Why I cannot change these settings:

• Use custom settings for history
• Firefox will remember your browsing, download, form, and search history.
• Always use private browsing mode

I need this setting:

• Never remember history

Or, maybe, that is the same?

I set up 4ows of shortcuts on the home page. Almost ever shortcut had an icon. Now all of the icons are gone except for youtube, ebay and amazon. Not sure what happened to the rest of the icons. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have the Bing search bar set for my home page on my Firefox Browser. I have had this setup for years with no problems until a couple of months ago. When I do searches for things and then try clicking on the "Clickable" links, I always get a blank page and the string for the website address(s) always begin with something similar to this; "https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p="; please see image attached. This happens rather I try opening one or many sites/pages for comparison. Below are the steps I have tried & the reasons I believe that the "clickable" links are the problem.

I type in the Bing bar my search topic. Bing will give me a bunch of links related to my search. If I find the one I want or several I want to check out, I'll click on the 'clickable' link(s) for the page(s). Bing will automatically open the link(s) in a new tab(s). *I do have my browser set to stay on the page that I am currently working on*. But even if I go to those pages right away, I still always get a blank page.

I'll use searching for 'IRS help' for my search example: I have tried several ways to get the links to open & they are as follows:

1) Type in the site address myself in the new Tab and use my keyboards 'Enter' key to go to it: -- This works of course -- But seeing as some address are very long this is not always helpful

2) Click on the 'Clickable' link for IRS's site: -- Bing will open a new tab itself, but will show a blank page with the link issue listed above when I go to it -- Doesn't work, Blank Page

3) Highlight the 'Clickable' link, right click it and select 'Open link in new tab' option: -- Again Bing opens the new tab, Blank page and link issue -- Even selected to open it in a new window and I get the same thing

4) Highlight/copy the 'Clickable' link, I open a new tab myself, then I right click to 'Paste' link and hit enter: -- Doesn't work, blank page

5) Highlight/copy the 'Clickable' link, I open a new tab myself, then I right click to 'Paste & Go" link: -- Doesn't work, blank page

6) I copy the 'Non-clickable' written out address(i.e. IRS.gov/help for example), Paste it in a new tab that I open and the choose one of these options: -- "Paste & Go' or 'Paste' and use my keyboards 'Enter' key. -- Both work, no problem -- But when your in a rush, this too can be time consuming.

Please advise. Is there something I am missing or may have done wrong? I have had Firefox and Bing for a very long time like I said and I truly hate having to use the other browsers, etc. but I need to be able to get things done in a crunch some days and so this is driving me crazy.

I recently added the Firefox Private Browsing feature and I believe I made a mistake. Since then my computer often slows to a crawl and I have to restart it to get it to function normally. I wish to delete the Firefox Private Browsing feature to end any burden it may be on my computer. I do mean delete and not disable.

How can I remove the Firefox Private Browsing feature?

Unable to log in to Quora from GMail notifications on Firefox. While I can log in directly to Quora from Firefox, when I click on notification received on G Mail, I inevitably get the message, "something went wrong. Try again later" I need to get to Quora directly from G Mail. Please help.

Not exactly sure why but the browser is no longer working for my banking. I first noticed it a week ago when I tried to log in and then ended up calling the bank tech support. They told me to use google chrome instead. I have been using Firefox for years and never had a problem. After researching for latest update changes, I tried changing the settings to allow cookies for the session for the bank but this did not work either. Any idea why this is happening? Thank you. Dear Sir/Madam Hi I live in Iran and I use the lovely FireFox browser for many years I have got in the trouble with Logins and Passwords on my browser. Last day, when I was working with my laptop while the Firefox browser, the Acrobat Reader DC and a text document were on the background suddenly I had to restart my laptop. after that, when I wanted to use the FireFox, I found out that all of the saved logins got lost and now there is no saved logins on my browser. I logged in my FireFox account again to recover the lost information, but unfortunately that was useless.

I have many important saved logins and passwords on my browser. Is there any solution? I need your help to solve this issue.

why can't "enchanted tracking protection" be disable in about:config. I changed it to FALSE DOES NOT WORK??? I'm 68, I can't keep turning it off to type in passwords. I pay my bills online. I have pay Malwarebytes for protection. It should be optional, not shoved on us. Jazz

Windows 11 keeps trying to change my browser from FF to their Edge spyware/virus (it asks EVERY time I start FF). I managed to get it stopped once - difficult and time-consuming, but the next Windows update re-installed it. I have used FF for 15 - 20 years and it works superbly for my needs and nothing from MS ever seems to work.

How can I stop this?

This problem just started today. I am very angry. what is going on with Firefox? Websites are filled to the brim with annoying ad's. and you tube videos are constantly interrupted with ad's!!!!! What is with all the ad's? This problem has not existed until today. Please STOP this! And, No, I can not just wait a few seconds then click on "skip ads" because I am looking at videos on a computer screen while sitting away from the computer in a chair so constantly having to get up, walk to the computer, click on "skip ads", walk back to my chair is an annoyance! Just stop with all the ads!

So, back in the days when I installed Firefox, it would automatically pin it to the taskbar. When I opened Firefox, the newly-opened Firefox window appeared separated from the pinned icon in the taskbar. I liked this because it allowed me to open new windows faster. Now, I had to uninstall and re-install Firefox (the last version as of today) because of some problem. Now, this separation no longer occurs. If I open Firefox, the opened window and the pinned icon in the taskbar become the same thing. How can I fix this?

I am using Windows 8 Pro btw.
