I-Firefox iOS Isithangami Sokwesekwa

For the last 2 days, Firefox mobile for iOS will randomly and without warning close all tabs. These tabs do not appear in the Recently Closed section of the browser history, and that section is now entirely blank.

On Firefox for iOS, I usually have about 14 tabs. A few of them went inactive, so I reopened them from the inactive tabs section. However, later the same day, I open Firefox again and they’re inactive again. I reopen the tabs again. I decided to do a test. I force-quit the app and restarted Firefox, and once again they’re inactive.

This behavior started a few weeks ago and it’s really annoying, and Im not sure how to fix it. I also noticed that a few of the webpages are now constantly asking to accept cookies when Firefox is restarted. I haven’t changed any settings, so I’m not sure why this is happening.

Recently I opened the app to find my 50+ tabs gone. No crash, no update, no shut down. I painstakingly found about 5 of the tabs I’d lost, came back to the app (never closed the app) and discovered those gone. Again. With no explanation. I’m pretty angry about this.

As the subject suggests, I’m trying to figure out how I can recover about 180 tabs I lost while the inactive tabs setting was enabled. I don’t remember Firefox crashing - I just noticed a few days ago that all my inactive tabs were gone and have since been trying to find a way to recover them, with no success.

Which is why I’m here. Is there a way to access Firefox’s iOS files? From my research, I’m thinking it’s possible info on tabs might still be stored somewhere in those files.

My tabs keep crashing and every time I reopen Firefox I have to reclick all tabs, public and private. Last week, I had to delete the app because nothing worked. But since I reinstalled it, I have had to constantly reclick all tabs both public and private at least 5 times a day because it disappears.

I really like what Mozilla tries to do, and atm I'm working on becoming a Firefox user. I'm trying to use services from the big five as little as possible. Especially Meta and Google, but since I'm trying to use Apple services less as well, I'm trying to move from Safari to Firefox. However, the mobile experience has really let me down.

I had been trying the Orion browser for a while, but since it felt a bit unfinished (it's in beta after all), I thought maybe a major browser like Firefox would give me a more polished experience. And while the desktop (MacOS) app is OK, the iPhone and iPad experience is very poor.

Is there anything I can do to improve it?

My main problem is around tabs, and that I can't seem to be able to change the fact that almost every click opens the page in a new tab - BUT NOT ALWAYS. It's really inconsistent. This is also made worse by the fact that Firefox is late to the party when it comes to easy, swipeable, tab switching. On iPad it's made worse by the fact that it doesn't really support trackpads. If you scroll up and down with a trackpad, the menu bar on the top (and all the tabs) are hidden, even if you scroll up again! Are there any options I'm missing?

Can anyone help me make the experience better? Any (at least) semi-happy iOS/iPadOS users out there? This is really poor from Firefox, IMO. And this isn't actually Apple's fault, as this has nothing to do with the restrictions they put browsers on their platforms.

Is it possible to use Firefox to find out when a viewed website was last updated? I know that in another browser, it is but cannot see a way of doing it with Firefox.

Hi @all, Such quite a while, Firefox almost constantly crashing when closing a or better the last open tab. Tried a support hint and deleted cache and everything and after that it worked for a few days and then it coming up again. When it happens, and I restart FF and try a logged in page directly, I.e. Facebook, FF doesn’t recognize my signin. Closing the tab, waiting a moment, restart the page again and everything is fine. Really don’t know when this behavior begun, but it is really annoying. I face this problem on 2 different iPad Pro. The newer one from last year with an M2 processor and an older one with an Axx don’t know which one exactly. What’s the matter with that? Firefox crashed on me. And deleted all the tabs that’s I had up on Firefox. It didsk me if I wanted to restore my tabs and I said yes, but none of them got restored. And I can’t seem to find any recent tabs or anything!

all of my tabs (normal and private) keep closing. they aren't in inactive tabs or synced tabs. i've made sure the app is up to date, i deleted and reinstalled, cleared my cached and nothing has solved this issue.

I updated the app and all my tabs are gone. I don’t have a pc so I exclusively use firefox on my IOS, so I don’t think I can sync it with anything. I really don’t know how any of this works but I had 100+ tabs open and this is very distressing, please let me know if there’s any way to recover them

I have had hundreds of tabs open both on the normal and private side but now when i scroll back to try to access them, they appear blank. For some of them, the title shows, but for others, they are completely blank. I have tried to refresh them but it does not solve the problem, i still cannot see them. I also, cannot hit back / forward to navigate the the previous page for a particular empty tab. This is extremely frustrating because I have things that I need to go back to but now when I do, it is empty. Can you please help to resolve this issue as I really do not want to loose this information that I had on these tabs. I am providing some screenshots to display the issue.

Hello community, I hope someone can help me. I really like using Firefox, also on my iPhone, and have several 100 tabs open on it. However, since the latest update, I can no longer open (almost) any of my tabs, see screenshot. How can I fix this problem? Can I maybe somehow downgrade back to the 110 version of Firefox? Thanks for any help

I'm not sure why a company founded in 1998 still doesn't have a live chat feature and actively try to make already angry customers jump through hoops to get support. Ridiculous.

Yesterday, I had a lot of very important tabs open on Firefox, there was no updates, no crashes, nothing. I simply closed the app and when I wished to resume working later all my tabs were gone. I checked recently deleted or retrieve tabs but nothing. I'm not even upset, I'm sure this was done on purpose to force me to buy Firefox plus or try to get me to spend more of my money. Get it fixed.
