Deleting Bookmarks

I have Firefox installed on three Windows Desktop Computers. On one, I just cannot delete Bookmarks, no matter what suggestions I try. Verify Integrity of the database … (funda kabanzi)

I have Firefox installed on three Windows Desktop Computers. On one, I just cannot delete Bookmarks, no matter what suggestions I try. Verify Integrity of the database produced no results. I do not, for a variety of reasons, sync bookmarks (or anything else) between the three installations. Experienced user that has spent far too long on what should be a simple issue.

Used to have an icon that I put under the "hamburger" menu on the bookmarks toolbar that opened the bookmarks menu. Can't remember how I got it there.

Instruction for saving a bookmark "To bookmark a page, just click on the star in the address bar." does not work. Nothing happens.

All of a sudden I cannot save bookmarks. Neither the instruction "To bookmark a page, just click on the star in the address bar." or using the "Bookmark Current tab..." i… (funda kabanzi)

All of a sudden I cannot save bookmarks. Neither the instruction "To bookmark a page, just click on the star in the address bar." or using the "Bookmark Current tab..." in the Bookmarks menu do anything. Trying either method just sits there and does nothing.

The 2nd from top line of my browser is now missing.

First, I am technologically illiterate, so my terminology will be imperfect. Until today, there was a second line in my Google browser that listed my favorite sites I visited daily. It was just below the Google Tab line (the very top line). That line is now gone and now I have to look up the web addresses in my bookmark thing off to the right. How can I get that favorite sites line thingy back?
