I've started having a strange issue with both Firefox for Windows and Android. On some news websites, and sports websites, I can no longer open articles just by clicking on them, but right-clicking works. If this sounds strange - it is!

The issue is exactly as it sounds like. I can hower the mouse over the title of an article and Firefox will recognize that it's a link, showing me the path at the very bottom left of the browser. But when I click it, it simply won't do anything. My mouse works fine before you ask. It's only when I right-click the same article and choose "open in new tab" that the article opens. This is happening on some major sites as well, like the BBC.

At first I thought this was Windows-specific, but I have also had the same issues with my Firefox for Android. And again, long-pressing on the article and selecting open in new tab will open the link, but not normal tapping.

I have restared Firefox in Troubleshooting mode to disable any addons but the problems persist.

Anyone else having the same issue or is there a known solution?

I have had this issue for a long time so in multiple versions of firefox where images of different types don't load correctly and are replaced with a garbled tv-test image type.

On the attached image you can see an example where dots on the map wont show correctly. Can this be some sort of privacy setting I have enabled withot knowing? I have reset firefox but still get the issue.

I'm using Mojave on desktop Mac. After Firefox automatically installed 91.0 and or 91.01 on to my Mac even though the setting required my assent, it appears that 91.0.1 caused all web pages not to display colors, check boxes that I can see when I check them, color contrast on the web pages, and in sum no web page that I visit appears as it normally appears. Attached is a PDF of a screenshot of what I see when I search for "NOAA" and the page comes up so as to convey what's wrong with the web pages. You can compare what I see to what you see when you use the search tern "NOAA" [unless you have the same issue I have :)].

So, "How can [you] help?" You can help by providing me with a solution, fix, or guidance by which web pages will appear normally or a method by which I could revert to Firefox pre-91 software. It's impossible to use Firefox as it is now and so I downloaded Microsoft Edge which will have to do for now. Thank you for paying attention to my issue. Marty.

ps: I checked the box next to "Email me when someone answers the thread: but I cannot tell if it was worked because the check cannot be seen.

I've just upgraded to Firefox 91.0.2 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 system. Clicking on the Firefox icon on my toolbar indicates that the program is active, but no window appears. Trying to close the program by right-clicking doesn't do anything and I have to use the Task Manager to get rid of it. The attached screenshot shows what happens when I hover the cursor over the taskbar icon.

Clicking on a URL sent me in an email also does the same.

Oddly, right-clicking and selecting 'open new window' works, so I can still sort of function, but it's a real pain.

I have only one monitor, so it's not a dual-monitor issue.

Since Firefox was last updated, I now no longer have the ability to access some websites such as Google, Wikipedia, and Amazon without Firefox prompting me to type something to search within those sites even though all I want to do is go to the home page.

I can still get there by typing http:// in front of it but I shouldn't have to and if I change the settings to add the search in the toolbar and then try going to "amazon.com", for example, I'm still being prompted to use the address bar to search.

Is there a way to fully disable this prompt so I can type in "google.com" or "amazon.com" without getting the search prompt?

For the past couple of weeks I am not able to log in to AA.com. When I fill in the require fields ( AAdvantage # or username, Last name, Password), it redirects to https://www.aa.com/sorry.html. I have no problem logging in on one of the other major web browsers. Ad blocker is turned off, cache has been cleared, all the tricks that usually solve such problems. So, I'm beginning to think that something in a recent Firefox update doesn't play nice with AA.com. I'm using Firefox Ver 91.0.2.

Any suggestions?

I'm running Firefox 91.0.2 on a UK Windows 10 PC. I'm simply trying to clear my browser cache, but not my cookies. My problem:

(1) Click on the "triple bar" icon, top-right, to open Firefox menu. (2) Click "Settings". (3) Click "Privacy & Security" on left side. (4) Scroll down (if necessary) to "Cookies and Site Data" section. (5) Click on "Clear Data..." button. (6) Two options are displayed: "Cookies and Site Data" and "Cached Web Content". I do NOT want to clear all my cookies as relogging into all my websites would be a pain. I ONLY want to clear my cache. (7) I attempt to click on the buttons to select the option I want, but the buttons appear to be UNRESPONSIVE. There are no ticks/check marks appearing. The only difference is that the border of the buttons changes colour slightly, but it's VERY hard to see. (Maybe this is connected with using the dark theme?) No matter what combination of button clicks I use, the two buttons remain unchecked, and they look identical. (8) If I click the "Clear" button a warning appears saying that all my cookies will be deleted. This is NOT what I want. (9) I give up and click the "Cancel" button. (10) I close down Firefox, return to the Windows desktop, and close down all possible applications and processes. I try to repeat the above steps, but the same problem happens again. (11) I give up and try to create a Firefox bug report, but I find there is now no bug reporting facility! Users can no longer submit bugs for Firefox!!! So I come here and post my problem, hoping that the community can help. (12) Thanks for any help offered!

I prefer Firefox but speed-tests show it is considerably slower than Chrome and Edge. I have cable network connection. Max download speed is 1000 Mbps. Test show above 900 Mbps for Edge and Chrome and 5-600 Mbps for Firefox, sometimes it is much slower and sometimes download stops for 5-20 seconds. I therefore tried "Refresh Firefox" - and my dear Bookmark sidebar disappeared!! Firefox info told me bookmarks would be saved. Well, it is saved, but it is real troublesome to use it compared to my old sidebar. I WANT MY OLD SIDEBAR BACK - ANY HELP? Kind regards Toralf

Is Windows going to be better or should I just get rid on my computer? I have lost all of my Architectural Specifications and closed down my business. Microsoft doesn't care and tells me to go someplace else if I don't like their Programs. I would someone to show me how to fix this mess.

I use Firefox to open a webpage that has PDF forms that I use routinely. Up until yesterday, 8-24-2021, I would click on the link and the form would open in Acrobat as I desire. Yesterday they started opening in the built in PDF preview, which I am sure is nice for some who just want to read a document, but does not meet my needs for signatures, etc.... I am guessing there was an update that was installed. I changed the settings to open PDFs in Acrobat and it continues to open them in the previewer. I change the setting to ask what to do and it continues to open them in the previewer. Is there an additional setting that I am missing someplace?
