I changed my laptop and install Firefox browser on the new one but all my bookmarks are gone. I thought bookmarks automatically sync with Firefox account, like it work in another browser. But as I understand it doesn't work in this way in Firefox and I need to create a JSON file to restore my bookmarks, what is a total bullshit. what is a purpose to have a Firefox account if I cannot sync my data between different devices?

Up to 10 minutes ago I was able to access my own website and my own blog. Now all of a sudden I get told that there is a problem and it is a security issue blah. This is obviously nonsense as I have three other browser and they can all reach my own website and my website sever (dashboard) which is with a reputable company that scans my website regularly and has all the correct certificates etc. It is very annoying because up to 10 minutes ago I was using it no problem. I cleared the cache and reloaded. Same problem.

The problem is YOUR BROWSER. I had this once before with a bank and with a govt website. Suddenly they stopped loading. I had to switch to different browsers for particular sites. Months later after your updates they work again.

Please fix your problems. You should do better. Firefox is starting to fall behind. Too many errors.

Firefox stopped opening Amazon, Youtube and others. This started after the last update of windows and Firefox. I have spent the last 2 days trying to find answers on the help page but nothing seems to work.

I have been trying for a while now to set up a proxy on my own and have Firefox connect to it. Since there are a few options on how this can be accomplished in theory, the only way I way able to get it working was by using an Http Proxy. I looked at the connections Firefox is initiating towards the proxy using Wireshark. I was shocked to say the least. When trying to use an HTTPS Proxy, Firefox doesn't encrypt the connection to the proxy at all. So the domain I'm trying to connect to and the Credentials I use to log into the proxy are visible in cleartext. That is an absolute No-Go! Is there a way I can configure Firefox to encrypt the connection between itself and the proxy? If not, are there any plans on implementing this kind of functionality?

I thought that the "Improve Youtube extension" was the reason. I contacted the developer and said:

Its misunderstanding of the feature :( afaik as is today Improve Youtube will use the subtitle language to switch on CC if its provided in this language by video author, it doesnt switch auto-translate. Ill look into making it enable auto-translate if requested CC is missing.

Today I noticed that all videos have Arabic CC ..... Mmm, the feature has returned to work again! without any interference from me In order... to make sure the reason...... I disable all my FireFox extensions, and it is surprising that the automatic translation is still working and I recorded a video to see for yourself how to work directly once you enter the video

In your opinion, what is the explanation for that?

I know that YouTube has options for displaying / enable auto-translate always ... but it is only for the English language .... I am talking about the translation of the Arabic language in all videos Sooooo A feature from YouTube itself or what? And if it was, why did it stop in the past four months, and now it has returned to work?

Starting a couple of months ago, images do not load in emails sent by Constant Contact despite the domain of the sender being in Outlook safe sender list. This does not happen in Edge or Chrome or Safari. Interestingly, adding a new domain to the safe sender list will result in Firefox very briefly displaying images then refreshing with them removed.

Just curious, how is it that Firefox does NOT reace to the windows 10 display manager? All other app windows do what they're supposed to do whtn you use the "taskbar + right click" function to cascade windows, show windows stacked, and/or show windows side-by-side.

However, Firefox does minimize with windows + D (show desktop/show windows).

NB: Not critical. Just convenient when I have too many apps [10-12] running at the same time.

I tried to change the download folder for Firefox inside "settings", and Firefox showed that the change did take, even after opening and closing the program again, but trying to download a file leaves me in the old folder again, as if Firefox didn't take what it showed it took. Also, Firefox keeps crashing when I try to download to the downloads folder. Not sure why. Clearing a few items lets me download again, but then, it will crash if I dare keep going. Is there a limit to how much can be in the downloads folder aside from the C drive itself? My C drive is showing 84GB free, in the blue, not red, so what gives?

For Windows version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 If using Firefox Version 113.0.1 (64-bit) in Windows 10 and in the following state:

 Firefox is open and window is maximized.
 Firefox Full Screen is toggled OFF.
 Windows taskbar setting "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" is toggled ON.

Then the Windows taskbar will not display when the cursor is place at the bottom of the monitor screen. If the Windows taskbar setting "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" is toggled OFF. Then the Windows taskbar will also not display. Changing the ON/OFF state of any other Windows taskbar display setting in any combination does not fix the failure.

After updating firefox to 112 it now starts with ugly white ui dummy before actually loading proper UI. Screenshot attached. It was not happening on firefox 111.0.1. It happens every time I launch firefox 112. Of course nothing in changelog is said about changing performance or UI so I have no idea what is causing this.

Since the task limit option seems to have been obliterated? I believe the many more "programs" and the events they create for windows to handle is causing all sorts of virtual memory problems. Changing win10 advanced system settings from performance for programs to background services seems to have restored Firefox performance in my case, see: 10 advanced system settings win10 advanced system settings performance programs vs background services Is there an about:config option that would allow one to achieve the same "programs" limiting option as before? This laptop has 16 gig of memory and I used to successfully have even better Firefox performance with windows virtual memory turned off, but eventually I would get crashes. I can understand why Firefox was modified in a way to better localize the source of crashes, but in my case it has degraded performance. Thanks Mozilla for a great product I have valued for years!!!!

This is a weird issue that's been plaguing me for years. Only recently have I spotted the common factor.

On two Windows 10 computers, sometimes when I copy/paste a link in Firefox, my keyboard input language switches from Canadian Multilingual Standard to US English. On my desktop, I don't even have US English installed as an input method, yet it still switches to it. I've even made registry changes to specifically remove it, to no avail. Disabling the option to switch languages via keyboard shortcut also makes no difference.

This seems to happen completely randomly. I'll ctrl+c/ctrl+v a link and the language will change. Putting it back to CMD and ctrl+c/ctrl+v again and it won't change. The change only happens when I copy/paste a link from Firefox. Maybe one out of every 15-20 times on the large scale, but sometimes it will happen twice in a row, or not at all for a week.

Does anyone have any insight on this issue, or how I can fix it permanently? It's such a weird issue and it's infrequent enough, but every time it happens it feels like tripping in a full sprint. Very unpleasant.

Currently running 113.0.1 (64-bit), but again, this has been plaguing me for years. I first thought it was a Windows install issue, but it's happening on two different systems. Thanks in advance

This isn't normal. There is nowhere to click to enable cookies. I can log in using Microsoft Edge. Something has gone wrong in the last few days. I have used this site with Firefox for years without a problem.

My profile folder get huge!

My FF gets slow, uses a lor of RAM & the profile folder size goes huge.

So, while trying to locate the folder content that can be deleted- I came across a folder named: "to-be-removed".

[ ... AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ <profile folder> \storage ]

1. What is the purpose of this folder? 2. Is it safe to delete all of it's content(to empty it)?

My FF id gets logged out whenever I restart my computer, due to which all my sync data is removed from that system. My FF id is used on 3-4 systems and 1 mobile but never faced such issue. Also the said problem of logging out is faced from last 7-10 days on only one system. Kindly help me out in the same.

My Firefox Home Page was perfect until I accidentally hit the Home icon or Most Visited. I had the Tab Page with one row probably with default colors. If I manage to get the New Tab Page back, it doesn't stay. It doesn't have an icon for Home. I can't get that page back. If I exit, it goes back to one of the support pages. I have done a reset Firefox from the Control Panel but that just goes thru the set up pages again. I am afraid to delete and reinstall because I don't know what will happen to all my data.
