Firefox Focus Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I use the firefox focus ios app (iPhone 7), and since i use it mostly for private mode browsing, i liked the option to lock the app and need touch id to unlock it whenever one left the app while browsing. I also liked that the app used to not require touch id when freshly opening the app, as in when the previous session has been wiped and the session is blank. However after an update, the app would require "unlocking" even when the app is freshly opened. I dislike this and want to change the settings back to before the update or at least have an option to turn touch id off for new sessions.

When I do a search in the recently downloaded Firefox focus, I am still directed to google. Is that how Firefox focus works.? And I thought I would be searching the Internet through Firefox and nothing would be going through Google. The default search engine is still set for Ecosia and there is no option to use Firefox. Did I do something wrong here or is that the way this works?
