Installed ff on new C drive and trying to import my profile from replaced, working drive. Got as far as pasting previous folder into new one and see new files were added. Both drives W10. But clicking bookmarks and passwords gets "nothing saved." Cannot decipher folder contents, & without details it's a dead end.

Likewise there is a page here on "importing bookmarks from another browser", with a link. It opens to window where you can look for the file. Same problem, not knowing where bookmarks are. Is there a place to find details on what profile folders and files store. Or am I missing something else? Thanks for assist. -- PS Images could be added if any purpose.

Hi, I cannot import my Firefox bookmarks from my macbook pro 2021 to my macbook pro 2024. When I select "import data", only Safari show up, not Firefox, which has been my default browser for many years. Please help me, thanks, cindi

I want to import web page bookmarks from MS Edge. I tried to do it per the settings help page, but I cannot get my firefox bookmarks to populate with the ones from my Edge browser. This problem is a deal breaker that may send me (under duress) back to MS Edge, and I really don't want that.

Good afternoon, I had to format my PC and when I installed Firefox, when I logged in, I noticed that it didn't import the bookmarks I had associated with the account (as I always do) or the saved passwords. Everything disappeared. Why? Can I recover this data? Thank you.

I'm looking for help in transferring everything from Firefox to Chrome. If anyone knows how, because Google isn't being the best help at the moment. I have a Chromebook, so it's been tough trying to download Firefox. I'm looking for a way to move what I need onto the laptop without having to start from scratch and do things one by one, which is too many things. I just downloaded Firefox and came to the page for importing data to Firefox, where it says " Import browser data" followed by a box containing "Microsoft Edge" in the next line, then

Select the data you’d like to import. Favorites Saved passwords Browsing history Form autofill data

then the prompt to Import

Is this a trick for Edge to import the data rather than Firefox or as it should be for Firefox to Import the data including that in Edge? As you might have guessed - I don't trust Edge or Microsoft one little bit.

Your instructions for migrating passwords from Safari to Firefox are outdated, ex.: there is no "Preferences" option, and no "..." to export

hi, is it possible to import cookies.txt from another browser without using any extensions? im asking that since when im trying to import bookmarks, passwords or whatever, my previous browser that i was using is not on the list.

Hello I need to solve the following problem: My daughter can no longer access her Windows 11 PC -> profile issue. Can I save C:\...\profiles for her Firefox bookmarks, reset Windows, install FF, and copy back the profiles folder. Or import the bookmarks from profiles into the new FF?

I have depended and supported the use of firefox as my default browser. I have always backed up my extremely large bookmark file in html. yesterday I went to use brouser and my toolbar and bookmarks were gone. after wasting most of my day trying to retreave them. I have tried to import from html file, other browser. I keep getting error message. says cause is file being used by something else. i have tried uninstall reinstall, system restore, disabling all virus protection.plus more. I have had to use edge and chrome!!!!! AHHHH need a solution.

The "import bookmarks" doesn't work on my ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS running on an old macbook air. I exported bookmarks from my chrome. when i try the import from file, it says "bookmarks exported successfully", but the bookmarks don't show up anywhere. attached screenshots. what am i missing? thanks, Nilesh

I am trying to change my browser from Chrome to Firefox. I am having trouble importing bookmarks etc. When I select the versions to import, only one option from Chrome is displayed in the list - it's the version/setting of SOME years ago. What can I do to import current bookmarks?
