Since I started using Firefox many years ago I have allowed it to remember history and every couple of weeks have delated the oldest history pages. Recently Firefox history covers only today and this page disappears when I close Firefox. Firefox is set to remember history but the function seems to have gone. How can I resurrect it?

Is it possible to open my group of Homepage custom URL's in containers by default (e.g., Personal containers)? I have three URL's (pages) I bring up by default when I open Firefox, and I'd like them to open in Personal containers all.

I was just examining the PageInfo area in Firefox for our Remote Desktop gateway. When I first click on the padlock, it says in green 'You are securely connected to this site'. However, when I click 'More information', under the 'Security' tab>Technical Details, it says 'The web site (our site) does not support encryption for the page you are viewing'.

This seems strange - Firefox is happy with the SSL cert - everything green. The site has an HTTPS address, and HTTP is disabled. By virtue of it being an HTTPS connection, it's encrypted, SSL cert or not. If the cert was bad, and I clicked to proceed anyway, it would still be encrypted - that's what HTTPS does.

So what doesn't Firefox like about the page? Any thoughts most welcome.

Thanks.

PS neither Chrome nor Edge flag up anything similar, in their equivocal areas.

Every time I close out Firefox and then restart it, the browser address bar has an orange stripe with a robot icon that says my browser is in remote control mode. I have to go into the about:config panel and search for the "Marionette" options. If I toggle the two settings that are true/false and restart, the remote control goes away. I did not install this feature, I have no idea how to use it, I don't need it, and I'm tired of having to do this every time I open Firefox. It's ridiculously annoying to the point that I'm ready to start using another browser. The internet has NO practical help on how to fix this for anyone who is not an expert in computer code. I need a permanent fix for this pesky and annoying bug.

Hi Firefox guys, I've recently created a windows domain (2019 servers only, clients and dc) and deployed firefox 87 On all computers.. Now I need to make sure firefox uses the best practice ciphers only.

    • Is there a way of customizing such security setting, across the network? maybe using GPO**?

(I am having a hard time trying to find relevant info, no luck yet)

Thanks in advance :)

Hi,

I was trying to use firefox primary password without knowing what it does :(. Well by the time i set the primary password in firefox i realise that it replaced all the saved login passwords of over 600 URLS with primary password.

I checked few articles where they have spoken about replacing logins-backup.json and key4.db file. In my case though i think this will not help because i had my syncing on, when i did primary password setting change. is there any method with which i can restore my previous passwords by creating new profile may be.

Just desperately need way with which i can restore the passwords else this will be really difficult for my work

Thanks Prasad
