But reading the current mozilla.org entry on managing passwords (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/password-manager-remember-delete-edit-logins), there is no mention of deleting multiple logins/passwords, only how to delete them one at a time. I tried clearing all my Firefox data, figuring that should do it, but it did not; the logins and passwords are still there. I turned off the "save passwords" option long ago, but there are still over 50 old passwords there. Do I have to really go in and delete them one by one?

Hi, I noticed this issue quite a few times: When I open the cookies privacy settings, the two buttons "Clear Data" and "Manage Data" often appear grayed out. I don't use private browsing or disabled offline cache like I saw in other threads, and I use only 4 regular extensions. The funny thing is that the buttons become functional on their own after a couple of minutes if I just leave the tab open. So it seems that Firefox is running some very long process before enabling these buttons the first time the settings page is opened. If I close the privacy settings tab and open it again, then these two buttons immediately appear enabled, not grayed out.
Firefox should probably change the very confusing and counter-intuitive way it is handling these two buttons, or at least display some animated icon to indicate it is doing some stuff, but if it's reading all cookies before deciding to enable the two buttons (and I don't think I have an unusual number of cookies), I'd rather have Firefox enable these buttons immediately and run this cookies analysis process AFTER I click on one of these two buttons, not before. By the way, it would be great if the about:support page could provide the number of cookies or web sites with cookies so we might use this for technical support. I have no idea how many I have and if this number is a problem.
In any case, for all other users that experience the grayed out cookie management buttons: Leave the settings tab open, do other stuff on Firefox or the computer, and come back to this settings tab after a few minutes, you'll find the two buttons enabled.

Basically I have Never Remember History enabled, and each time I open FF there's data in 'Cookies and Site Data'. Under 'Cookies and Site Data' it will say there's a bit of data (in the photo is says 16Kb, which is pretty typical). If I look under 'manage cookies and site data' there will be nothing there. Sometimes the cookies or cache or whatever is bigger if the last time I used that profile I was watching videos, at most it will be a couple Mb's maybe. If I wipe it out, it will go to 0Kb, and then for the rest of the profile session, even if I have a bazillion tabs open, it will say 0, but then there's always a cache there the next time I start that profile.
What is it? Why is there always a small amount of data in the 'Cookies and Site Data' section each time I restart a profile?
I'm currently running version 68.2.0esr on Debian Linux version 5.3.0-1-amd64. I use uBlock Origin 1.23.0 and uMatrix 1.4.0 and Canvasblocker 0.5.14. I have web history turned off ('Never Remember History'), trackers blocked, cookies enabled w/ third party disabled, auto search engine update turned on, Do Not Track enabled, 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' enabled by default (b/c history is off). I might have changed a few tiny things in about:config but nothing I remember. Any other system info I can look up in need be.

It happened unfortunately; 3 - a user A that open its profile on X workstation upgrade his profile to 70.0.2; 4 - the day after he use a different workstation Y and his profile won't work, firefox will start with a default-release profile; 5 - IT manager (me) have to move (!) because you need to upgrade workstaton Y firefox to let the user A works, but this time it will upgrade to 70.0.3; 6 - return to 2 - because users move - (and "for some reason ... upgrade" become "you need to upgrade" of point 5) and everything become s**t!
I need to avoid the profile upgrading at least on minor release to control the system even if I will leave firefox to other browser for my organisation.
Please help!
p.s.: sorry for my english p.s.2: let me say that one the best things of firefox is that profiles worked every where on every system every time. It is really annoying.

After spending ten minutes filling in all the crap they want for me to establish an account, I added them to 1Password and opened the application. The FIRST instruction is for the User to ADD the site they will be using Authy to retrieve an Authentication Code in order to log into Firefox. I typed in Firefox and you are NOT in their list of supported applications. Facebook, Twitter, Chrome, etc. are all there. Moreover, I could NOT add Firefox as one of their supported applications. I had to submit a request. Did it EVER occur to the Firefox Developers that maybe before you throw up a list of Authenticator Apps that support FireFox, that you first determine if they actually do???????? This is sixth grade coding and a waste of thirty minutes. It makes me question if any of the supposed features in your browser are anything more than "Vaporware". Listed features that are supposedly running in the background, but actually aren't even coded in. I'll skip your security features since its obvious you don't have a clue how to implement them, or they are just there for another type of "fake marketing scheme". The attachments ARE from the downloaded application, yet there is NOTHING for me to input in Setup04 Attachment Pic, because I can't create an account that is tied to Firefox.
