Hello, I am using a new HP computer with Firefox as my main browser. I use two screens. I have had problems with Firefox for the past couple of weeks. I usually have a couple of windows of Firefox open. One on the first screen with multiple tabs and another on the other screen. I also run chat programs, Discord, Antivirus programs, Zoom, Slack, and a few others.

Firefox crashing has also crashed other programs. I have had Discord crash a few times and Displayfusion crash as well.

I updated FireFox to the newest version. I even uninstalled and then reinstalled. I updated Windows. Flash is turned off. My video drivers are updated. I checked for viruses and spyware. I did have some Bit Coin Mining malware detected, but it was quarantined last week. All scans now are clear.

Hi all

I am running firefox 82.0.2 and I cannot export my bookmarks to html

When I take the jon file and check it on another browser many bookmarks are missing like a lot

Is there a tool I can use that will export my bookmark -- so the job gets done and I will remove my current version of firefox

The issue: on all sites, whenever media with audio plays (either automatically, or when I click), the audio stops after 2-3 seconds. If it is video, the video continues to play without sound. When it is audio-only, such as bandcamp, the timestamp stops. Audio resumes playing if I rewind or manually move the timestamp handle (scrubber?) back. This must be repeated each time the media is paused. Audio does not resume playing if play and pause are pressed, or if the site is refreshed.

Troubleshooting steps attempted so far:

• Tried a different browser. Microsoft Edge works just fine.
• Allowed autoplay for both audio and video
• Cleared cache, and ensured that cookies were allowed
• Turned off all adblockers
• Uninstalled flash
• Refreshed firefox settings

I'm at a loss!

The problem: Some videos on YouTube gives me the "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available." "Click here to visit our frequently asked questions about HTML5 video." It's only a few of the newer videos on YouTube that is giving me this problem, it's not base on the uploader as i can watch some of their other newly uploaded videos. Furthermore at the same time this started to be a problem i also noticed another one, the side bare on the left would often not load.

I believe this problem started for me after the latest update i did to windows 10.

I am running 82.0.2 (64-bit) version of Firefox. i have tried most of the things listed in other post without success, disabling all extensions, running in safemode, resetting Firefox and reinstalling Firefox

The other day a few programs got downloaded by accident so I went to Control (Windows 10) and deleted them. I recall at the time that it also added an add on or two in my Firefox Browser.

A couple of things are not working normally when I do a Google search with Firefox so I thought I should go back and delete the add ons that went into my Firefox which I didn't want.

But when I now go to tools and down to add ons all I get is a blank page.

I suspect the problem can be answer by deleting Firefox from my computer and downloading from the start but that will delete all the add ons that I have in the past put into Firefox and I cannot remember them all except Add Block, Webmail Ad Blocker and Adblock Plus.

Can someone please advise me but remember I am old and not at all computer savvy so any help will have to be in very basic description or guide.

Since the most recent Firefox for Windows update, all of my Firefox browsers on my PCs have suddenly stopped saving my already logged in cookies for my major use websites, such as Facebook, Outlook, Amazon, and Netflix. For the past few years, these websites all stay logged in, even when I have Firefox set to delete cookies when the browser is closed, in part because I have these websites all carefully noted in the cookies and site data exceptions. As I said, I've never had problems for the past few years. But since the most recent update a few weeks ago, all of my websites log me out after 24 hrs. I even changed the main cookies settings to not delete any cookies when the browser is closed, but that makes no difference. Something has changed in the most recent Firefox that has disabled the managed exceptions to cookie deletion. I'd love some help on how to fix this, as changing settings does not seem to do it.

The width of news columns have shrunk, and side columns like comments in New York Times have lost both width and height and are in smaller fonts. I normally run most web pages at 120-150% and the larger size seems to not passing on to the side columns. The column width issue also occurs on the Washington Post. The only change has been the Firefox update, and standard rebooting and troubleshooting makes no difference. I need to get back to the previous column and text sizes, including applying increased magnification. Is there any option short of trying to revert to the older version, which doesn't look easy.

I am using Firefox 82.0.2 (64-bit) - It is crashed multiple times just after the recent updates a couple of days ago, then destroyed my OneTab today, more than 2600 links stored over two years had gone and all the Opened Tabs. Hi, for some reason Firefox is making it impossible to see the tooltip bar or context menu, but I can see it clearly on other browsers, as seen in the attached images. I've disabled my dark reader, set my system's default theme to light, installed other Browser themes, and nothing changes it. Any help is appreciated.

I have used FF for years, now V82 on W7 starts out fine, but bogs down to point you can not type. I have tried all the fixes noted here without success. Monitoring both Windows Task Manager and FF Task Manager shows nothing unusual when this happens. Internet speed is 100MBS.

Turning off addons, limiting Tabs, clearing history, updating drivers, minimizing background programs, etc., has little or no effect. FF just bogs down, and usually doesn't recover until restarted.

This appears to be particularly noticeable on ebay, but does happen at random on other sites. Where else can I look for a clue to what the problem is?

Recently I was having the "toolbarbutton id= uitourtooltipclose" error when trying to start up firefox so as a fix I did a refresh through the uninstaller and ever since then I can't recover my old firefox data. I've copied over my old data and replaced files when it's asked me to but no matter what when I start firefox again no changes have happened and my old data isn't restored. I can't sign back in to my firefox account either because I've forgotten the password and for some reason my email won't receive the password reset email. Is there any other way to restore my old firefox data aside from copying and replacing current files since that's not working for me. Making a new profile and copying the old firefox data into the new profile doesn't work either. I'm using windows 10 firefox 82.0.2

Every time I try to post photos to Facebook I get the following message " A web page is slowing down your browser. What do you want to do?" followed by "Stop it" or 'wait". It doesn't seem to matter if I click "stop it", which doesn't seem to do anything or "wait". I can click "wait" a dozen times and nothing happens. I can not even find out what web page is doing this so it is impossible to block. For awhile I could use Chrome to post them but the same thing has started happening with that one to. And internet Explorer and Microsoft Bing as well.

This has been going on for 4 or 5 weeks now and is starting to effect my business.

Does anyone know what i can do about this? Asking Facebook for help is like asking the wall for help.

A few weeks ago Firefox 82.0.2 (64bit) became hellishly sluggish, and then a few days ago, began crashing. I did everything suggested on the Mozilla Troubleshoot list (e.g., Update, Start in Safe Mode, Virus & Malware check, hardware check, Refresh Firefox, etc) but it is still occurring--to the point I'm now compelled to use an alternative browser. However, I'd PREFER to use Firefox.

My only option as I see it is to Uninstall and Reinstall. Am I missing an easier/cleaner fix? Is a Reinstallation likely to fix the issue, or is there something else happening?

I use Firefox as default browser and cannot install Chrome. Downloaded Chrome and tried to install but I get 404 error message saying selected URL cannot be located on this server. I have cleared cache and cookies, didn't help.

weather.com has stopped working properly on FireFox, working OK on Chrome and Edge. Unable to select city, neither zip code nor city state works
