I had to reset my primary password. Now the new password is not being accepted. And I keep getting a pop-up asking for the password. What can I do to have my password accepted?
I already tried to un-check "use primary password" in settings but cannot accomplish that with a password that is rejected.
Whenever i open a sheet in google sheets it does not render and it is transparent(I can see open windows other than Firefox ) Firefox for Ubuntu 133.0.3

Please read below my emails to Ghostery support that describes the issue and the Ghostery response.
The issue is using DuckDuckGo in Firefox with the Ghostery add-on enabled, and changing DuckDuckGo AI settings.
Please let me know if there is a resolution available.

An FYI -
Ghostery Tracker & Ad Blocker - Privacy AdBlock 10.4.32 has an issue in Firefox with DuckDuckGo search engine Settings changes to AI Features, Chat to off, Assist to Never, then saved and shown working with a page refresh.
When Firefox is then shutdown and restarted the intended DuckDuckGo browser changes are not applied. Assist will still show a result in a search.
Proven by disabling Ghostery, again changing DuckDuckGo AI features and saving, shutting down Firefox and restarting, then searching with DuckDuckGo with no Assist displayed in result.
I can answer any questions you may have.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out to Ghostery and bringing this to our attention!
We were able to reproduce the issue on our end, though with slightly different conditions. It appears that DuckDuckGo’s settings are stored locally in the browser. If Firefox is set to clear cookies and site data (either manually or automatically), this would reset DuckDuckGo’s preferences each time — even with Ghostery disabled.
Could you please check if the option “Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed” is turned off in your Firefox settings and try again? In our tests, DuckDuckGo’s settings were preserved when this option was disabled. It would greatly help to narrow this down.
Here for any further questions! Best, Ghostery Support

Hi Ghostery Support 2,
Thank you for replying.
Yes, the option “Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed” is turned on. When turned off and the Ghostery extension enabled, the changes to DuckDuckGo were saved and implemented correctly when Firefox was restarted.
I did find this.
In Firefox settings Cookies and Site Data, Manage Exceptions, I added "https://duckduckgo.com" and set Status to Allow. I also turned on “Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed”.
With the Ghostery extension enabled, the saved settings to DuckDuckGo were still active when Firefox was restarted.
But I do not think it wise to give DuckDuckGo an exception to use cookies and site data with no restriction.
Please keep me informed.

Hi there, Thanks for getting back to us!
Unfortunately, there’s not much Ghostery can do in this case. If DuckDuckGo saves its settings internally, there may be no way to keep duckduckgo.com out of exceptions while preserving those settings elsewhere.
You might want to look into third-party tools that support this kind of setup, or consider reaching out to Mozilla’s support team with this request.

I have included a website on the list of exceptions for deleting cookies when Firefox is closed. When I go to the website the icons on Firefox for it show "enhanced tracking protection off" and "You have granted this website additional permissions". This website uses cookies to recognize my computer and not to require a one time password. However, when I close Firefox despite the fact that the website is on the exception list, cookies are deleted and I have to keep re-entering the one time password. I did turn of the checkbox for deleting cookies when Firefox is closed and now I am no longer asked to enter the OTP after Firefox is closed.
I assume this is a bug. Does anyone else experience similar issues? Is anything I can do about it and be able to use the exception list as intended?
Thanks.

TL;DR : Disqus comments used to work while using privacy Strict mode now it doesn't.
After years of it working out of the get-go while using Strict mode up till recently (about a year ago this was really low on my priority list) refused to work I though it was my Ad blocker was causing issues but after setting it in the filters to allow and even after turning it off still no dice.
Removed all add-ons tried again still Disqus comment section refused to load in the websites I regularly visit. So after giving up, I just look around in the browser setting to see if there is anything that may cause conflict with certain scripts from running.

I am using Tor nowadays because I get a trojan horse or other possible threats, every time using Firefox. I use ClamTk on my HP computer with Linux Mint 21.1 installed.
These are the 3 files that usually turn up after a full scan with ClamTk:
Mozilla Firefox PUA.Win.Trojan.Xored-1 Mozilla Firefox PUA.Html.Exploit.CVE_2012_ Mozilla Firefox PUA.win.Exploit.CVE_2012_none
I found out when my website turned out to be hacked, so I installed the ClamTk virus scanner.
Just to let you know so you might find a solution.
Thanks, Frank

Hello, I think I may have asked about this in the past but cannot recall if I received an answer. Under Settings, I get the message "Your browser is being managed by your organization." This is my home computer and is not being managed by any organization. When I click for more information, it gives me a screen with the following information:
Policy Name Certificates
Policy Value ImportEnterpriseRoots
true
If I could get more information on this suspected error, or how to correct it, that would be great. Thanks!

Firefox periodically says I am "forbidden" to enter my Kaiser website (KP.org). I know what Mozilla recommends as a fix, which is to clear data and cookies. But this creates more problems because I have to re-enter passwords and other settings. This is a problem Mozilla's website reports has been occurring for YEARS! Why can't Mozilla/Firefox fix this? Please tell me there is a better way to fix this problem.

Issue summary: I lost over 100 sites listed in the Cookies and Site Data section when I simply removed a few websites in the Enhanced Tracking Protection section.
Under the Browser Privacy section, the two subheads, "Enhanced Tracking Protection" and "Cookies and Site Data" serve two distinct purposes—as I understand. Enhanced Tracking Protection will automatically add the URL of a webpage (that you currently have open) to the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen whenever you disable the shield in the search bar. This will turn off tracking for that website until turn you it back on. You can also manually add websites to the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen if you have mulitples to add. This whitelist will stay active until you delete them or click on the shield to turn it back on.
The Cookies and Site Data section further down, allows you to create a list of sites that you want to BLOCK, ALLOW FOR SESSION, or ALLOW cookies and site data to be used, and retained or not. This differs from the Enhanced Tracking Protection section.
Today, I wanted to delete one of the websites listed in the Enhanced Tracking Protection, and did so manually. But since there were only a couple listed (I rarely add to this screen), I simply clicked on "Remove All Websites" instead of "Remove Website." Unfortunately, when I went down to the Cookies and Site Data list (which I use all the time) to add a new URL today, my entire list was gone! I did not remove or enter anything in the Cookies and Site Data screen today, prior to using the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen.
As you can guess, I am sick because I had over 100 sites listed in the Cookies and Site Data section, and lost them all when I removed the few websites in the Enhanced Tracking Protection section. I don't know why or how this happened, but it is worth noting that I did just update Firefox this morning to vs 125.0.2 (from 124.0.2). My list is gone, but does anyone have a reason why it happened and is there a way to prevent that in the future? Or is it some kind of bug with the latest release or an earlier one. (I haven't opened the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen for a long time, so it could be from any past release.) Sorry I don't have more info than that. Any solutions would be appeciated.
