I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I've been trying to bring up Firefox off and on for over an hour now, and it won't come up. I was forced to use a different search engine in fact just to post this problem. I recently upgraded to Windows 10, but that has been about 2 weeks or so ago. I even tried installing and reinstalling the program and allowed an upgrade just now. Still no luck. I'm not a "computer person" so I don't know any computer jargon. Can any one help me, or is it a FF problem?

Windows 10, Firefox and Javascript up to date. When in Amazon.com. opening "Daily Deals", there are no images or text. This page shows correctly when using Internet Explorer (Windows 10).

Firefox will not start. It claims to be already running, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I have tried creating a new user profile but when I try to open Firefox now, the "choose user profile" menu pops up. I have tried the new profile and they old one, and both give the same error message. "Firefox cannot use the profile "Default User" because it is in use. To continue, close the running instance of Firefox or choose a different profile."

There is an entry for firefox.exe in the "details" menu of my task manager, and nowhere else. When I try to end that task, I get the following error: "the operation could not be completed - Access is denied."

Due to some troubleshooting research, I've tried deleting the parent.lock file from my profile folder, but I get this error- "the action can't be completed because the file is open in Firefox."

I tried transferring my bookmarks and preferences from Firefox to Chrome, but I got a similar error suggesting that Firefox was already open and I would have to close it first.

I have also turned off my computer and uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox multiple times.

I'd really rather not lose all of my Firefox bookmarks, add-ons, and preferences. I also prefer using Firefox to Chrome, so if anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it. I don't know what else to try.

My PC runs Windows 10, by the way.

okay so after I updated firefox with my windows 10 update, everything was fine. but lately I have had issues with certain websites not loading. so after I refreshed firefox to its default settings, uninstalled and re-installed nothing works properly in firefox. ever since I did the refresh its making me mad that nothing is loading. I attached a photo of what my web pages look like. I tried to go to help but everything is messed up on the pages. can anyone help me with this??

For some reason the website 'Tumblr' (http://tumblr.com) won't display correctly in Firefox no matter what I do. It displays as it should in other browsers and other computers with Firefox.

Here is what I've tried: - Followed all steps on Mozilla's troubleshooting page -Deleted browsing history/cleared cache -Removed all add-ons -Disabled plug-ins -Opened in safe mode -Deleted and reinstalled the program -Disabled hardware acceleration -Updated Windows

Nothing seems to fix the issue.

We use an application that only is compatible with IE. when we use ietab2 for firefox to open our application, every thing is ok but in windows 7, 64 bit some pages was not open and this error was ecoured:

my firefox browser does not load properly. i have updated browser and followed trouble shooting steps to reinstall again . The trouble first started with Yahoo not loadiing and not showing images and email not loading properly. When i try to open addon pages or any other pages in firefox help they do not load properly .Also i cannot install any add ons for example print edit. I have checked that javascript is enabled and it shows it is enabled as true. I have included screen shots of this problem.

I'm having problems loading Youtube in Firefox, both the subscription page and any individual video will freeze for a few seconds whilst everything is loaded in and I won't be able to scroll or change tab, CPU core max out, fan sometimes comes on. There's basically no delay browsing it in Chrome.

Attached a "Performance snapshot" of the page loading and it seems to stick in 3 places performing "Graphics/paint". These phases seem negligible browsing a page with equivalent number of images (eg. BBC news site).

So I'm wondering if it's due to the website just having an overly complex layout, is a known problem, or if there is something I can do to reduce the load?

Latest version of Firefox , always keep up to date .Windows 8.1 running on del optiplex 620 , 2gb ram , 80 gb disk partitioned with Win10 on the other .Running free Panda av and malwarebytes free . Never had any problems with Win 8.1 until now , I have gone back to it because of the many problems with Win 10 . Have checked event viewer , nothing , have checked for crash report , nothing . No malware reported . Every time the only solution is to stop Fox with task manager and then restart when Fox goes back to where it was .

Windows 10 and Firefox were running well on my (old) windows 10 Compaq pc. After uninstalling eset nod32 and installing Sophos it ceases to really start up. In task manager I see Firefox somewhere down below, but it does not complete the startup so I do not see the browser opening. Killing the Firefox instance, reinstalling and restarting it without any add-ons (they were https everywhere, bluehell firewall, CSfire, Click&clean , Privacy Badger) does not do the trick  :-(

Can you help (other than unistalling sophos...) ?

Today something wear happened, I was in Facebook when firefox freeze then y close it and open again, but when it open everything was pixeled or deformed! I already uninstall it 2 times but nothing change. =(

When I open Firefox,it works fine but after a while,sometimes less,sometimes after few hours or so,it gets stuck with "connecting.."and it won't open a webspage. To make it work again,i have to restart the pc or just wait for 30 mins or sometimes more! Edge browser works absolutely fine.It doesn't give me any error message at all! as In the image you can see,it's been at least 30 minutes that nothing is happening!

Yesterday I added Kaspersky antivirus. Now I can't start Firefox or Chrome. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge. I uninstalled Firefox and fresh installed. I disabled Kaspersky and tried to start Firefox. I am running Windows 10 on a new Asus laptop. My daughter has a new laptop running Windows 10 and Kaspersky and she's not having a problem. I can't click on the "Automatically add" link because I'm in Edge. I can't start Firefox.

I've upgraded my 64-bit Windows 7 Pro installation to Windows 10, taking the opportunity (at the same time) to install an SSD and re-installing everything from scratch. I have tried (several times) to re-install Firefox, and whilst it appears to install OK, if I click on the Firefox icon to start it I get an error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe. You may not have permission to access this file."

I have tried running it with the Windows 10 Firewall both turned off and on - but this didn't make any difference. (My primary Firewall is Kaspersky Total Security.) Edge, Internet Explorer & Opera browsers work OK, but Google Chrome doesn't work either. Is there a clue to the problem here? I hope someone can solve it for me as I prefer to use Firefox over Opera. I just upgraded my mom's PC to Windows 10. Everything went well but after the upgrade only Windows Apps such as Edge can access the Internet, nor Chrome, Firefox or Avast can access the Internet.

I've of course checked Windows firewall, but everythings looks fine.

Please, help me - what shall I do?

I keep having crashes in Firefox. It says my Adobe Flash plugin has crashed every time I try to so anything like play a game. I've deleted Firefox and Flash player many times but nothing worked. It started about 2 weeks ago and I can't fix it. I run Windows 10 and the computer is only about 7 months old. I am at a loss, please help!

I updates my pc to windows 10.now firefox do not load any site,when I enter anadress it do nothing,chrome is also not working,only Microsoft edge working ,I reinstall firefox butt no change,

I am running Windows 10, and have recently started experiencing trouble with Firefox. After trying a lot of other solutions from the support forums (including creating a new Firefox profile), I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox from a fresh download. I experience the same trouble: very shortly after starting Firefox, I hear constant disk activity, and Firefox becomes unresponsive. My only choice at that point is to end the program using the red "X" (program close button). As soon as I do this the disk activity ends and the computer runs normally.

I cannot include troubleshooting information with this post because I can't keep Firefox running long enough.

The same performance issues happen with Firefox running in Safe mode. I had to resort to Microsoft Edge to post this question.

Any troubleshooting assistance would be greatly appreciated.
