please get the old behavior back, at least as an option?
Is there a configuration option I need to know about, or a bug report I can sign up to follow?
