Firefox updated its version on my iMac desktop two days ago and all my bookmarks are gone. There's a message at the top that says: "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. Manage bookmarks..."

All my bookmarks are gone as if they were never there. I have a My Passport Backup hard-drive but I don't know where I can find them and restore them.

Firefox completely changed overnight without notice and I have lost all my bookmarks and can't find out how to access TV channels that were easily available previously on my desktop. Trying to make sense of changes but struggling. Nothing that used to work for me is still available. I don't even recognise it. Might have to give up Firefox.

I had to erase my laptop and am in the process of resetting it up. I used firefox prior and am trying to see if it is possible to restore all my previous bookmarks etc. I was told it automatically backed them up.

Hello, yesterday my 2025 Macbook restarted on it's own and my Firefox browser restarted too, and while it brought me back to all the tabs I had open, every single one of my bookmarks has disappeared. I only have one profile. All my extensions are working properly. The bookmarks sidebar and toolbar are both completely wiped clean. I've tried to go through the backup and restore options provided in this community previously, but going into my library and clicking 'backup' or 'restore' has done nothing. How can I recover my bookmarks? I had been saving small business links for years that are now just gone for seemingly no reason.

Upon restarting my laptop earlier today, I realized that ALL my Firefox bookmarks have disappeared into thin air. Gone (or, rather, "empty") is my bookmarks toolbar, and my bookmark menu, and everything else. What to do? Thank you.

and how do I fix it so I can restore previous sessions I accidentally close? I accidentally deleted all prior data from whatever version of Firefox I was using the other day (I didn't have a profile as far as I'm aware) removing all saved passwords, bookmarks, history, and apparently the Restore function.

My bookmarks have disappeared. I have followed the steps to restore them under the FAQ, but at Step 2 ("In the Library window, click the import-export-arrows button and then select Restore"), when I click Restore, no list of backups appears from which to select the one I want to restore. I have been using Firefox for years and have loads of useful bookmarks. How can I get them back?
