Firefox on multiple versions (tested 21 and 26 at least) has an important lag when using menus and right-clicks. When using a 32 bits version, this lag does not exist. Only when using the 64 bits version does the symptom appear. This is running on Ubuntu 10 64 bits. I don't even know where to look for, the problem appears also in Safe Mode, but does not seem to leave any trace. Thanks for pointers to solutions or educational posts, or troubleshooting tips. I'm trying to stream ESPN, FS1, & NBCSN via XFINITY. When it starts to load they respond with a polite message that an updated version of the Flash Player is needed and supplies the Adobe link. Going to the Adobe site and initiating the update sequence Adobe replies with the message "Package 'adobe-flashplugin' is already installed". I'm using Ububtu 16.04 64 bit. Watching video on YouTube is no problem for example. There is no problem on a tablet using Win8 & Firefox to do the same thing.
Kubuntu 16.04 here. Firefox updated to 55.01 and now no sound when browsing. Pulseaudio is latest version, but Firefox says I need to install Pulseaudio.
Audio is fine with Chrome and Opera. I have purged Alsa. What do I need to do?

Running Firefox 31.8.0 for OpenSUSE 11.4 (*which is the highest version available for my OS)
A few months back I had updated Firefox (*I installed a patch that was available this morning to go to version 31.8), but I can't remember from what version to what version, or if that was even the root cause of the issue when I updated it sometime in 2015. But, ever since that I have been having issues adding a "Permanent" Exception for any of our Internal https sites/servers that have an expired certificate.
So for example, I go to this one server https://55.55.55.55/ and when I do, I get a warning that: "This Connection is Untrusted You have asked Firefox to connect securely to 55.55.55.55:8443, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure...."
So I click "Add Exception" and then in the Pop-up I leave "Permanently store this exception" checkbox checked, and I click "Confirm Security Exception" and when I do nothing happens at all... If I were to then uncheck the "Permanently store this exception" checkbox and click on "Confirm Security Exception" again, this time it works. But, it's only storing a temporary exception, the permanent checkbox used to work at some point a while back but now its not...
However, if I re-open Firefox and choose my secondary profile called "temp" and load that instead of my regular profile "default", and I naviagte to the same page and Confirm Security Exception with the Permanent checkbox checked, it works perfectly.
Is there something wrong with my Profile? I have some much under this Profile I really don't want to loose it.
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to respond. It would be greatly appreciated!

I installed Java 1.6 rpm. As suggested here : - https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/JavaRuntimeEnvironment (chapter Java x86_64 JRE and plugin) In - /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/ I created a symlink that points to - /usr/java/latest/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so (located in JRE 1.6).
When I display "about:addons", Java 1.6 is listed, BUT, when a load a simple HTML page (see code below) aimed to display Java version _really_ used, 1.7 is displayed.

I have already tried resetting Firefox, creating a new profile and even going back to 37 via apt-get install firefox=37.0+build2-0ubuntu1
None of this helped at all.
Because sound doesn't even work under 37.0 I do assume that the problem is rooted in some system update, but I still post this here and not the Ubuntu forums because this problem persists ONLY in Firefox playing HTML5 files (as far as I know). As soon as I force YouTube, for example, to use Flash everything is fine (except that it is using flash :D).
As I am not that confident with Linux yet I am not quite sure how to fix this. I don't even know how to best post some sort of debug-log or list of updated programs/files that came with the Ubuntu update. So any help is appreciated!

I installed Firefox Nightly (56.0a1 (2017-07-22) (64-bit)) and enabled sync for bookmarks and passwords. Bookmarks were synced correctly, but not the passwords.
I can see a the file logins.json in my profile folder, with the logins content. But if I go to Preferences->Security->Saved Logins the list is empty. Also, logins form field are not auto filled.
None content was imported manually. Nightly somehow synced and downloaded the logins.json, but apparently it's not using it.
I already did this exact same process (reinstall in new machine + sync) without any problem, except for this time/version. May it be a bug?
I already tried some forum solutions: connect/reconnect account; delete signedInUser.json; restarting; etc. Everytime the logins.json is correctly fetched from the web with the content, or the bookmarks are synced correctly, but Nightly apparently is not 'using' the contents of this file.
