From time to time firefox deletes suddenly all my tabs in normal as in private browsing. Also few years ago I could turn off the „close private tabs“ option in setting, but since firefox cleared off everything (again), that option ain‘t available anymore. Someone pls help.

Firefox will close my private browsing tabs after inactive for a couple hours. I do not see any setting section for controlling when Firefox closes or doesn’t close private browsing tabs. Just started happening bout a day or 2 ago.

Sometimes the lock icon in the url bar shows that a connection is insecure (slash through lock) when the connection is secure and using https. I haven’t been able to detect a pattern, but it’s happened enough times that it has become noticeable. I’m curious if there’s a reason behind this, or perhaps I’m misunderstanding how to interpret the lock icon? I’ve attached a screen shot of an example from the VSCode extension marketplace web site where there seems to be a disconnect.

The button in settings/privacy/close tabs automatically has disappeared in firefox for ios v 127. It appears that I no longer have the option to keep my private tabs open which is very inconvenient

I’ve updated to IOS Firefox version 127.0 I lost a good chunk of tabs in the private browsing section after this update removed the ability to leave private browsing tabs open after exiting the app. Scrolling down to the privacy section of the settings for my application showed me that the button/prompt for that setting was removed outright. If this was an intentional decision, it should have been noted in the update/change logs in preview of the IOS app store. I don’t agree personally with this change, but it happened regardless.

When I opened my iPad all tabs saved in private browsing had disappeared. I keep them there not because they are particularly private but for ease of access. A note from Google said that it had changed my settings as they didn’t know if I was over 18. (I’m 75!) and I needed to sign in to Google. I always use Duck Duck Go as my search engine on my desktop and do NOT want to use Google if possible. Can you help. I’m really fed up/ angry about this intrusion. Sorry for explanatory ramble. The behavior of Firefox on my iPad when long-pressing a link and selecting the “Open link in new tab” option is counter to how it should operate. It opens the link in a new background tab. It should open the link in a new tab and bring that tab to the foreground, like it does in the desktop app.

None of the online instructions work. None. Why must it be impossible or so inhumanly difficult to simply disable the annoying and privacy-violating “Firefox suggestions” in the Firefox address bar on the iOS? When will you finally realize and accept that people should be able to use Firefox in social situations without having everyone around see one’s search history? Is this really difficult to understand? It seems that the knuckleheads at Mozilla product development lack even the most basic understanding of the concept of privacy. And yet Mozilla advertises its product with empty promises of privacy.

I am unable to install an extension know as Social Focus in my IOS device even though I have Firefox installed. It just keeps telling me to install Fire Fox, Which I have

I am trying to add ITA Matrix power tool extension. When I click on link I land on page that says ‘you need to install Firefox to use this extension’. Firefox is already installed. How to I activate the extension in Firefox? Thanks Philip

Ok, so first everyone needs to know I love Firefox, I have never donated a cent to Firefox. I think I have burned by FIREFOX MOZILLA HOW? I am not sure, because I am not an expert as all of you, but: I uninstalled Firefox because my iPad kept freezing and does not move on my iPad and all my four phones. While reinstalling Firefox, I see that one of their products called Monitor said my accounts have been compromised about 700+ instances. Then I proceed to find out how my accounts and private data was compromised? Well when I saw the list, you can imagine how long IT IS??? well, I was given a choice do it by paying $8+ a month/yearly and or manual; so what is the question how my addresses got compromised if I only use Firefox, Isn’t Firefox the self appointed SUPER GREAT BROWSER AND ADVOCATE FOR SECURITY AND INTERNET USER RIGHTS AND SO ON? Well again I am not an expert, but what I’m am so FXXXXXG burning stupidity it is that when I attempted to use the service, the FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS OF SECURITY your FUL NAME, YOUR DATE OF BIRTH, YOUR CITY AND STATE. Well, I am sorry today I lost flight on this browser, back to Safari, I guess. LIKE AN STUPID IDIOT I GAVE MY FULL NAME, MY DATE OF BIRTH, MY CITY, MY STATE TO FIREFOX/MOZILLA. NOW FIREFOX MOZILLA HAS ME BY MY BAXXS AND I FELT FOR IT. I am writing to propose an enhancement for your iOS and Android, as well as desktop applications, that would greatly benefit users with visual impairments. It would also benefit anyone who is aware that they are in need of supplementary assistance in the absorption of information and knowledge, such as myself (for context; I am an adult with autism and ADHD). Specifically, I suggest adding an accessibility feature that provides verbal dictation of the text on the phone. This addition would significantly improve the experience for users with limited or no sight or potentially even other types of disabilities.

As a friendly neighborhood computer consultant, I recommend Firefox as the default browser to my friends and family because of its strong commitment to privacy. Additionally, a partnership with DuckDuckGo could further underscore your dedication to user privacy.

Typing about:config in the address bar does not bring up a list of configuration files. All it does is produce a google search list of YouTube and Mozilla help sites. How can I access Firefox configuration files so I can stop websites from refreshing?
