Within the last few weeks I have had some random BSOD occurrences while using Firefox. I used Nirsoft's BlueScreenView utility to inspect the minidump files. It showed the culprit was: nvlddmkm.sys - Nvidia windows kernel mode driver version 465.89.

The system is Windows 7 64-bit, graphics card is Nvidia GeForce GTX960 driver version 27.21.14.6589. I have used this system and Firefox for several years and never had a BSOD until lately. Disabling hardware acceleration seems to resolve the issue so far.

Are there any changes in Firefox 88 and 89 that could cause this? I have noticed other recent reports of the same problem.

I'm not sure if this problem arose with the latest Firefox upgrade (I'm running MacOS 10.14.6 on an older MacbookPro) or has just appeared after a few days of use -- I think it's the latter. But I can no longer rearrange the sequence of tabs in a window, an absolutely essential feature. There's a contextual menu choice that gives me the option of moving a tab to the beginning, end or a new window, but that only helps in ~10% of situations. What gives??

I have two problems since installing Win 10 update KB5003637 on June 11. FIRST, I get the "Firefox is not your default browser" dialog box every time I open Firefox. Windows Settings shows that Firefox IS my default browser. I have restored Windows default (Edge) and re-set to Firefox, but I still get the "not default browser" message. SECOND, when I have Firefox open and click on a link in an email, instead of the link opening in a new tab, it opens a second, "generic" version of Firefox; one that does not have my Bookmarks or Passwords.

Hi Folks, I am running firefox on my macpro 3,3GHz 12- Core Intel Xenon W Graphics AMD Radeo Pro 580x 8 GB, I am using an apple XDR display.

Every so often I experience a white flash, just within the Firefox window, not across the entire monitor.

I have tried a completely new and full install of Firefox but same problem.

I wonder is anyone had any thoughts or ideas  ?

Hello.

Since updating to Firefox 89, I have been experiencing problems playing videos shared on Google Drive. (The problem occurred in the Devloper Edition of version 89, and version 89 was released to regular Firefox without a solution. When I start playing a video in Google Drive, it plays fine for the first few minutes, but then suddenly the video stops and the video screen goes black, and there is no response when I press the play button. The only solution to this is to reload the web page, but this is very inconvenient as the video stops in the middle and when you reload again it starts playing from the beginning.

Sorry for my bad english. Thanks.

None of my pages load and I get this error message:

PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

This continues to happen and I really need it fixed please!

I end up having to use a different browser when I prefer firefox.

I have emptied my cache, refreshed firefox to default, checked my security settings, not sure I have ads or ad blocking if I do I am not finding it. I did disable some protections to try and get things to work to no avail; which I don't prefer.

I believe this issue is on your end because this happened a few days ago, then things worked, and now they are not again.

I have read many of your articles and don't have any more time to waste to try to fix this. It has been exhausting and now I need you to fix this please.

I won't be able to keep using firefox if this keeps happening. It would be much appreciated if you would fix this.

Thank you!

A link to my previous thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1339912

Recap: I was having what I believe were some kind of syncing issues, where none of my passwords would autofill, and I couldn't save new login information, and was getting logged out of websites that I would normally be perma-logged in to. At the same time, I have also been having connectivity issues where FF loses connection to my internet for around 5 minutes. Sometimes it would fix itself and other times I'd have to restart FF. Meanwhile, Chrome would run fine in the background so I know it's not my actual wifi but it's specific to FF.

I have tried the FF "refresh" and when that didn't fix it, I tried a full uninstall/reinstall which fixed my syncing/password autofill issues but not my connectivity issues.

Any other ideas? I'm super bummed about this because I've used FF for many years and been so happy with it and have convinced so many friends to jump ship from Chrome over to FF. But I don't have time to keep troubleshooting this and it's looking more and more like I'll have to switch over to Chrome if I want to have a normal workday without frustrations and interruptions.

Since using the refresh feature for Firefox, I can no longer use the mouse to scroll through my emails when reading them. I regret refreshing Firefox to a new version. It's horrible in my opinion. I've lost all the things I used every day. It's made my screen size weird also. Does anyone have a way to correct that and the mouse scrolling?

So I mainly use firefox and it had been working perfectly for as long as Ive had my laptop. However, recently this issue has come up, that random pages often (around 70-80% of the time) do not open on the first try. Firefox tries to load it for 5-8 seconds and then gives me the server not found error. However, if I click on the refresh button a couple of times it then successfully loads the webpage. This has been happening for 2-3 days now and is really annoying and hard to work around.

It shouldn't be my wifi since my other laptop does not have this issue. I have refreshed/reset firefox to no avail. I use kaspersky security, but it has had no issues so far and I have not done any changes to settings or anything like that. I thought maybe its a firewall issue but I had not tinkered with any of those settings either. Lastly, I also play online shooters and have so far not noticed any lag during games, making me think its a browser issue.

Some weeks ago I start notice, that in Mozila Firefox all videos start have noticeable horizontal line. Later I found that this line appear always on any image ( not only video) when I scroll down any page. As I understand, something wrong with Vertical Synchronization on Mozila browser ( I dont have that problems when use other browser or watch video in video players). I don't have that problem when moving all Mozila window with mouse over windows desktop. I tried do some fixes that I found in internet, but it didn't help (set vertical synchroimpuls in nvidia control panel ).

Can anyone suggest, how I can fix that problem?

Hi,

I noticed a problem on my MacBook Pro when Firefox is running. When I have 4 tabs opened on a precise streaming website, with the sound disabled on these 4 tabs, and I run other tab (like youtube) or other app (VLC, Music,...) with the sound enabled on it, I can ear some "pop" or "crackle" in the speakers.

I performed the same test with Safari and the problem don't appear.

Motherbaord, and speakers have been replace on my laptop by AppleCare. I think it's a software issue (maybe due to Firefox, maybe to macOs). I contacted Apple to explain my problem and ask them try to reproduce the issue, but they won't do until Mozilla confirm that the issue is not due to Firefox...

I did't find how to contact Firefox support Team, so I posted here...

Regards, Joe
