The built-in screenshot tool is very useful but these popup messages ("Your shot has been copied to the clipboard") are so annoying. Popups don't disappear automatically and you need to click on it every single time you take a screenshot. These little nuances are ruining my user experience of using FireFox because I take screenshots often. Is there any way to make it disappear in X seconds? I didn't find any in about:config. PS: Sorry for engrish.

Hello! I didn't find any feature request forums, so I am writing here.

I would like to be able to attach a container to a saved bookmark, so if I want to open it, it would open in that container by default. That would help greatly keeping my user data separated.

My internet and computer are fast. Recently, with the latest versions, it is taking about 5 seconds before a website starts to appear. If I close the tab and go back to the website, it is almost instant.

What is ff doing that is taking it so long. Is it verifying the website or some such thing? How can I speed this up.

Chrome and Edge both load the sites instantly as well, so it's FF that is slow, but only on the first visit after launching FF.

I tried it in safe mode, same problem.

are there some settings I can look at? I tried Chrome and no problem downloading, Hope someone can help I like FFox more then the others.

even when I go to clear cookies from a site like this one https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/ by clicking the padlock icon, and select Clear Cookies and Site data, it freezes.

I can download and Save programs top right of the screen.

So the problem is that Firefox doesn't play any HTML5 content. Weirdly except for Youtube. Youtube works just fine. But every other Website shows errors. Even songsterr.com. I'm using latest Firefox 76.0.1 on a recent Ubuntu 20. 04 LTS installation. Usual troubleshooting like updates doesnt work because "sudo apt-get upgrade" doesn't find any updates. I tried the same websites in the latest version of Chromium and they work perfectly fine. I couldn't find a mistake in the firefox settings or something so I'm confused. Disabling Plugins didn't change anything and turning of tracking protection didn't either. What is the Problem here and how can I solve it?

Hi there,

My website sparticipant.dev.pivt.nl is having some issues on Firefox browsers (I'm seeing the issues with Firefox Version 76.0.1 (64-bits) on windows.

When I navigate to my website, I get the following message:

   Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to sparticipant.dev.pivt.nl.
The OCSP response does not include a status for the certificate being verified.
   Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_OCSP_RESPONSE_FOR_CERT_MISSING.

I checked my website's cert and looking at OCSP_RESPONSE_DATA, I think a response is sent. I tried with Chrome and that works well. What am I missing here?

But why is it resetting by itselves now last time yesterday, first after weeks and then shorter and shorter. Hello,

Just recently there has been issues with how a job search at Glassdoor.com is appearing via my Firefox browser. It seems that the formatting is all messed up, and everything gets shoved to the left margin, and there is no scroll bar. (See first image)

If I reduce the size of the zoom level, I can see the search results actually have appeared, but they are shoved even further to the left margin and no scroll bar again. (See second image)

This only happens with anything connected with a job search at Glassdoor.com. Salary search, company search, etc are all fine, just the job search, which is really inconvenient since I am actively looking for a job.

I've attached images of this for you.

The job search pages work fine in Chrome. Please don't make me use Chrome.

Thank you,

Sheri

I've been using Firefox to store logins and passwords and manage bookmarks on one computer for 10 years+. I always just opened a browser, clicked "tools" then went to my saved passwords. Today I got a new computer and wanted to sync with my Firefox from the old computer. The old computer is asking for a Firefox password, which I don't have (I've tried everything I can think of but I set it 10 years ago). I searched for help online and tried setting a "Master Password." Now, despite entering the EXACT password I selected, it is saying it's wrong and I'm locked out of all of my saved logins on the original computer as well.

I have a secondary email but nothing seems to generate a recovery email (yes, I am stupid and didn't enable recovery key and now I cannot do it because I don't have the password). Is there any way for me to get back into my saved logins? I am using the old computer to work from home and cannot complete any work now. The company sent me a brand new laptop, but all of my logins and passwords are on the old computer tha now wants a master password.

After a long browser session, sometimes the keyboard shortcut Alt-D stops working, but other keyboard shortcuts like Alt-H work fine.

The shortcuts F6 and Ctrl-L still work.

A restart of the browser fixes it though, so I haven't explored further.

It's not easy to replicate consistently; Firefox doesn't show it when first opened, but after prolonged use it may occur and then stay that way until restarted.

I am using Firefox version 76.0.1 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 18.04. I am not using the [German version of Firefox].

I know I can make this go away with a restart, I'm just curious if there's some troubleshooting steps I could take to identify the cause.

I have been experiencing extreme slow down of Video since last week in May. I'm on Win7 and have System restored 2x, Malwarebytes 1x, Norton full scan is done nightly and the problem has not been found while the symptoms worsen daily. Today I tested Chrome (I prefer Firefox so I ask for assistance to resolve this) and have had no slowing, & I'm viewing the same You Tube Vids. One other item that may be relevant. The yellow info bar which notifies that the site loading hangup is a Website with the user option to stop it or wait. Meanwhile the You Tube I'm watching is the only site I opened, and is not affected by the Stop it selection. Thanks in advance, Paul

Hi all,

I had firefox open with three windows - and a LOT of tabs. It's always bee's set to automatically restore the last session when opened. Somehow after being closed (maybe more than once), I lost one window's tabs entirely - the one with the most tabs - somehow the window was still there, but with only two tabs that I'd never even opened - and all the tabs I had opened and wanted gone. Using history to reopen them all really isn't an option - way too many of them.

I found this information on restoring the prior session: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1279192

And used JSCher2000's webpage https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html and was able to figure out that the session I need, with all three windows and all the tabs I wanted, are in one of the upgrade.jsonlz4-build_id files. They're NOT in the recovery.jsonlz4 file or the recovery.baklz4 file - both of those have the window with only two tabs that I don't want and all the ones I do want gone.

I tried closing firefox, making a backup of the whole sessionstore-backups folder onto my desktop, then going back to the real one, deleting the recovery.jsonlz4 file, duplicating the upgrade.jsonlz4-build_id file, then renaming the duplicate recovery.jsonlz4. When I reopened firefox, it didn't show that window that I wanted, however, it opened just as it had before with that third window having the two tabs I don't want and none of the large number that were there that I do want.

I've included a screen grab of the session store folder, with the file that has all the right windows and tabs highlighted, in case that helps at all.

Help please!
