The Firefox icon on my taskbar has a great big green number 1 plonked on it. It doesn't seem to relate to the number of windows I have open or the processes running. It's there even when Firefox is closed. I thought it might be messages but I can't find those either. Its driving me nuts can you please tell me how to get rid of it? I'm running it in Ubuntu on a laptop.

On Firefox 90 on Ubuntu 20.04, when a site asks for camera and microphone permissions, it’s not possible to select any device anymore. It just shows the default camera and the default microphone.

Earlier Firefox releases used to show a selection list for the camera and also another one for the microphone.

My default camera is the one built into the laptop and I would like to use an external one that has adequate picture quality.

Can you please help selecting a camera with the new Firefox?

Hello community,

I have tried many fixes I found online to solve this issue but I have had no luck, this issue even persist into troubleshooting mode. Some sites have white text over a white background and other sites like best buy just have broken html/css, this issue just started happening yesterday for no reason as I have not changed anything of firefox since install, the only additions my browser has is bitwarden and nordvpn add-ons. I have attached pictures as examples. Also if it's any help my system is running Manjaro Qonos 21.2.0

Thank you.

Possible bug: I cannot stop Firefox from restoring sessions after restarting computer. Restore previous session is not checked in Settings, browser.sessionstore.resuming_after_os_restart is false, and browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash is false as well. DISCLAIMER: THIS HAS BEEN SOLVED! Dear Firefox Team, I have installed Firefox-ESR on my HP Chromebook 11, using linux. I saw it going slow so I searched up stuff. I went to "whatsmybrowser.org", saying Firefox 78. I saw that on an article there is 91 and 95. It is 11/3/21, and no update is showing up which a help article said "On 11/2/21, users can update to Firefox-ESR version 91." I couldn't update, so I am now asking for help. Its also going VERY SLOW which I can barely run scratch, google, and even the homepage. Please give me answers so I can fix the problem. Thanks, cogithedog.

I have two windows of Firefox 94 for Linux next to each other, each with its own user profile. It would be very handy if I could drag and drop tabs and items in the bookmarks toolbar from one profile into the other. Apparently this does not work out for me. Am I missing some tip/trick?

It is possible to transfer tabs by drag and drop when both windows belong to the same user. Handy. Obviously the two windows share the same bookmarks toolbar, so the point of transferring makes no sense for the bookmark toolbar.

If that cross-profile transfer is not possible, it is definitely a feature request. This would help greatly in merging piecemeal the bookmarks of two users. Say, to separate private and work bookmarks from time to time.

i have not customized the setup. this is a "stock" configuration. i have lots up upload, download speed. 20Mbps up, 80Mbps down.

Hi, I have an issue with making the separators in the bookmark toolbar drop-downs visible. I am running Firefox 95 with the Quantum - dark Blue theme installed. I am running Linix Mint Uma.

The dropdown have separator - space - but no line showing that there is a separator. I have tried many ways to make the separators visible and with light-grey colouring in the userChrome.css file but nothing changes.

Anybody have any idea what can be done or where I might change the Quantum-DarkBlue coding to incorporate the visible separators?

The documentation says to use F11. F11 was removed from ChromeOS. The Full Screen Button on the keyboard will take Firefox out of full screen, but when you try to use it to put Firefox in Full Screen, the window gets slightly larger, and then goes back to its original size.

Other applications seem to be able to go to full screen using the Full Screen key that are running under Linux. For instance, gvim, thunar, meld, and gnucash all will go into full screen with the Full Screen Key.

Hi! I'm using Firefox 95.0 on Linux Manjaro Gnome. For some reason, strange CSS styles began to appear on some sites, making them unreadable. It is not possible to understand where this styles comes from, but definitely not from the site, since in other browsers they are displayed correctly. Here is a link to screenshots from different sites screenshot 1 screenshot 2 What's most interesting - in the Settings What I have tried: - Fonts And Colors section: The checkbox in the "Use system colors" is unchecked The checkbox in "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" is checked - I also tried to clear the browser cache - Also disabled all plugins - Changed the theme to the default one. - Disabled / Enabled "Use hardware acceleration when available" - I think that styles from userContent.css & userChrome.css are applied to sites. And I removed this files from /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/87syjf8o.default-release/chrome How I can fix this?

There is a known issue for some i3 users that when we click the right-mouse button, the context menu will pop up in a position where the first item in the menu is already highlighted, so when the right mouse button is released, it automatically "selects" that item. So if we want to copy a link, for example, we have to be careful to move the mouse before releasing the button or that link will immediately be opened in a new tab.

What some of us have done in the past is to create a userChrome.css file setting a top (and/or left) margin for that menu, which fixes the issue.

In the latest version(s?) of Firefox, this no longer works (but other userChrome.css rules I have set up continue to work), so I'm assuming that the ID of the context menus has been changed. What is the ID now?

Hi. I'd like to have websites display as light mode but use a dark theme in Firefox. However, depending on if I'm using a dark or light theme, sites are all displaying light/dark according to the theme.

I have: browser.in-content.dark-mode set to false ui.systemUsesDarkTheme set to ""0"" widget.content.allow-gtk-dark-theme set to ""true"" widget.disable-dark-scrollbar set to ""true"" widget.gtk.alt-theme.dark set to ""false""

I'm on Fedora 34 with Firefox 95.0

I wonder if my profile might be corrupt? I was getting some crashes lately and when I restarted firefox sometimes it would load an older tab state. It's fine now when I quit and re-open... but I do wonder :/

thanks for your help!
