I upgraded to the beta version of Firefox 4.0, and my browser language automatically changed from English to German. How do I switch it back?

It seems that the option to change the browser language under Options > Advanced > went away with Firefox 4.0.; at least I don't see it anymore.

Firefox allows you to select your prefered language to view a website under Options > Content, but this has no effect on the browser language.

Please advise.

Sometimes my wifi connection is choppy (darn that microwave popcorn!) and I hate it when I'm in the middle of reading the links in Drudge and it reloads....sometimes shifting the layout a bit or just hanging while it waits for some adserver to respond.

Is there any way to stop this from happening? Tried Freezing the tab. And for some reason, firefox is not preventing this page from automatically reloading like it does others.

Any ideas?

I have read a lot of threads, but I have not found that any help. I just reformatted my hard drive and installed FF4 fresh. . I open firefox to my homepage. No tabs opened at this point. If I right click on on the page to open a new link by opening a new tab, it stays on the current page and opens a new tab in the background. My problem is if I am on a page and I open a new tab by selecting a BOOKMARK, it switches to the new tab immediately. I want to stay on the current tab and have the bookmark tab open in a background tab. Any help? Thanks.

P.S. I have tried checking and unchecking "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately", I have tried safe mode, I have tried disabling all of the add-on's....nothing seems to work.

I have installed some themes(skins), and I'd like to know where they are located on my HD because I'd like to make some modifications on them.

I have searched in the firefox profile directory with no success.

The 'extensions' folder contains extensions like 'download status bar', 'flashblock' and 'cache viewer', but not the themes.

Thanks a lot.

I've recently switched to Firefox from Safari and I love it. The one thing I miss about Safari is the autofill icon that you can click on and it will enter your name address, phone number, email address etc in the appropriate fields with just one click. How do I set this up in Firefox? I've looked through all the help categories and none of them seem to fit.

I see that there is a keyboard shortcut for switching tabs within a Firefox browser window, but I'd also like one for switching between browser windows. I imagine this is easier on Windows, where each browser window sort of behaves as a separate application, but on the Mac OS an application can own several windows. Thus, the OS doesn't provide support for switching between browser windows via a keyboard shortcut; it can just switch between applications, which brings all of the target application's windows to the front.

A user on my workstation uses Firefox and has visited a site that installed "Win 7 Internet Security 2011" on this machine. I successfully identified and removed the Trojan virus software. The browsers where neutralized by this virus and are inoperable. I created a new user account for this person. This user has been reinfected with the new account.

I want to find out where this user has been to identify where this Trojan virus is coming from. The only way I know how to do this is by reviewing the history log file to see where this person has been. I want to review the history location as the administrator of the machine; not use the infected user account. If there is a better way to do this outside of the infected user account, I am open to suggestions.

I looked through every menu item in the tool bar and couldn't find the Trust Manager.

What are the KEYstroke(s) used to CLOSE the active tab in the web browser? I am reluctant to use a mouse where I can use keystrokes, as the mouse is a much slower process. In fact, can I find a list of all key strokes which can be used in Firefox, e.g. ALT+S followed by R (once or more) and ENTER used to restore previous browsing session; or CTRL+F to search for a specific word or term? Thank you.
