I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I have win 7, 64 bit, FF version 82.0.2. My computer is on the older side, but with ram upgrade to 8 gigs and a new larger hard drive I got it running nicely. Then along came e10s, and, well, now it's a nightmare. The sluggishness is frustrating to say the least, especially when I play my favorite on line game. I used to be able to apply all the fixes out there and remedy the situation, but now nothing works anymore to disable e10s, or is there a way still? The latest remedy, from about a year ago, was to set an environment variable, and some folks reported this working for them, but not so for me. I always make sure not to have a bunch of stuff running in the background, nor do I have a bunch of add-ons and such. Simple, bare bones...Can someone out there help please?

Hi, for some reason Firefox is making it impossible to see the tooltip bar or context menu, but I can see it clearly on other browsers, as seen in the attached images. I've disabled my dark reader, set my system's default theme to light, installed other Browser themes, and nothing changes it. Any help is appreciated.

I'm having issues where Yahoo.com won't load on Firefox desktop. Any other site I try works fine... cnet, google, amazon, etc.

My home page is also yahoo. When I open Firefox, yahoo won't load. I'll go to another site which will load fine, then type in yahoo.com (instead of clicking home) and still won't load yahoo.

I get no error message, nothing, just the page won't load and after X amount of time it will stop trying and stay on whatever site I'm on at the moment.

Yahoo will load on chrome, edge, explorer.

I am using Firefox 82.0.2 (64-bit) - It is crashed multiple times just after the recent updates a couple of days ago, then destroyed my OneTab today, more than 2600 links stored over two years had gone and all the Opened Tabs. Please help me get back the OneTab Links! Tried to restore the previous version of the Firefox profile but received an error: 0x800704C8

Every time I try to post photos to Facebook I get the following message " A web page is slowing down your browser. What do you want to do?" followed by "Stop it" or 'wait". It doesn't seem to matter if I click "stop it", which doesn't seem to do anything or "wait". I can click "wait" a dozen times and nothing happens. I can not even find out what web page is doing this so it is impossible to block. For awhile I could use Chrome to post them but the same thing has started happening with that one to. And internet Explorer and Microsoft Bing as well.

This has been going on for 4 or 5 weeks now and is starting to effect my business.

Does anyone know what i can do about this? Asking Facebook for help is like asking the wall for help.

Just recently when i open ebay.co.uk or.com all I get is a list of ebay categories down the left hand side in blue.If I try to proceed everything goes extra large and e bay says there is a problem. It works in Android phone but is the same problem in chrome. I do need to use ebay during lockdown when I am confined to the house and want new supplies. I am not very tech minded so please help and sort this out for me. Many thanks and kind regards to all.David.

Hello, I have a problem with my firefox. Each time I open Firefox, appears a message below the adress bar "This network requires login, to get access to the Internet. If I click on login to the network, appears a site with "success" written (see appendix), but the mesaage bar is still visible unless I click to close it with "x". I tried to change the network settings but it didnt helped. I haven't change my Wifi. Please help to solve the problem. Greetings Lukasz

That an error message I receive when trying to access www.costo.com on Firefox.

Earlier posts (2017) suggested this is a VPN problem. Disable the VPN and Cosco, com comes up. Well I use a VPN for security and I don't want to disable it to shop at Costco. I don't have that problem with Opera or Chrome, so it must be a Firefox problem. I like Firefox and prefer to use it, but this problem is disappointing. I'm surprised that no one involved with Firefox has solved it yet (no disrespect to the volunteers who spend many hours trying to fix things). It must be a tricky problem. Any ideas other than disabling my VPN. That's not going to happen.

The problem: Some videos on YouTube gives me the "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available." "Click here to visit our frequently asked questions about HTML5 video." It's only a few of the newer videos on YouTube that is giving me this problem, it's not base on the uploader as i can watch some of their other newly uploaded videos. Furthermore at the same time this started to be a problem i also noticed another one, the side bare on the left would often not load.

I believe this problem started for me after the latest update i did to windows 10.

I am running 82.0.2 (64-bit) version of Firefox. i have tried most of the things listed in other post without success, disabling all extensions, running in safemode, resetting Firefox and reinstalling Firefox

So far as I am aware I have the latest update dated 3 November version 82.0.2 (this checked) The program should be bog standard EXCEPT that I configured a print icon to the top row with other icons. What follows I have tried printing with each print icon separately. The guess below refers to Shockwave Flash - means nothing to me.

Problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox. Went through the instructions - OK up to print from Internet Explorer worked perfectly. Followed "Reset Firefox printer setting" but didn't work. Went (with trepidation) to "Reset all Firefox printer settings" and started through that. Take copy as backup. OK Instruction Copy prefs.js to Wordpad and delete lines starting print_ This where it gets gnarly. What appears is a pictogram with a big exclamation mark. It can be expanded like any picture but not opened. I then tried from different positions on the prefs file (no prefs.js shown) with same result

Apologies, I posted this request and then realized I had not fully explained the problem. After successfully logging into NY Times, it asks me to log in again every time I try to read an article or open a puzzle. . NY Times advised be to use Chrome, said Firefox does not support their website as well as Chrome. Any way to overcome problem on Firefox?

A regular user of Google Translator, this add-on does not work anymore. If I click on the TRanslator button, the Google Translator will open up but immediately goes in to "search" or seems to try to link withsomething.

If I go to Google directly and sign on, I have accessto the Google Translator immediately. I would rather stay on the Firefox browser to access the Translator. I tried to refresh Firefox browser to see if that would solve the problem but to no avail..

Since the most recent Firefox for Windows update, all of my Firefox browsers on my PCs have suddenly stopped saving my already logged in cookies for my major use websites, such as Facebook, Outlook, Amazon, and Netflix. For the past few years, these websites all stay logged in, even when I have Firefox set to delete cookies when the browser is closed, in part because I have these websites all carefully noted in the cookies and site data exceptions. As I said, I've never had problems for the past few years. But since the most recent update a few weeks ago, all of my websites log me out after 24 hrs. I even changed the main cookies settings to not delete any cookies when the browser is closed, but that makes no difference. Something has changed in the most recent Firefox that has disabled the managed exceptions to cookie deletion. I'd love some help on how to fix this, as changing settings does not seem to do it.

Recently, I have encountered bookmarks duplicating when selected. They populate within the same folder. Is there some way that I can have only one instance of the same bookmark within a folder? Deleting the bookmarks is only temporary, on the next browser session launch they display again. I am using Sync, which otherwise is filing bookmarks correctly for devices associated with my account.

Firefox can't download from google drive if the file size is exceed for scanning virus, I tried to refresh it many time and close all add-ons, but I still can't download them, I tried another browsers and there are no problem, Please fix this issue as soon as possible, thankyou.

Hi,

When I launch my Slack workspace using Firefox, I obtain a fully white screen, with "about:blank" in the search bar (cf. screenshot).

It doesn't happen when I'm on Firefox with a private navigation, on Edge or Chrome, or when I use Slack app.

Slack support team assisted me on this issue resolution, and it happens the problem comes from my Firefox profile.

I created a new "test profile" and it works with it.

How can I solve out this problem: being able to use my current profile and connect on my Slack workspace?
