Under the Applications section of the General 'Tab' of settings I have the option 'Ask whether to open or save' selected. However when I am on a web page click on a downloadable/openable file(which has a app association) - Firefox doesn't ask me whether to save or open - It does both automatically.

I'm using Win 8.1 FF 115.13

As Firefox no longer supports windows 8, I have downloaded and installed Firefox ESR 64-bit. I can open my banking site but the site does not show a log in button. I had no trouble with this site last week. I can access my log in details on my mobile. Can this be fixed

Hi Why is it everytime I download something it has to open in the Firefox browser to view? And why is this happening when I scan to my computer? I want things saved to my computer, like documents and scanned information?

The Settings Selection "Always ask me where to save [downloaded] files." has no effect. FF will automatically save the file into whatever folder I selected. (As it happens, that is \MyReceivedFiles.) This means I have to download again to the correct directory/folder and give it a new name. Because there is no "Save As" option. I do not have this problem in Edge browser. This exact same problem was posted at "Downloads default to download folder and never ask where to save them. " https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1412632 But it was archived without being solved. Please solve the problem. P.S. SUPPORT FORUMS: STOP ARCHIVING THREADS OR CLOSING THEM. G'day Folks,

I have an issue whereas Firefox 113.0.2 does not display website correctly using Win 8.1e or Win 10 Pro. Firefox 113.0.2 does not display website correctly The site has a Date and Time line with a colour line underneath it, "The current AU EST Date and Time in Tanilba Bay Australia is - June 1st, 2023 2:34:07 PM" "PC-Bug Fixer draws the line" that refuses to show centred.

Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Bing, etc. all show these items correctly, i.e. centred under the headers above it, but not Firefox 113.0.2.

I have deleted all the History, cache(s), etc., but reloading still fails to show these items as being centred.

Any Ideas please on what I have forgotten to do to fix this anomaly please?

i have account on hibid nc and you login with a email address and a password but on firefox even though the password is correct it says the password is incorrect but on chrome and edge it lets me login with the password and email. firefox will absolutely not let me login even though everything is the same. plus firefox will not let login into my bank account but chrome and edge will.

Hello, I am still using windows 8.1 64bit & refuse windows 10, due to high risk privacy, yes predictable hollow words are said, BUT is Microsoft, a greedy un-scrupled money making, money hungry corporate entity, wants us to willing give it our private details voluntarily or under thin layer of extortion.

Hence my sticking to windows 8.1 as I have certain control, mainly updates.

Will Mozilla browsers be specifically supporting older operating systems like windows 8.1 into the coming years, not just months, e.g. until January 2023

Yes is a blunt question, but is eluded against in other responses, maybe is Microsoft buy out to sacrifice mozilla loyal users or similar, same query is for Brave browser. Mozilla I think is last Bastian for decency & morality, a leader in justice & honour.
