What happened to the Arial Black font? It suddenly disappeared from the list of fonts that appear in Tools >> Options >> Language and Appearance.

Due to vision problems, I require a bold font. Mozilla has now made it almost impossible for me to use Firefox. Does anyone know of a workaround to this problem?

also, a FYI: Removal of this font violates the Americans With Disabilities law.

Trying to access instagram.com but it gets stuck in a loop on terms and conditions screen, and eventually fails. Screenshot is attached.

Yesterday I updated Firefox to version 82 and now it won't start up, it seems to immediately crash. There is no error report dialog box. This is on Windows 10 with the latest patches. I tried restarting the computer, installing Firefox 82 32-bit and 64-bit versions, uninstall + reinstall, and safe mode, but none of these work. (This is on a corporate laptop so I have a limited ability to change internal system settings.) The Windows error from the event log is:

I installed Firefox 81 and that works fine, but it constantly tries to updated and every time I restart it crashes again. It also seems like I can't access my saved logins/passwords in this older Firefox version because it's using a different profile. I'm trying to avoid updating Firefox on my other Windows 10 computer in case it fails in the same way.

I have been requested to uninstall Adobe Flash player. I am still using Flash Player for some web sites and am ask to activate before video will work. At the end of the year I am told that Flash Player will no longer work. I asked one of the sites what I should do and they recommended using Chrome and html5 to watch video. I have also checked several sites to see what can be done with Firefox to continue watching video without changing browsers. I wish Firefox would put out a step by step process to fix this problem and allow me to use html5 in a Firefox browser. I am reluctant to uninstall Flash Player until I understand how to make html5 or whatever is required to continue to watch live stream and youtube. It looks like I have until January before Flash Player is inoperative. BTW, I have Firefox version 82, running Win10 with Shockwave Flash 32.0 r0. Jay

Firefox plays many sound effects that I find to be annoying.

For example, if you are searching on a page (ctrl+f, then type) and no phrase is found you get a "clunk" sound.

Is there any way to disable this?

My attempt at transferring profile from an existing machine to a new machine has not produced the intended result, and I need help.

I saved my firefox profile (on a 32-bit windows 7 machine; firefox was fully up to date) without firefox running, in a ZIP file (the letter number combination followed by dot followed by default), then copied the ZIP file to the new machine (windows 10 64-bit), unzipped it (so I had the same file name as from the old machine), then copied this folder into position at

C:\users\user\appdata\roaming\mozilla\firefox\profiles

I then started firefox on the new machine, went to about:profiles, created new profile, selected the folder (which was present at this step), then completed the procedure and started a new firefox with the new profile (the option given in about:profiles).

The new instance of firefox has none of my data (several thousand bookmarks, passwords, etc.); instead looks like the other (default new) profile.

The existing profile file set was (after this procedure) visible in

C:\users\user\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profiles

The restored profile is running now as "Default User" and reflects the folder I transferred from the old machine (except that I changed the word "default" in that folder to "main", leaving the number-letter part and the dot unchanged.)

No errors were indicated from firefox (which is running version 83 now) during any steps of the old back-up/archive save step or the new restore/recover step.

What am I doing wrong? How can I recover my existing profile data? The procedure, while not very friendly, seems straightforward enough. I don't want to go into the details of recovering specific database files/folders; I'd just like the profile I had before functioning in the new machine.

All my Bookmarks and Tabs have vanished after the Firefox 82.0.3 update yesterday. Related? Searching for hours, including Firefox site and cannot find solution. I noticed 'Restore Previous Session' was recommended as a 'fix' at some links. Mine is grayed out...if that matters. I have VERY important bookmarks, including links related to Hurricane Sally destruction to my home. PLEASE HELP! I'm not very computer savvy, so 'instructions for dummies' would be helpful. PS...I was able to bookmark this page, but at least 100 bookmarks vanished. Tabs & Bookmarks are fine with Safari and Chrome. Unfortunately, I rarely used those and did not migrate most Bookmarks to them. Lesson learned. Thanks in advance John

One feature at www.weather.com (Weather Channel) is their "weather in motion" feature which loads interactive weather radars. For some reason, this is not working on my Firefox browser. It works fine in Chrome and Edge. The weather.com website loads just fine but the radar data (overlay on a map) will not load. IT WORKS FINE IN SAFE MODE. So i tried to disable all of my plug-in's, extensions and hardware acceleration in Firefox in regular mode. Still doesn't work. I created a new profile. Still doesn't work. I disabled the tracker feature in Firefox on that web page. Still doesn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash. Still doesn't work. Any ideas???

Firefox version 82.0 64 bit Running Windows 10 Professional

Firefox, latest version, keeps logging me out of sites. I have tried all troubleshooting suggestions offered on the web that I could find, short of starting all over by resetting profile, which I do NOT want to do.

Anyone have any suggestions other than the standard ones about cookies, preference settings having to do with cookies, private browsing, deleting all cookies, deleting cookies files in profile folder, extension issues, etc?

I have two email accounts (let's say A and B) and I would like to have one different firefox account for every email account. The firefox account for email A is fine. However, when I try to create a firefox account with the email B:

• Already exist a firefox account associated with email B
• When I try to log in with email B or recover the password for email B, the following message is shown: Primary account email required for reset.

Both, email A and B should be primary accounts since I don't have any other email accounts. I also checked if email B is set as secondary email for the firefox account A, but that's not the case.

How could I make a firefox account for my email B?

Since installing Firefox on my new laptop I'm unable to access my profile on the following website:

I always get Invalid email/password combination even after resetting my password numerous times.

I can access my profile on mobile using the same credentials but not on my pc browser.

Please any assistance will be appreciated.

I have started getting alerts from Norton 360 regarding "malicious browser extension activity 4" from a website called https://tribedone.org. I have no idea what the website is (I can't reach it) but the alert is showing very often and Norton requires a shutdown each time it detects and repairs the issue. Any suggestions please? Screenshot attached.

A few days ago Firefox automatically updated and destroyed all my logins and passwords and a huge amount beside. Yes, there was blurb about how to find them which involved a file which did not exist on my system and the whole was not comprehensible.

I did ask for help but got nothing

Somehow, the next day my system had gone back to the earlier setup. Now Firefox wants me to update AGAIN!

Given my experience how can I trust Firefox not to destroy my data?

Anyone else know why Google Photos site doesn't work with Firefox? It's quite frustrating. Can tell if this is a problem with the Firefox browser itself, or with the google photos site...

I apparently have multiple copies (2) of Firefox 82.0.3 installed on my computer. ?? How do I remove one without compromising my bookmarks, etc.? I would like to download v 83.0 but would like to clean up beforehand.

I have noticed that when I type "!g" in front of my search string in the address bar, the search is done with google despite using a different search engine. In addition, almost every letter on the keyboard will search a particular domain. For example, "!r" searches through reddit.

The weird thing is that I cannot find any documentation of this anywhere, and I cannot find any settings on this anywhere. The only similar thing is being able to use "@" with a custom keyword that has been previously set in the "search engines" menu in the settings. But this menu is limited and it is difficult to add search engines to it, as it requires you to visit that website, find the green plus sign in the tiny looking glass icon on the search bar next to the address bar, and click it and add the search engine. Then you can customize the keyword and then you can use, for example "@w" for example, to search wikipedia. But not every website gives you the option to add their search engine. For example,visiting Reddit results in no green plus sign over the looking glass icon in the search bar next to the address bar, despite the fact that "!r" works just fine.

So this is all very confusing, I hope someone can tell me what is going on. Thanks.

For as long as I can remember, my gmail used to automatically open the Inbox when I started Firefox. To do that, the Options>Home>Homepage and new windows>Custom URLs included the address of the gmail Inbox, i.e. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox.

However, since Firefox v82.0 installed, I cannot get gmail to open automatically on Firefox startup. Even time, I am forced to say I want to sign in and then enter user name and password (obviously I have those saved so i just have to accept their entry but that's not the point).

This is already annoying. However, as I live in a Spanish-speaking country, gmail automatically defaults to Spanish and I have to reset it, each time, to English. If the inbox opened as it used to do, it would presumably not default to Spanish ("helpful" Google service) as it never used to to that.

Firefox has my gmail username and password saved so what am I doing wrong? Why has this changed from earlier Firefox versions and I how do I get around whatever is forcing this?

I know this question has been asked before but I am hoping for an update and maybe to learn something new to try...

I installed the latest Firefox (April 2021) on Ubuntu mate 64 bit.

I use my laptop Touchpad to move the cursor around on web pages. I go to the vertical scroll bar to scroll down the page... I left click on the scroll bar, hold the left button, then start dragging down on the Touchpad but.

Often, when I am on a web page that is long, the scroll bar will jump and skip all the way to the bottom of the screen even though I'm just dragging it down a little and slowly too. Sometimes the scroll bar keeps racing down the page even when I am not dragging the cursor down at all.

I don't notice this behavior in Chrome or Brave or in other Ubuntu mate user interface elements.

I tried solutions in that question such as going in to about:config and tried... general.smoothScroll.scrollbars.durationMaxMS (changed this from 150 to 75) general.smoothScroll.scrollbars.durationMinMS (changed this from 150 to 50)

I also downgraded to Firefox 82.0.3 but this has not solved the problem either.

Is this a known bug that is being worked on? What else can I try apart from switching back to Brave?
