Your settings warn me that the site isn't ---https://. --- which I realize, and FIREFOX stops me from going to the site. How do I temporarily use a site, then restore the security? Sometimes the bookmark bar will just be completely empty (see screenshot). Clicking on the bar does nothing, they're not invisible they're actually gone. The bookmarks are still saved on my account, so right-clicking and removing and re-adding the bookmark bar restores them as they were. But I'm having to do this like 2-3 times a day and it's getting really annoying.
I've tried restarted the application and that didn't help. Firefox version: 124.0.2 (64-bit)

Recently, my hard drive was erased, I lost all my data, and I've got a new computer that I'm setting up I'm trying to sign into my Firefox but I don't have the password. I go through Password reset options, and it send a code to my email ([edited] @mindspring.com) and the spam filter is filtering out the email, so I cannot see it. I'm stuck in a loop! I cannot get the passcode and cannot sign into my account. I just need to chat with someone to help me. Please call my call when available.

My iMAC desktop computer crashed yesterday and ultimately I ended up having to go into recovery mode, erase the hard drive to reinstall the OS and then restore the applications and files from TimeMachine using Migration Assistant. All of that worked fine, but Firefox was still hanging up, so I deleted it and downloaded the most recent version. That of course wiped out all of my bookmarks. I used Time Machine to restore the "bookmarksbackup" folder as shown in the image below. That did not help, at least in terms of restoring my bookmarks to Firefox. I noticed that a second profile had been created, so I copied the same list of files to the bookmarksbackup folder under that profile. Still no help. It occurred to me that perhaps there is another place where the current active bookmark file should live, but if that is the case, I can't figure out where that might be. I'm quite stuck and really need access to my bookmarks. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
PS: I've since run a thorough virus scan using Microsoft Defender and checked disk integrity using DiskUtility.

Earlier, I joined a zoom meeting from a facebook group (facebook in a container). I had Yahoo open on my browser. Now, no matter what I do (including uninstalling and reinstalling firefox), I get the message every time I try to open a link from a particular email to a website totally unaffiliated with facebook. It looks like facebook grabbed onto the open tab and I can't get rid of it. I'm using a different browser to access that url, but I'd like to get facebook out of my yahoo business. It looks like FB is trying to track my activity on the web. Please help. BTW, Yahoo was in a personal container and the url for zoom opened up when I joined the zoom meeting from facebook, so all 3 of those tabs were open for a couple of hours. Thanks for your help.

I was trying to watch Youtube and pulled up the page, but all that was there were grey boxes where the recommended videos should be on the home page. When trying to search, only a blank area came up. When I tried to go directly to a channel, the same happened. Loading a direct link from a video let me play the video, but everything around it was gone, no recommended, no channel, no likes, nothing.
I have tried clearing the cache and cookies. My Firefox version is up to date as of right now. I restarted the browser several times and restarted my computer.
Other solutions suggested going to about:config and changing image.webp.enabled to true, but when I search under about:config, that option is not there.
Youtube works if I open a private window and sign in. I have tried opening Firefox in troubleshooting mode and this did not solve the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess it wouldn't be so hard to put an option to disable that function. That would make life so much easier. And there are LOTS of requests for the same thing in this site many of them more than years old.
