I accidentally deleted my browser history on my computer, but I have it synced to my phone. I unsynced browser history and as of right now my phone still has all of my browser history. Will this stay there or will all the content that initally came from my computer be deleted? I already clicked 'synchrosnise now' after unsyncing my computer, and it hasn't seemed to make a difference.

Furthermore, if i end up syncing my browser history again between the two devices, will all of that history be deleted?

Hello, I have been using Firefox happily for sometime without any issues and getting on to websites quickly.

Then recently, clicked on a link on my phone sent by Firefox to sinc the Iphone and laptop in Firefox together.

This resulted in messing up my desktop (and I lost the very nice colour scheme that I had before) and made getting on to web sites very slow, if not impossible on my Laptop.

I then reloaded firefox to try and resolve but since then I am hounded by Google. I did not have this problem with Google before, and I don't think that I was being forced to use it. However I do now seem to be forced to use Google if I want to search for anything? and Google is asking me to sign into its account?

I don't want to sign into a Google account!

Am I right that I used to be able to search without Google just by keying into the firefox box at the top?

I don't actually know what the setting was before I started on this upgrade and so don't know how to get back to how I was?

Are you able to assist?

My Firefox browser on iOS recently crashed and I lost a bunch of open tabs. For some reason I'm not given the option to restore the session. My best bet is to go through my phone search history to restore the tabs manually. This is feasible since I don't do much browsing on my phone, anyway.

The problem here is when I search my history on my phone, it also shows me my browser history on from my desktop Firefox because of sync. I tried unsyncing and logging off on my phone and searching my history again, but it was still showing me thousands of pages from my desktop search history.

How do I view my search history made only from my phone Firefox?

Firefox Desktop iMac 10.14.6 will not syc to IOS (was on 15 now on 16). Go into Settings- Fire Fox Account (Dean) - Manage Account & Devices. When I do so a screen pops up that says "General Application Error" and asks to enter the confirmation code sent to my email.. Email is correct, and no code is sent.

How do I fix both the Sync problem and the FireFox Account problem on IOS??

I use firefox on a new laptop, when I trying to sync the data, it asks me to create new account. I input my existed firefox account "sofia.jie.meng@gmail.com" , then it let me create a new account. In this new account I cannot get any date saved previously.

Seems like I have two accounts with the same email address "sofia.jie.meng@gmail.com", now I'm not able to sync my data on my new laptop.

My tabs were stuck loading, so I exited and closed Firefox, then reopened the app. When I did, all of my (many -- probably several hundred) tabs were gone. My history is intact, but the "recently closed" option is grayed out. When I checked my account on Firefox for mac, for a moment (while the little sync indicator was spinning) I saw my tabs under "Firefox on iPhone", but then they vanished. Is there any way to roll back to a previous sync state, or get a list of links?

About a month ago I restored the OS of the mobile in which I had many tabs open and synchronized with my Firefox account. For a while I could see them in the desktop application. However, recently I have realized that they no longer appear. My mobile device keeps seeing me as linked. I find it very unpleasant to lose the information I had stored in those tabs. I have noticed that when I go to youtube on my ios/ipados devices, that they do not sync properly to other devices. When I load a video, the tab sync will still show on other devices as the Youtube landing page (not the video title it should show) until after I open another tab and load/refresh a page in the new tab. This was also a problem on Mac firefox but appears to have been fixed with the latest MacOS Firefox update. It is still a problem on iOS/iPadOS even after the latest Firefox update today.

A second concern: when I use reader mode, I prefer having a light background. But when my ipad switches to dark mode (and my firefox browser follows suit, since I have it set to device theme), I notice that anytime I leave the app and come back to it, the background keeps switching back to dark. Sometimes it will switch over in the middle of reading an article. Also, changing the font will similarly revert the background color to the theme color.

I don't know if this is an Apple problem or a Firefox problem, to be perfectly honest. It used to be, if I had a window open on my Macbook air and I looked at my iPhone, the the Firefox browser would appear in the app bar with a little icon on the top right of it indicating it was the window currently open on my desktop. It hasn't been doing this anymore. It still does it between my phone and iPad, but never between my phone and my desktop. I checked and all my devices are still connected and synced to the same account. Why isn't it working and what can I do to get that feature working again between my phone and desktop?

My Firefox passwords do not sync on my iPhone. I have recently switched from Chrome to Firefox, and imported my passwords to a new account from Chrome, though they do not appear on my phone. I have tried clicking "Sync Now" on both my phone and PC to no avail. Is there any way to force the passwords to sync or even import them through a csv file on my phone? Thank you.

I had already downloaded the FF app to my phone (a week ago) but I wasn't able to access Passwords. I tried to sync accounts today. FF (on the phone) asked me to furnish 2 step verification and after I gave it the 6 digit code sent to the email (on my PC) it required getting another Recovery key. Did that change the one I had already just changed on my PC? Is there no way to just get access to the FF passwords on my phone without changing stuff on my PC? I really don't want all my email accounts on the phone (I hate the phone) but the FF browser is the one I like to use when I have to access sites online with tt. I gave up after adding the new Recovery Key to my Phone because the Sync app on my PC said I had been synced (phone & PC) for 27 minutes. The FF app on the phone is asking me again to repeat the steps I just took from square A (enter email address, "Get started Here" etc, etc) and Fire Fox still says I'm syncing now. I'm stuck in a revolving door....like the lady who cries in vain "I've fallen and I can't get up". I seriously doubt anyone will answer this scatterbrained question, it's pretty obvious I don't know what I'm doing but I'm praying some Angel out there will come to my aid. ~_~ Is Christmas not the season to be kinda hopeful?

Neither using the QR code option or the email option work. Both result in a white screen.

By using the iPhone's camera to scan the QR code (instead of using Firefox) I can see that the QR code is point to https://mzl.la/MYCODE. This URL in turn is redirecting to https://app.adjust.com/somecode?campaign=firefox-desktop&adgroup=firefoxview&creative=CODE-123. Opening this URL in Safari gives me a white page with a "Download App" button to download Firefox (which I already have installed).

My Firefox account has the setting "Allow ⁨Firefox Accounts⁩ to send technical and interaction data to ⁨Mozilla⁩." set to off. So probably none of this tracking should occur.

In any case, I went to Firefox settings and turned on "Allow Cross-Website Tracking". I also went to Safari settings and turned off "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking", "Privacy Preserving Ad Measurement" and turned "Content Blockers".

Then I tried syncing again. The result was the same white page as before.

I've tried uninstalling Firefox on iOS and Firefox on Mac and reinstalling them in a different order. But regardless of what I do, the logins that are on my Mac do not sync to my phone. I have about 850 logins on my Mac, and even after I do a manual sync, it still says "No logins found" on my phone. Items like bookmarks and open tabs sync fine.
