items dragged to overflow menu pop back out, will not stay there - dunno how to fix this.

Hate the "puzzle piece." Involuntarily upgraded to 115.25.0esr and it lost all my bookmarks, addons, history. How do I know which profile was the most recent, before the update added a new profile? How do I find my addons from the previous version? history?

The recent update has basically wiped out my Firefox information and set-up. I have a lot of critical links set-up in my new tab. It is imperative I get them all back please. This is terrible for me.

I have already done the about:profiles, made new profile, used the file named old Firefox files (dated 03-25-25) but end up with the same crap coming up. How is this possible?

The initial problem I was dealing with was FF kept directing me to Youtube every time I clicked on a NORMAL link in my google search. 🤷‍♀️ I tried several different links but same result....Youtube again!

This is where I went down the rabbit hole. 🙄 My first step was to get some help with my Firefox browser for this 'redirecting' issue. Under the help heading, "More Troubleshooting Information" I found "Give Firefox a Tune-Up using Refresh". Hmmm, maybe this will fix the issue?? I carefully read the following before proceeding....

"Start fresh to fix performance issues. This will remove your extensions and customizations. You WON'T LOSE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION LIKE BOOKMARKS AND PASSWORDS."

WRONG!!! MISLEADING!!! LIES LIES LIES!!! 😡😤😡

I lost almost ALL of my saved bookmarks except for TEN (the most recently used) that still remained after the refresh was completed! I literally lost over a hundred of them that I had accumulated while using Firefox for so many years!! 😲😣🤦‍♀️ 21 different folders, Home, Travel, Shopping, Banking etc, each containing 10-30 OR MORE bookmarks to sites I need to SAVE to be able to revisit later when needed. ALL GONE!!! 😡😤

I have been loyally using ONLY Firefox as my browser for 2 decades!! Now the only thing I can say about Firefox is a whole lot of curse words!!

WHY WOULD FIREFOX INCLUDE SUCH A #$@&! STATEMENT??? "You won't lose essential information like Bookmarks and Passwords"......YES YOU WILL!!!

This NEEDS TO BE REMOVED!!

Why not be an honest and reliable browser?? Include information that if you perform a refresh, you WILL lose these essentials but you might possibly be able to recover them from hidden files somewhere, but you won't easily know where to find them!! 😉

The next time I have ANY issues using Firefox I won't be 'refreshing' nothing at all!! I won't troubleshoot NOTHING!! I will just copy and save all of my bookmarks and SWITCH TO GOOGLE CHROME!! 👍

All folders, all loose and all on the tool bar

ive tried to follow steps to recover but all are gone ?

Trying to restore bookmarks which vanished after latest Firefox update. Followed instructions: clicking managebookmarks to get to the library (which is completely empty after the last update) then up/down arrow button, then restore and choose file. Which should enable me to import a backup file. But nothing happens. No way of importing a backup file I found after some very tedious searching. Does anyone have any idea why the library functions aren't working and how can I get them to work?

Sir ,recently I had problem with browsing of fire fox can you please restore my firefox to its earlier glory with no problems for browsing ans choosing bookmarks as I like ? Please restore all my previous bookmarks by importing or in any other way.

Hi. While clearing my browser history the other night some of my bookmarks also got deleted. I understand once browser history is deleted it cannot be recovered, but is there any way a deleted bookmark can be recovered?

I was reinstalling windows because there was alot of unwanted cache in the c-drive and I thought that the passwords would be saved on my google account but i didn't know they were saved in the browser. Is there anyway that you could help me to recover those passwords i can provide you any needed information if it helps in recovering those passwords. Thank you

I updated Firefox, and all my bookmarks disappeared, and I can no longer bookmark things, alongside this, websites no longer autofill in and my browsing history is gone. I tried restarting but that did not work.

My computer did an update, and now my bookmarks are all missing. I tried what was listed to recover my bookmarks, but nothing is working. I need help retrieving my bookmarks. It is imperative! I do not have the old Firefox files. They were deleted by accident. My files were not copied from another browser.

I have Firefox 140.0.2 . A few days ago I lost all the tabs of my session while using, for the first time, the CSV export of my Pocket saves. Using the Firefox menu in the upper right, I found that there were no previous tabs listed to be restored and all previous windows were empty save for the individual links from my Pocket saves. My search history was also empty although my settings are set to save it. There was nothing to salvage and I gave-up perplexed. Today I am researching. I am learning that earlier sessions can be restored via backups. I've found my "sessionstore-backups" folder and jsonlz4 and baklz4 files. It is here that I get overwhelmed following the written directions in Firefox Help (link text. I stalled at step 5. I looked for video help and couldn't find anything. I would appreciate any assistance with this for me, a non-savvy computer user. Oh, I use a mac if that is relevant. Thanks. Mary
