I'm on Firefox 127.0 (42448) ios and all my private tabs were closed on update and now whenever I make a private tab it disappears after the app is closed or refreshes. It's kind of behaving like the setting where private tabs are closed automatically but when I looked in the privacy settings of firefox ios it's not there anymore. Does anyone else have this issue? I know theres an existing problem with tabs for firefox but I don't think this is exactly the same because my normal tabs are totally fine.

I’ve updated to IOS Firefox version 127.0 I lost a good chunk of tabs in the private browsing section after this update removed the ability to leave private browsing tabs open after exiting the app. Scrolling down to the privacy section of the settings for my application showed me that the button/prompt for that setting was removed outright. If this was an intentional decision, it should have been noted in the update/change logs in preview of the IOS app store. I don’t agree personally with this change, but it happened regardless.

I usuallg keep a few tabs open in private browsing but now it seems they’re closing automatically when I come back from regular browsing. The settings/privacy/close private tabs doesn’t seem to exist in the setttings any longer. Did it move? Am I missing something? Reopening private tabs again and again sort of may push me out of Firefox on iOS altogether.

The button in settings/privacy/close tabs automatically has disappeared in firefox for ios v 127. It appears that I no longer have the option to keep my private tabs open which is very inconvenient

Firefox for iOS version 127.0 (42448) deletes tabs when app is closed. The option to keep tabs when the apps is closed has been removed from the privacy menu. So how can I configure the app to keep tabs between sessions?

From time to time firefox deletes suddenly all my tabs in normal as in private browsing. Also few years ago I could turn off the „close private tabs“ option in setting, but since firefox cleared off everything (again), that option ain‘t available anymore. Someone pls help.

I’m having a problem very similar to the one described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421173 from last year. Ever since the version 127.0 update from last week, all my private tabs are GONE. My regular tabs, including inactive tabs, are fine but more than 40 private tabs were lost (and I’m pissed because the nature of what those tabs were makes them very difficult to go re-find). Now, anything I open as a private tab vanishes if I leave the app for more than just a moment, even if I left it open to that tab. It makes the private browsing function effectively unusable for anything I’m not gonna just sit down and do in one sitting.

I don’t expect my 40+ lost tabs recovered, it’s a pain but it’ll be fine, but the function issue is NOT fine and needs to be fixed!

When I opened my iPad all tabs saved in private browsing had disappeared. I keep them there not because they are particularly private but for ease of access. A note from Google said that it had changed my settings as they didn’t know if I was over 18. (I’m 75!) and I needed to sign in to Google. I always use Duck Duck Go as my search engine on my desktop and do NOT want to use Google if possible. Can you help. I’m really fed up/ angry about this intrusion. Sorry for explanatory ramble. Your new update has possibly screwed my private tavs opening data because private tabs no longer open when I use the firefox IOS website for my Iphone and it is quite annoying since I had a lot of private tabs open before this incident occurred Can I please get a response on how to fix this annoying problem by the firefox team and when an update will occur to fix it this from this 127.0 New Update of yours please fix the private tabs from closing on my IOS Iphone device it is quite annoying when I fully exit the app or give me an idea how to fix it.

Firefox will close my private browsing tabs after inactive for a couple hours. I do not see any setting section for controlling when Firefox closes or doesn’t close private browsing tabs. Just started happening bout a day or 2 ago.

I updated the iOS app today and it closed all my tabs in private browsing mode and will not keep any open. It also will not default to private browsing anymore even if I open a link from a private window. The help pages list settings that do not exist. Please advise

Why would your team release a version that closes all tabs in private browser mode? Why would you not list this in your release notes? I only browse in Private mode and prefer to leave tabs open there. Please return the feature or give the user the option to close all tabs on exit
